The chaplain are especially frightening. They’re still space marines and can kill someone in the time it takes someone to blink. But these guys know how to take their time.
So you know how Lion El Johnson has just an instinctual and inhuman even amongst his brothers level of battlefield acumen and by extension his sons? now take that ability and apply it to psychology. Makes Interrogator chaplains even more terrifying of just the thought of you saying a sentence and them instantly figuring out how to break you. Swear to the emperor man if 10 interrogator chaplains went to work with the inquisition for a week they would cut the yearly chaos incursions in the imperium in half figuratively and literally. PS: can someone pray to something to have a 40k version of Detroit become human? but instead of a melodramatic robot you're an interrogator chaplain?

I agree totally. All primarchs a preternatural ability the lions most well known is strategic warfare but he also cast a shadow of fear akin to a predator who waits even amongst his brothers. None of his siblings truly understood him but ALL respected him. I think the fight with leman made built a bond stronger than most because war is really either understood
My favourite bit in the book Master of Sanctity which covers the highest ranking Chaplains in the DAs, talks about Asmodai starting ranting, then discusses someone's thoughts who is not listening to him... before concluding telling us that Asmodai's raving has come to an end. He's a very angry fellow, and it amuses me no end.
I recently listened to the audiobook version of Lion El'Johnson: Lord of the First and I couldn't help but notice that they made it a point to push the fact that the Lion was indeed the first and the most like his father with the rest just being copies of copies. I can't help but think this will play an important role to the 1st Primarch's reintroduction.

when i was like 12-15, this was like one of the most coolest thing i saw, it was a dark angel chaplain, huge and super scary, that was one of the things that got me into WH40K

Such is Asmodai's brutality and excess that even Supreme Grand Master Azrael has had to counteract and cover up his actions multiple times over the Chapter's history.

My fist interrogator chaplian was a conversion of one on a bike with the mighty mace of redemption back in 6thed. Oh how he unleashed merciless fury with that mace as he smashed xenos, heretics, traitors, and deamons to a pulp while his retinue of black knights paved the way for the deathwing to drop in. Working on converting him into a primaris chaplian since they legended the interrogators on bikes.
You know, the whole video I was calling bullshit - how could any of this be justified in-narrative? It's too extreme, too over the top to be anything other than a cool, grimdark affectation. There could be no meat here, no depth, but then...then you pointed out that it's not the Chaos Gods that are the worst thing in the galaxy. Or rather, they're just learning from mortals. Saw the video and clicked like ASAP! In the comic Will of Iron. The interrogator chaplain was depicted like in the video. Calm. Heartless and most of all deadly. For they are the Grim Resolve that drives the Dark Angles towards their goals and will stop at nothing until their bloody task is finished.

I got Asmodai and Chaplain as a gift from a friend, then I bought some Deathwing Knights for rule of cool, only to find out they worked so well together, great video Baldermort!

As you said in your video on the Dark Angels proper, they are the template and always second best. Knowing this, and knowing what the interrogator chaplains are capable of, if the Night Lords had remained loyal, they could have had their own interrogator chaplains capable of making demons repent.
Torture is proven ineffective for accurate intelligence, everybody will say anything just to keep the blowtorch away. So after months/years/centuries, all of us, even a Space Marine, enduring this, pleads guilty.
That's the thing. Interrogator-Chaplains are not looking for intelligence. They are not not looking for pleas of guilt. The guilt of the Fallen is already established. They will receive absolution either by repenting, or it will be taken from their flesh. Either way, it is a step towards erasing the stain on the honour of the First Legion.

As you said in your video on the Dark Angels proper, they are the template and always second best. Knowing this, and knowing what the interrogator chaplains are capable of, if the Night Lords had remained loyal, they could have had their own interrogator chaplains capable of making demons repent.
