Hi Sahil - my 19 yr old daughter is studying B.Eng (software) in YU,Toronto. She has completed first year. She knows French and will have 12 months Canadian work experience through Co-OP before graduation. Is there any reason to worry if she applies through STEM for express entry. Please suggest if possible

Co - op work experience isn’t consider as experience . If she knows good french and get job in stem category after graduation it’s highly likely that she will be eligible. Without French it’s hard but possible with good ielts score and employer support in stem category.

Are nice and nephew ( my blood relative sisters kids) considered blood relatives for Canadian pr application?

For express entry points only siblings are considered and you can get points.

Indians go for foreign land education in expectation of in return getting high paying jobs. Canada has limited opportunities as compared to America.

Sahil why are you still pushing PG Diplomas. Speak to anyone with a PG Diploma and you’ll know they’re struggling to get a full time job, they’re all scrambling to secure part time work. Over and above that if they stick to the 30% allocation for General you’ll know that all the Masters and current inland candidates will primarily secure the PR spots. The PG diploma, unless in a skilled trades, nursing, is proving to be absolutely valueless. Even the folks doing analytics, data science PG diplomas are struggling. These institutions are also in the news all the time because of their improprieties with issuing an admission to anyone with a pulse that their brand value to Canadians is in the gutter. To anyone out there, speak to someone who’s gone through the education system and recruiting process here before taking a decision. Agents opining on career path are assuming you’ll get a job and get PR points which is far from the ground reality in the new Canada.
