What is the minimum period/duration of passport validity needed at the visa application? My parents got 9 months passport validity, does it need passport renewal first?

Passengers should still be able to submit a visa application and travel on a passport with 9 months remaining validity. However, given certain countries require a minimum of 6 months validity upon arrival, it is common practice for passport holders to renew their passports 6 months ahead of its expiry.

is it still possible to apply for pre settlement? even being after jun/2021

If you did not apply by 30 June 2021, you may still be able to apply to the scheme. You will need to have ‘reasonable grounds’ for why you did not apply by the deadline. Please check out www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-citizens-families/eligibility
