Almost 25 years of this song playing in the back of my mind, never remembering the game or the song name.. and now I find it, randomly by looking up the definition of "syndicate".. Amazing!
Jeeeeeez, wtf. lol. Yea this song sometimes does that to me in the back of my mind, but I knew where it came from. I played it as a kid at a friends house. Its very catchy.
Im just walkinh among the people, selecting target with this soubding in my earbuds. They have no idea lf the world beneath their perceived reality. Flesh bound to machine, mind wiped but all seeing, only one clear goal in it - finnish the mission syndicate, evaporate oh shit Im vaping too much if this bud. This is what I see and hear when I walk aming the humans. I feel nothing, I see everything, I am syndicated.
Total time machine. I can remember when I was 10 years old and dying to play this game at my friend's house. His older brother had this on his PC 486dx. Those were the days.
the new dubstep mixes of this song were good and all but for the type of game that the original story was this version just fit so well. it had a sense of deception and uneasiness that just went hand in hand with the rise and fall of the company.
It's a very common problem with remakes. Bigger louder broader fuller but missing the real point of the original. Modern technology has the advantage of way more tracks and higher fidelity than in 1993, but this should have been used in more subtle ways.
This game has such a cool soundtrack. It feels totally futuristic and dystopian, it feels like a society in distress. It also feels like it's on the edge of madness and violence.
One reason I love Skrillex. Has respect for the originals when doing a remix. Being an original Syndicate player from the old days, when I encountered the first boss in the 2012 version, boy was that a treat!!
2:08 *when the man in the raincoat suddenly whips out a strange pistol and you're suddenly mowing down crowds with a submachinegun because he told you to*
Computers when this came out were big hot and clunky and made mechanical sounds when you switched them on. They had big vents and smelled like electronics. You had to configure sound blaster on your PC and type in commands to run your game. This music sounded exactly how it should have sounded. You could really hear the sound coming out of your circuit boards
I'll never forget the last mission on this game. When the panic beat drops... Just set your agents to panic mode and equip them with a ton of mini guns and a few snipers. Then just sit back and watch the movie style carnage unfold. lol
Those were the days. I went for two shields and as many lasers as you can carry, desperately hoping the damage would be enough to stem the tidal wave of suicidal agents coming towards my team.
I love new first person game, both single and co-op gameplay, but this is still where it's at. They should make remake but keep it as close to original as possible.
Incredibly sinister track, I love it. Someone ought to make a proper redux of this song. Not asking for DnB or dubstep, just the original tune with better sound, and longer tracks for each medley.
@Germ20 Well, having purchased BF3 yesterday, and still not able to load it, I have zero confidence at this point. only the hope that it won't be a failure. wtf were they thinking with browser based anyways?
I feel like EA is raping my soul. This is the first "Grown Up" game i remember playing as a kid, gritty, violent, beautifully visceral. It's from an era that games companies today have forgotten, when gameplay and storytelling weren't sacirificed for flashy graphics and money. I hate what has become of the game industry.
The EA Syndicate is actually a good, underrated Cyberpunk FPS that flopped due to the roots, if only they would have changed the game's name to something else, I think it would have been received well.
@Thenewguytcs At one point I had a big issue loading Bad Company 2...It just kept hanging in the middle of the install...it wasnt my computer...or the disc :\
@EPICLULZ123 Skrillex just took this pre-existing theme and added fart noises to it. Not saying that this is complete piss, but I think the other contributions like the one from Nero and the one you mentioned seemed like they put more effort in actually making a different tune.
I like how for the new syndicate game they chose to remix a masterpiece and made it as good as this. I have to say I love both versions, one is slow which I like and the other is faster paced and I love that too. Overall best games and best game soundtracks I’ve ever listened too.
The music at 2.05 reminds me a bit of the music on the Hitmangames when you have done the mission and are escaping to the exit. ua-cam.com/video/QLaWVsvSs64/v-deo.htmlsi=cP_al4mxnvwE0TZx&t=125
This game was realy something, but i think Laser that was strange, simple it hand out to few kills. The newer version miss the felling's. "The Satellite Reign". Syndicate wars was working ok.
Seems I've managed to get it running, but it's disappointing that it took 2 days, and help from community members with zero developer feedback to find a solution. Oh well, Syndicate is worth giving them the benefit of the doubt.
they should have made a movie on the game. I know it sounds incredibly awful but hear me out. If you liked the last Dredd movie, the one that actually flopped but has quite the fan base. keep it low-ish budget, keep it violent, keep it gritty and spend special attention to the soundtrack, I think that could work. think 1977's "The Gauntlet" or in more recent years "16 Blocks".
Bullfrog made the epic in the early years... EA, if you shit on this, we'll shit on you, better make this "remake" worth our hardcore gamer's while. MS-DOS and non buggy, cool, atmospheric and ace music ftw!
For all the folks pining for memories long gone and the good old days, I'd like to point out the existence of Satellite Reign, by 5 Lives Studios. It's a remake, in all but name, and none of this modern crap. Top-down view, Four agents, a grimdark city, lots of chaos, carnage and money to enjoy. It even has several ex-Bullfrog staff working on it, not the least of which is Russel Shaw (composer of this specific music). Satellite Reign is the Syndicate remake we all hoped for :D.

The audio on that bit was always a bit off.

To think that the creator of this game is now giving us Google Gemini.

Things can only go from bad to worse from 2:05!

It's so modern!!!

Awesome, loved this game as a 13 year old, still stands up to the test of time

I love this fucking Sountrack ^-^
Eventhough EA doesn't love you, Bullfrog. I still do. Thank you for this wonderful game!
There's a dark, brooding feel this music I love :)
2:05 I didn't know that old Syndicate music was the same with the new Skrillex version. Heard it on GoodBadFlicks.
where you think he sampled it from?
He did a proper remix. It was probably the right track for the time.
One reason I love Skrillex. Has respect for the originals when doing a remix. Being an original Syndicate player from the old days, when I encountered the first boss in the 2012 version, boy was that a treat!!

@@TheDaxynn1 Not really a fan of Skrillex, but oh boy the theme song.. He completely nailed it. It's badass.
