Many happy memories of backpacking and wildcamping the SDW over 6 days in 2019
There were some really great trails on this ride! I imagine you had great fun backpacking there! 👌🌞👍
Hi Julie
This looks amazing.
Us ladies need to get out there more 😊
I live in Poole, so maybe a meet-up, coffee, and, of course a little cycle 🚲 Mandy
Thanks Mandy. 👍That would be great, we are unfortunately a bit busy for the next weekend. We will be doing a gravel guerrilla Ride in the forest on the 2nd July. It starts from cafe velo in Ringwood. Check out the events on gravel guerrilla fb group

Hope you can make this.
Hi Julie, we are in France until 3rd July and then back on shift from Monday 🙃
@@gary2287 aw, have a lovely time. Will you be cycling out there?
Yes, we are planning too
Hi Julie, this is Mandy Gary's other half, I use his UA-cam account 😊
Ooh, more rutted rough stuff. Aaahhh, food at last. More ruts. There are proper roads around Winchester. Oh, grass is not technical. Ah, real road again.now, down on the drops for high speed downhill. Thanks for the footpath ride. Cheers.
Julie, remember, you’re never lost, just exploring somewhere new!! 😜
That's so true Darren! 👍😉🙂Adventuring in the countryside!, 🚴🏻♀️
A video masterpiece once again with stunning views, well done Legends 🚴🏼♀️🚴🏼♂️🙌
Cheers Mark, so nice to explore new places! 👍🚵
Beautiful ride, such views and nice weather too. You wait, Julie will be wearing a Hawaiian shirt too before you know it.
Haha Dan.!😅 You never know, I've seen a few bright colourful cycle tops online that are on my wishlist. 😀
Well, that looked like a lot of fun, and a lovely route!
It was a really good route Jaqaroo! Nice to ride different areas! 👍🌞
Eccelent weather ,lovely countryside, nice route 👏👏👏
It was a bit special wasn't it Peter, one of the best rides this year...
Nice ride Mike and Julie very well done. Beautiful area though tree lined track. Great climbing and decent, have a fantastic week.
Thank you Terry, enjoy your week too👍
Not a fan of Ketchup Julie? Woo you're weird! ;-) T'is the elixir of life itself! (what have UA-cam done with the smileys eh? They're needed sometimes to convey polite mickey taking!)
Another cracking ride!
Haha Mick ketchup would definitely spoil a bacon bap or a sausage sandwich for me!😖 😖
(I've still got emojis, maybe your keyboard is hiding them! 🤔)
That looked a great ride 👍
It was Chris, just technical enough in places to make it exciting without being too scary 😁👍
The sunshine elevated the ride several fold. Well captured and great to see you both complete it this time round without mechanical gremlins but I did notice Julie deviate from the official route just to add adventure. (Shaun)
What difference Shaun and what a great ride👍 Thanks😁
That was gorgeous except for the brake heating downhill section. Pretty gnarly. Off on a few archery shoots so our rides will be through you two till the end of the month. Thanks.
Enjoy your shoots Ken, fascinating stuff archery. Thank for watching 👍
your friend is not wrong about riding a gravel bike after an mtb, i rode my hardtail mtb for 3 weeks solid without going near my gravel bike, went out on the gravel bike the other day kept looking down to see if someone had fitted a motor to it. wish i lived closer to your area, the trails you have there are stunning.
Yes, we're very lucky around here. We found a lot of trails through local gravel bike Facebook groups. Might be worth a try... 👍 There's not many trails we can't ride on the gravel bikes, we might be a bit slower when it gets really technical, otherwise we can cover a lot of milesat a good pace in a day on the gravel bikes...
Thanks for the kind words Mr Wheeler
No problem, just keep enjoying yourself Mr Eagles
I've done the road version of Butser and Old Winchester Hill they're bad enough. Ive also done Butser up from QE Country Park on the mtb and emtb. I knows which one I preferred! 😉😂. Looked a great route though. That pretty village Julie remarked on, was it Cheriton?
Could well have been Cheriton 👍 We went through a few. I guessed there'd be several ways up all of the climbs, that last one wasn't the steepest but it went on and on and on... 🤣 Cheers
Wow that’s a nice route you find the best rides, I think I need a wahoo is it? Mind you I expect mostly the roads round me might be more suitable for my MTB not sparkle bike lol.
Sorry for lack of comments lately I’m slowly catching up on all my UA-cam favourites, I blame a new puppy keeping me occupied. I must say I’ve missed the yahoos
We too have been under time pressure for the past few months, it's how life is these days. We are always grateful for the time you and all others are willing to devote to our videos. Thank you Michelle...
Is that “mountain bike” with straight bars, no suspension, and huge sprockets, any slower than all you racers on gravel race drop bar bikes? Hmm, I wonder.
Not with Viktor on it...
@@WheelersAtLarge As I wrote earlier, knobbly tyres go as fast as the rider has the power.
