My Love Affair with Marriage is an original animated feature confronting the myth that a woman has to have a husband in order to live a fulfilling life. The film approaches this loaded subject with grace, humor, and a healthy dose of sarcasm. The tale is a decidedly cheeky story of Zelma, a young, spirited woman coming of age, stifled by the patriarchal dogma. With the incredibly talented cast of Dagmara Dominczyk (“We Own This City”), Matthew Modine (“Stranger Things”), Cameron Monaghan (“Shameless”) and Stephen Lang (Avatar), Zelma’s journey will make you laugh and cry as she perseveres in her search for the meaning of love. Akin to “Persepolis” by Marjane Satrapi, “My Love Affair With Marriage” delves into a young woman’s inner world to explore who she truly is.
