Absolutely incredible. Beautiful work.
Tremendous. I’m building a 35 bottle free standing wine rack. It’s a lot of work but obviously doesn’t compare to this! So impressed by your progress and designs.
Thank you for these videos. Just completed my own and it turned out spectacular!
Fantastic! Want to make a wine cellar in our basement and have been looking all over for how-to videos. The jig is genius. Seems that the 'rustic' look makes things a bit easier, as filling nail holes, staining and sealing would add quite a bit of time. Really well made video too. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. The jig is essential for getting this project done. And yes, "rustic" is definitely the way to go on this.
Hopefully you're inspired to build one. We'd love to see it, to @oregonmakers on any photos.
Incredible
Amazing work.
Thank you Karen.
Thanks Karen, Another one in the works now.
Thank you for these useful Videos I really appreciate the help
Your welcome. Post pics on our instagram when you’re done.
Wow! Amazing work! How hammered are you planning to get?!? Pun intended.
very nice
Thanks!!
This is a great video! Would you consider selling the plans for the wall racking? Roughly what size openings do you aim for for the bottles? Or distance between verticals?
Did they not do any type of cooling in that cellar?
In the tour, I pointed out the space above the door is set up for a cooler if needed. This cellars back wall is underground and the climate is coastal, so rarely over 80 degrees. It should be fine without artificial cooling.
What tag tracking did they use?
Cellar Tracker. It's a great program/ service.
Great video; beautiful racks. Are the plans available on your site?
Really nice job. It turned out super. One question I had was the "display" bottles seem to be pitched the wrong way if they have a real cork. Any concern on your end?
There is still a bit of contact with the cork on wines meant to age. They typically use longer corks.
Otherwise, I would suggest rotating the display bottle every 6 months or so.
Great work, I’m about to do mine soon.
What type wood did you use, what thickness and where did you buy it?
Thanks for your help and great videos.
I used poplar. The mill I get it from S2S comes out to 27/32" so I cut everything to match that.
Thanks again for these incredible videos. I watched the "Wine Cellar Racking" video about 10 times while I was building my jig.
The lights add a lot to the racking. My wife wants me to include them.
What type of LED display lights do you use? I see that they are positioned toward the front of the rack.
I got the idea and supplies list from this video: ua-cam.com/video/-OEv7h5cDms/v-deo.html
Using the 45 degree chanel with the diffuser was key. I hate the single light on a strip reflections, the diffuser helps a lot.

Awesome work! How many hours do you think this took? I have a client that wants a wine rack but i have no clue what to charge
For this cellar, I spent an entire day and a half at the table saw and miter saw. 2 days building the "ladders." A day for the diamond bins, and a day for the magnum case/ desk. Install was 3 1/2 days, including doing the lighting in the racking.
Hopefully that's helpful and share pictures/ and tag us, we'd love to see what you make.
