- This video tells of the experience of Daryl; who after years of being medicated feels that he has suffered from irreversible damage. It tells of a traumatic past being put into a children's institution and put on drugs from the age of nine. Now wishing he could at last lead a normal life he is having to deal with the loss of his sexuality as a side-effect of the medication he was put on from such an early age. Doctors know that drugs such as the SSRI's and anti-psychotics and mood stabilisers can lead to an interference with desire and ability to have a sex life but prescribe them anyway. It is also known that some people in some countries think that it would be a good idea to forcibly sterilise certain groups in society but even if it is not happening intentionally then it might seem that the outcome is not so different.
Psychiatry has no shame or conscience
sorry to hear about your story Daryl its an all to common one these days your not alone... The drugging of children using psychiatric drugs should be a serous crime its bad enough that adults are being forced into taking these drugs... sadly more and more children are being blamed for there behavior even thou many children are having to grow up in very dysfunctional environments parents are very rarely held responsible yet children are making them easy targets for Psychiatry... We need politicians who will listen to what we are saying and do something constructive about it.

Congratulations on getting off your meds you brave boy/man. Watching this youtube video as I am in the process of coming off of my meds. Thankyou for you insightful words and know that you dignity is fully in tact :)
