Learn how to hit a draw with irons by making these simple changes to your golf setup. In this golf draw lesson, Todd Kolb shows you how his new Vertical Line Swing Tour Draw system will help you master the high golf draw shot with easy golf swing tips!
I’m gonna let you in on a secret:
You do not have to live with your golf slice. You can learn how to draw the golf ball.
If you keep slicing your irons, it’s not because you don’t have time to practice.
It’s not because you’re “just an okay golfer.”
It’s because no one has taught you the right way to fix it.
In today’s lesson, I show you how to hit a nice, high draw with your irons.
This method is easy to learn, easy to repeat, and you’ll start seeing results immediately.
It also goes against everything you’ve learned about conquering the slice.
But that’s exactly why it works.
If this feels revolutionary to you, wait until you check out Tour Draw.
Tour Draw is a video series that reveals all the secrets for consistently hitting a nice, high draw with any club.

Great teaching
Thanks
Allan Patrick - New Brunswick Canada. After my first round of the season where I only hit a handful of quality shots, I went back to the VLS videos and it reinforced three things I wasn't doing properly; the VLS takeaway, the vertical backswing with the flexed lead wrist, and especially the lateral weight shift forward. I suddenly started making terrific contact. The VLS setup and backswing naturally sets you up for a square club face at impact, and rotating the hips instead of the lateral weight shift was pulling me off the ball and ruining most swings. The improvement was like magic. It is amazing how you can go over the videos again and again and things sink in differently. Now can stay on the ball much better and contact is vastly improved. The VLS swing system will help anyone who stick with it. Thanks again Todd!
I like the split screen of the side view and front view. That really helps. Not sure why all golf videos do not do this.
Thanks for the feedback, we will pass forward to the content team. Are you following the Vertical Line Swing system?
South Central Kansas here, just started my golf journey 2 months ago and have been ate up with trying to figure out to hit the best Golf shot possible! I can’t wait to apply these tomorrow on the range. Great easy to follow instruction
You go this, thanks for the kind words. You would benefit from reading our book THE BAD LIE which can be found on Amazon. We cover the entire Vertical Line Swing system.
Closed stance, higher lead shoulder, finish high - has been working for me. Thanks Lefty Ron Florida
The Vertical Line Swing is working!
Got your book. Love it! So much good stuff it there. I highly recommend it,
Awesome, thank you! Hope we are helping you improve and enjoy this great game even more.
I have more of a tendency to pull my irons. Can you advise?
I'm wanting to start golfing 48 years old trying to figure out what clubs to put in my bag. West Virginia here.
Great instruction as always. Can you start doing more drills with Live View? It's a great visual !!!
We like LiveView, great product and people.
Swing the club along the toe line or swing the club on the target line?
Toe line. We cover this in our book www.badliegolfbook.com/
What would you say if
Feet are straight down the line
But you turn close slightly with hips so
Shoulders are pointing towards 1 o’clock
Are you on a side hill lie with feet a bit below?
Hi Todd. What about a head tilt to the trail side to influence the swing plane?
Great question, yes the tilt of the head and neck can have a huge impact on swing direction and flexibility
So what you’re saying basically is that one should square the face and move the right foot a few inches back or below the left foot?
I meant behind the left foot
Merida, Yucatan, Mexico
Yes, clubface square to the target line with the feet slightly closed. We cover all this in our book THE BAD LIE which you can find on Amazon if interested in learning more.
Maybe a lesson on the release would help most of us. I noticed on the slomo you released as you should right hand over left left hand cupped. Watching pro's in slomo they all do it. I been working on it but to me it's hard. To hook it.
This will help with your driver ua-cam.com/video/IFa3Z8YO_yo/v-deo.htmlsi=NiGAfFEVUaG2gLun
@@USGOLFTVshow Thanks Todd that helped me understand the release.
Are the shoulders lined up the same as the toe line? Or are the shoulders on the same line as the target line?
Great question. I’ve found it’s easier for me to hit a draw if the shoulders match the toe line. Just my 2 cents. Please note the ball position seems ‘off’ but it works.
Shoulders to the toe line. This is covered along with the entire Vertical Line Swing in our book THE BAD LIE which you can find here www.badliegolfbook.com/
When I slightly close my stance, many times I end up leaving it out to the right, not a slice, but a push. Is my face still too open relative to the target line?
Great question Tim! When you close your stance, the key is to keep your club face Square to the target line. Watch the part of the video that starts here for that specific question: ua-cam.com/video/bCe7aW3HCBk/v-deo.htmlsi=vMcLVqKjtj_5phPJ&t=237
If you are keeping your club square relative to your aim, you likely will experience a push to the right because everything is set up right of the target.
Thanks for subscribing!
Would these same concepts work to fix slicing with the driver?
Yes, I would also watch this ua-cam.com/video/flPkrhHzOec/v-deo.htmlsi=pjxSJIBD_VGLo_5X
Same concept with Hybrids?
Yes, same concepts.
👍👏👍👏
