what’s the purpose of taking off your armor right at the beginning on that first guy?

So that the other person doesn't know what armour you have. For example, if you have full diamond before pvp and you are in a cave with someone, they won't know to run away if you don't put your armour on, they might think you are full iron, or 1/4, etc.
