- 아마 이 4명의 숙녀를 모르는 분들은 없으실 텐데요. K팝을 대표하는 걸그룹, #블랙핑크 죠. 대중음악의 역사를 새로 쓰며 국위 선양을 하는 민간 외교사절이라고 해도 과언이 아닙니다.
이 블랙핑크의 이름이 난데없이 대한민국 외교안보의 뜨거운 쟁점으로 오르락내리락하고 있습니다.
발단은 다음달 말 열리는 #한미정상회담 입니다.
윤석열 대통령은 12년만에 국빈 자격으로 미국을 방문하는데요, 방미 일정의 하이라이트는 바이든 미 대통령 부부가 주최하는 국빈만찬입니다. 한미 유명인사 300여명이 참석할 예정인데, 특히 올해 한미동맹 70주년을 맞아 이번 국빈만찬은 매우 뜻깊은 행사가 될 전망입니다.
그런데 지난 1월 영부인인 질 바이든 여사는 이런 제안을 합니다. 한국을 대표하는 걸그룹, 블랙핑크와 미국을 대표하는 여가수, 레이디가가가 함께 공연을 펼치면 어떨까라는 거였죠.
블랙핑크와 레이디가가는 이미 친분이 있는 사이인데, 지난 2020년 레이다 가가의 노래에 블랙핑크가 참여해 두 아티스트간 협업이 이뤄졌습니다. 글로벌 인기스타인 이들이 한미 정상회담을 계기로 한 무대에 선다면 한미동맹의 굳건함을 널리 알리는 것은 물론, 전세계의 이목을 집중시키는 엄청난 외교적 효과를 거둘 수 있게 되겠죠. 그런데 일은 이상하게 굴러가기 시작합니다.
국가안보실이 윤 대통령에게 이달 초까지 관련 보고를 최소 6차례 누락한 사실이 드러나면서 입니다. 안보실은 미국측에 확답도 미룬 것으로 알려졌는데, 뒤늦게 외교부 라인을 통해 소식을 듣게 된 윤 대통령은 격노한 것으로 전해졌습니다. 양국의 신뢰관계를 심각하게 저해할 수 있는 사안이기 때문이죠.
결국 #김성한 국가안보실장은 자진사퇴 형식으로 어제 물러났는데요, 사실상 경질됐다는 평가입니다. 이번 국빈방문의 하이라이트로 기대되던 블랙핑크 공연 문제를, 허술하게 처리한 데 대해 무거운 책임을 진 셈이죠. 국가 외교안보 정책을 총괄하는 수장이, 인기가수의 공연 문제로 물러난 이번 사태를 어떻게 봐야할까요.

예전 태국 정치권에서도 비슷한 일이 있었는데 블랙핑크 소속사인 YG 와 미리 협의했어야지... 블랙핑크는 현재 월드투어랑 4월에는 미국 코첼라 헤드로 서기때문에 한나라 정치권에서 협의 없이 좌지우지 할 수 있는 그룹이 아니다. 프랑스 영부인이 초대해 갔을때도 한참 전부터 협의해 간거고.

I've always notice how Blackpink along with BTS have made kpop globally famous but Korea always praised BTS but neglect Blackpink achievement as a women in men dominated industry.
I'm assuming it's because YG denied help and assistance from Korea government and choosed to be independent company without any involvement of government. Some kpop companies have good relationship with Korean govt and works with the govt but for YG they wanted freedom from government.
Tbh, Entertainment company shouldn't be involved with goverment.
The message is very clear why he didn't convey the invitation to YG. He wanted a different group from company that works with government to represent Korea.
That may be one of the reasons why they are attacking YG and their artists.
