Dude! I had no idea you could do this to the walkers! Definitely gonna snag a beofeng radio.I have 3 sets of the walker walkie talkies and they are great for short range, but you add in walls or multiple levels and its pretty spotty. This will be a great upgrade and means Itll work with the Ops arm knock offs im running 10/10 haha Subbed!!

You can also use the Baofeng shoulder mics which have a direct 3,5mm output. They're cheap, but quality is a bit of a hit and miss.

@@peterhaller2797 Common problem on those. Take off the cover from the mic, and check the solder connections where the cable attaches to the mic head. On mine, I had one where the connection was loose and one where two wires were reversed.
It's easy to follow which wire goes where with a multimeter, there is no circuitry inside the mic.

Do I understand it correct, that you use the mic on t he Baofeng itself for the communication? If so a simple single push to talk cable should also just work instead of this split one - right!?

I have a baofeng lapel mic with an audio out jack that appears to be a 3.5 mm. But neither of my auxiliary cords work. Any idea of the type of auxiliary cord? If I insert my aux cords half way I get audio on the headset and mic. But if I insert it all the way I get no audio at all. Thanks

@@AshesWorkshop If you’re in the US and operate on designated ham frequencies, you are required to have a license, no question. Unfortunately many people these days couldn’t care less, will operate unlicensed, and eventually will give the FCC the excuse to commercialize all the frequencies and sell them for business/government use.
