As a biased Tennessee fan, I believe we are good and can give the top dogs a tough game. But it is hard to say after week 1 against UTC. Really excited for NC State and then Oklahoma, so we can really evaluate how good this team actually is.

Our #3 punt returner in the past few years has been Dee Williams. He graduated last yr. Squirrel White was #10 last yr as a receiver he is now #3 punt returner/Receiver
This year is the beginning of a very special run for Tn. I think next year will be even better and the team after that even better. I think the Vols drop 2 and get in the playoffs this year.
One of the reasons that the receivers away from the throw stop their routes so that if the pass is incomplete, they don’t have to run so far back to lineup for the next play, keep the tempo going.

Chattanooga is picked to win the southern conference this year. Not the same caliber team as tennessee, but well coached. After the teams we've had for the last 20 years...I'm very pleased.
I think we can be elite. I think the nc state will give a bit clearer picture, but the Florida and Alabama games are going to be the key games. I'll worry about uga if we beat Alabama and Florida 😂

Nico is the real deal! Defense needs lots of work in my opinion, left alot of deap coverage wide open where teams like Georgia and Bama will smoke us on.
I guess I wanna see how this team reacts when they play a full 4 qtrs. in the trenches. It would be nice if they didn’t have to lol but I think they are a playoff team and if a team makes it to the playoffs they are gonna have some dogfights. I didn’t start watching football until after Peyton and the natty. Part of me is hesitant to say this, but something about watching Nico last week felt special. I’m as skeptical as any Vols fan, normally I wouldn’t take anything away from that game. But there’s something idk how to explain about watching Nico. Like I said, something felt special. I’ve seen UT qb’s have great games against FCS schools, but this seems different
I think we have a very good season, although we still have secondary concerns. Hard to tell a lot against a very mismatched UTC. We will know more next week against NC State and Oklahoma a couple weeks later. I do think the offense looks 100% better in efficiency and explosiveness compared to last year. I said yesterday that the first half may well be the best half of football Tennessee has played since a UT alum was head coach. If everyone stays healthy, this team will be in the playoffs and quite possibly have a bye.
Tennessee is an 11-1; 10-2 football team. I know that people will laugh at that, but Nico is the X Factor and this defense is deep. The secondary is improved from last year. Its not great or elite, but itll be solid enough. The dline is the best and deepest in the country and they have good depth at linebacker. With the way this offense will score, that dline is going to feast a lot late in games and with the rotation theyll have theyll have fresh legs.
As a runner I'm assuming he was going to dip back to the right and go around what would then be the left side of the defensive line. Which is wide open

At 8:43, that wasn't on NIco, the long ball miss. Brazzell slowed up. The ball was perfectly thrown and this is a getting used to the QB thing for a WR. A few times last year this happened with Joe MIlton. But if he does not slow up he has an easy TD in stride.
This team can go 11-2 and if they do no panel in the CFB playoff world is going to keep them out of a 12 team playoff. Even 9-3 I could see them possibly making a case of getting in. And If... if that were to happen As a Vol fan of 40 years. I will take my chances with this team in a Playoff setting against anybody and yes In a Playoff setting GA fans, OU fans, TX fans, Michigan Fans ,and u Bama fans. I mean anybody. Go Vols! Great Vid

It’s not what TN did. It’s what Nico looked like. Last year we could barely throw the ball over the middle bc Joe Milton sucked. It handicapped our offense. Nico can make all the throws and he has that 5 star pedigree so of course people are excited.
No clue how good they are yet. Easily above average. We will find out next week if Nico is amazing or not, decent opponent. True test week 4 in Norman. Go to Norman and win then I feel we are a 10-2 floor team. Lose, and we are 8 9 win team
Over the weekend, I saw a lot of good offenses in blowouts of other teams. But for this offense, it looks like it was the smoothest and least effort for maximum production. In one half of football Nico's production rivaled many QB's who played the whole game. I'm looking at you Milroe, Arnold, Cam Ward, even Beck from UGA. Sure it's Clemson's D vs Chattanooga's but does anyone really believe this TN offense would only be up 6-0 over Clemson at the half? LOL. Not a chance. They were up more at the half over Clemson in the 22 Orange Bowl with Joe Milton at QB than UGA with Beck in Atlanta.
Tennessee played a very vanilla defense...Josh and Tim Banks didn't show their hand....Plus Rickey Gibson was out with a hammy...he plays this week for sure and watch James Pierce and West live in the backfield of NC State.
As a team... Chattanooga just did not show up to play and it was hot................. Felt sorry for them as they had a chance at another FG and a touchdown. ..................... enjoy
How good is this TN team. Well, one sample size. They did everything the 22 offense could do, but looks smoother doing it and did just a little more offensively as well as more defensively and special teams. Hooker would have had to work harder doing this. By that I mean more runs to get the production that Nico is getting via passing and using his RB's. To get these numbers offensively, it would have Taken imo, Hooker 3 and a half quarters maybe four. Nico did it in two. In short, this team isn't having to work nearly as hard to get production on both sides of the ball as the 22 team did. And the secondary in 22 would have given up a TD. It also felt like this team didn't feel like it had to really really fast to get a big first half lead. It kinda looked like they did it nonchalantly vs blur ball. That is the scary. When you add in Lance Heard, more elite WR's, I think this offense would beat the 22 offense. And is Thornton (#1) Jayln Hyatt 2.0? A fine attempt at identity theft! lol. Ran like him, caught like him. I don't know how fast Thornton could run, but he's very fast.
Offensively we will be one of if not the best in the country. We have a great defensive line. Solid LB’s. Just not sure on our secondary especially the safeties. I actually think our corners are very talented just inexperienced.
