I just tried a couple I had laying around the house and a smaller/thicker book fit (622 pages), a slightly larger/thinner book fit (309 pages), but a slightly larger/thicker book (355 pages) did NOT fit. It definitely takes up a bit of space, but it depends on the book 🤓

Thanks for the in-depth review! I love my Boston bag. I wear it crossbody with the handles down with both straps attached on the same side of bag closer to my body, much easier to get into the bag.
Did you notice that the new small Boston bag design has changed - now the leather strap can be attached to the sides! I wished I could’ve waited for the new design! So much easier!
Yes 😔 I kind of wished I waited as well, but I’ll be going into a boutique in the near future and want to try it on to see if it feels much different. I’ll feel better about it if it doesn’t feel much different when wearing it AND I was able to purchase it at a lower price…fingers crossed 🤞🏼😂
My stitching came undone the first day having it and I have had to fight Celine to repair it which they still have not done. 😔 I also dislike that the handles can’t lie down when wearing crossbody. Besides that I do love the bag. Very easy and casual for everyday.

Great video. I was going to ask you if you had a Speedy. I had no idea you don’t like Vuitton. Girl why? I love my Speedy 25. I considered the Boston but I like the way the Speedy better because of the depth and where the strap attaches. The Boston is like the Alma with the strap attaching to the handles which I’m not crazy about. As a top handle though the Boston is a cutie.

Is this bag good for travel? Is is heavy? If you had to choose just one the Celine nano luggage or this small boston for everyday and travel use which one would you get?
I love traveling with this bag, mainly because it fits everything I need it to and it’s not super heavy. As for the Boston vs the Luggage, very different bags, but I would go with the Boston because coated canvas is just SO easy. Have you checked both of these styles out for yourself in person?
I definitely prefer the DE over the monogram; however, I’d still go with the Celine Boston over the Speedy 20. They’re both great options…just personal preference.

I recently got it last week but I had to return it due to quality issues and one side of the handle had alot of squeaking noises. Hopefully the new one that will be coming in won't have these issues.
Great question...Celine added the d-rings on the sides of the bag at some point in 2023, whereas I purchased mine in 2022 when it didn't have those/the only way to attach the strap on mine is with the square hardware pieces on the handles. If you purchase a newer one, it should have the d-rings on the sides to attach the strap to the sides of the bag 😀✨
I love the look of this bag and would like it in leather. However, I own an LV Alma (Neo Alma PM) that is of medium size and the straps attach like this (to handles). I almost didn't buy it for this reason, but did, and am now regretting it. It forces it to swing too much, even if just worn like a shoulder bag. This one is much tinier, so probably not an issue. There's just something about attaching the straps diagonally that frustrates me. I have some LV but have also gone off of it (with a few exceptions), much prefer Celine overall as a brand now.
I hear you - I wish it had some other way for the straps to attach to the bag (additional D-rings on the side or something), but I’ve just gotten used to it over time.
It may be a little thinner than LV; however, it’s still pretty durable. I haven’t had any issues with the canvas…a little wrinkling on the leather, but the canvas has worn really well.
It’s super cute! And to think those of us who own the classic LVSpeedy have to listen to “those who know best” that it’s sacrilege to attach a strap to those handles in that way!🤣

Just got the Boston bag however it is so noisy on handles it’s ridiculous. Does it get better? I have the lv speedy 20 as well which has no noises with the handles.
It’s funny you say that because I recently purchased a Celine bag (different style) and had to return it because it made SO much noise where they attached the strap to the hardware. Sounds like something is off with their manufacturing and the leather is too tight around the hardware 🤦🏻♀️ Did you purchase it online or in a boutique?
I purchased it online. I hope this gets better. But it’s SO noisy. One can’t hide this. Even cheap bags don’t do this. Leather handles is possibly too tight around the metal rings. Such a disaster.
Ohh, that’s a tough one. Have you tried them both on? I’d see which one is more comfortable for you, personally. But, my initial thought is do you prefer to be able to slide your hand easily into a bag to grab your items OR do you prefer to have a flap? I’ll work with a flap bag, but sometimes I just want an easy top access bag…and the Boston is great for that. Another consideration is being able to wear something multiple ways (I love being able to throw this on crossbody or use as a top handle), whereas you’re somewhat limited with the Folco. Either style would be a great option…just comes down to personal preference. Good luck making your decision 🍀

I was considering the folco because e don't have a canvas carefree crossbody in my collection and its flap with the belt closure is so unique. I love it. But as you mentioned the fact that you can wear it different ways is a plus (even though I find the Boston kinda incomplete without d rings for the crossbody strap only) I will try them on again in store, hopefully I can make a decision😊
They just came out with a new version of the Boston that has d-rings on the sides of the bag. The “older” version/the one I have is such that you have to attach the strap to the hardware on the handles, but the newer version is along the base of the zipper on either side - definitely something to think about 🤓

LV now has Speedy 20 in Damier Ebene. I also already have the Celine small Boston. Would you buy the LV speedy 20 in DE?

Yes, there is! Inside of the interior pocket, there’s a small leather tag on one side that has the authorization code/serial number.
