  • I'm so happy finally bringing you guys a new banger!
    The Prophet is of course a huge part of this performance, but what you don't see, is the new equipment I've invested in. I bought a new audio interface with more inputs as well as a MIDI foot controller. Everything is a lot smoother now, and it frees up mental space to really enjoy it. I should probably show you guys around some time. It's such a playground!
    Thank you for stopping by 🤗

      Yeah, I remember this one being the first video you commented on. I'm really grateful, that you chose to stick around and that you're so open minded about all of the other types of content I'm making. Thank you for that, my friend!

      Richárd! That's great timing! I just shot another video today. I still need some time to mix, master and edit it though, so head to the channel if you want more music (or live performances) whilst waiting for this new one! :)
      Lovely to have you with us!

    What kind of sequencer is that!

    • @AndreasAmorsen
      @AndreasAmorsen  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Vincenzo! The Prophet RevII step sequencer works in either Polyphonic mode or Gated mode. I did not use the step sequencer within this video though. Everything I play on the synth is simply looped in Ableton :)

      @@AndreasAmorsen Thank you! I also wanted to ask what kind of electronic drum kit are you using too? I’m interested in getting one as I started music with percussion but my drum set is just way too loud to play in my neighborhood

    • @AndreasAmorsen
      @AndreasAmorsen  3 роки тому +1

      @@vincenzoaquila167 My drum kit is an old fella. It is an upgraded version of the old Yamaha DTXplorer. My module now is the DTXpress IV, which is also old and discontinued (I got it 10+ years ago, wow!). I never use the internal sounds of the module when recording these songs. I just MIDI trigger sounds in Ableton. Though, I do use the internal sounds of the module when I'm just practicing the drums.
      Do you want an electronic kit for songwriting purposes or do you want to use it as a practicing tool? :)

      @@AndreasAmorsen definitely would want it for practicing rolls and fills and just training my drumming. But honestly it would be cool to use it as a fully able midi instrument too. I know Zach hill from death grips uses an electronic drum kit to record some songs for the band. An Electronic drum kit has a lot more soul than a drum machine that’s forsure 😅

      @@vincenzoaquila167 Oh my, doesn't it!? :D
      I'd advice you to look for feel first, compatibility second and then sound third.
      Get a hihat on an actual stand, a snare with a realistic bounce and a solid kick setup.
      Aim for a module that can handle multi-trigger zones. Like, on a snare pad that would be the snare, the rim and the rim shot at minimum (I guess most modules can do that by now).
      VSTs like Superior Drummer are quite good, which is why internal module sounds are not as important as feel and compatibility :)
      Let me know if you find an awesome kit! And let me know if you make some Death Grips inspired music ;)

      Thank you, Ale il presidente! I'm glad someone finally noticed the slick dance moves!
