    • @DiodeBeta
      @DiodeBeta 3 роки тому +14

      I think it's a matter of you aren't paying attention to everything because you physically can't as a ref, then you hear the impact or it catches your eye and then you look down and see the feet in the arm, throw up the arm, and toss em. It's unfortunate when they get it wrong but it's a tough job to see everything out there.

    As a ref, I would’ve given Nasher a 2 for head contact and a 2 for roughing (cause of the scrum) and #7 would’ve gotten a 2 for charge, 2 interference and a 2 for roughing (again for the scrum). Essentially, you guys should’ve had a 2 min powerplay. Absolutely no reason to have given Nasher a major. Leaving your feet is not grounds for an automatic major penalty, especially if the hit itself is what caused the player to leave his feet. Nasher saw the player coming to make a hit, while Nasher did t have the puck, and all Nasher did was stand his ground

    If you zoom in on the video you can see a bit of head contact, but there should’ve been a Tripping, Cross Checking and Slashing penalty before the hit was laid, but the leaving your feet thing made no sense, you clearly stayed on your feet. Maybe a major would’ve worked better on both you and the other guy.

    At best that would have been charging (going by what the ref thinks he saw). Maybe worth a penalty, but not a game misconduct. Considering the numerous other penalties that were ignored (there's several slashes and trips that went uncalled), that seems a bit excessive for defending yourself.

    • @Pavsy73
      @Pavsy73 3 роки тому +3

      100%. Only thing that might have justified it is tossing both guys. That can be seen as a way to settle the game down, tossing just Nasher was a bit much.

    You handled that situation extremely well! If it were me after I absolutely crushed him I would’ve hammered him into the rink to earn my ejection. There was no need for an ejection in that case a penalty would have been just fine.
