We love Brother Griffiths. He was our Foundations of the Restoration teacher at BYU and taught my wife and I more about the history of the church than we ever knew!
First time listening to Brother Griffiths. Got me excited about reading D&C. Great presentation! Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to all.
Thank you! I appreciate this in-depth explanation given here. I feel more empowered with the tools given to deepen my study in the Doctrine and Covenants this year. Thank you to everyone on this wonderful channel for helping us love our Savior and know Him because we study His word.
To prepare for April 2020 conference I read the first "Saints" book. They did such a great job putting it together- I was blown away at how exiting it was to read. I feel much better prepared now to study the Doctrine & Covenants this year. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
The most wonderful thing for me about the Doctrine and Covenants is the voice of Christ. It permeates throughout the book. I am looking forward to our reading it this coming year.
Ok full disclosure... D&C has always been my least favourite. But after listening to this, I think this is about to change. Thank you this was such a perfect explanation - nothing I hadn’t heard before but somehow, something clicked!! Thank you!!!
CC Mars, read the first volume of the Book "Saints." They did such a great job putting it together. It's narrated in the gospel library app- I listened to it with earphones going on walks every evening and it was easy to knock out. It's so great
I feel exactly the same way. I read the BOM everyday but never really seriously read this book from page to page though I read bits and pieces here and there. I did read the two books of Saints and should excite me to dive and get deeper learning the Doctrine and Covenants.
That is a typical response. Just studying the Doctrine and Covenants is rewarding and converting but adding the church history to it greatly enhances it. With the other scriptures we get storyline and context. The Doctrine and Covenants largely excludes this (except for the section summaries). I agree with the comments regarding the book Saints - it gives the storyline, but then one must add the Doctrine and Covenants to the book of Saints.
Well expounded! The D&C confirms the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint as a living church of a living God who continues to speak in these days as He did in ancient days
Didn’t think I could get more excited to study the Doctrine & Covenants this new year but Brother Griffiths did it for me. Thanks!

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Super helpful
I feel pretty confident (okay--I prophesy...) that Pres. Nelson will add some sections to the D&C this year. I can totally see him doing that!
The authority comes from the general authorities unified.
