Molly was one of the purest character that I've ever encountered......
that genuine feeling in the 2nd i love u was enough...he said it like he discovered it for the first time... he can say it ones and waited for her response..for me the feeling in the first one was enough for molly, u see the a little smile from her.its enough for her but still he said it again..
And Sherlock also shows a hint of a smile when she says it to him

The first "I love you" might be a bit forced. But the second time when he said it after hearing himself out loud the first time and looking at her deeply gave him the confidence and admission to his feelings resulting words hitting right in the feels. He didn't need to say it the second time, but he did because that is when he shedded off his shell and accepted his feelings. He meant every word of it. He is a sociopath. He isn't suppose to fall in love or indulge in emotions. These are human errors as he names them. Considering everything he is a human at the end. Falling in love is beyond one's control. Sherlock hides his emotions too well. Eurus could see through the love. She just made him say out loud in order to make Sherlock surrender to emotions which he hated all his life.

Sherlock is not a sociopath, he said that just to protect himself from people. Eurus is a psycho and understands nothing about love, so how could she see through love? And how did she get Sherlock to admit feelings and "talk out loud" if the idea was to make Molly admit her love for Sherlock, not the other way around ?? and Sherlock in love with Molly? When and where?

As a die hard Sherlolly shipper, when the trailer for this season first came out with that “I love you” clip and all the Johnlock shippers were convinced this was Sherlock’s confession to John, I thought that it was gonna be Sherlock figuring out the answer to a riddle/clue, because I felt he said it with an air of sudden realization. This was my completely unbiased opinion at that time before we knew what the context of his saying “I love you” was. And now when this scene was revealed - I can say for sure that the second “I love you” was genuine because he DID say it with the air of sudden realization that I picked up on watching it for the first time in the trailer - he realized he genuinely loved Molly! He said it the first time because she told him to, then why did he need to say it for a second time? Because he realized it was true. And that’s why he was so upset and smashed the coffin, because Eurus had forced him to admit he had emotions and sentiment, something that he always felt was a weakness. And that’s why Eurus said “look what you did to yourself”. Eurus is shown to be even more brilliant than her brothers and can read people better than they do. She knew what Sherlock was feeling even before he could admit it to himself.
Wow, I've just finished a fanfic (in German, however) about the to of them and that comes really close to my interpretations. It focusses hard on Sherlock afterwards, trying to understand why he repeated it until he came to realize that he repeated it because it felt right. Because it's true. He loves her.

The challenge involving Molly is too cruel. The way Molly gripped her phone, her eyes, her voice.. Everything about Molly on that episode broke my heart. Sherlock truly lost it at the end when he wrecked that shit but the thing is I wonder how lost he'd feel if he sees Molly eye to eye again.
God, this scene... the beauty of this scene... just the moment he realizes what hes done to Molly... his anger, his rage.... the way he absolutely destroys the coffin... it shows how much he truly cares, how much he truly loves her. Hes so angry that he hurt her so much, and in a way that matters.
It's superb just beautiful! Made me cry!
The first I love you seemed a bit forced, the second one though.. I played it over and over.. its like Sherlock has just realized how he really cares about Molly after he said it out loud.. thus, the second I love you..
And then when Eurus said the amount of emotions she saw and how Molly is never really threatened, then Sherlock moved to the coffin, placed the lid so slowly gently, before wrecking everything with rage.. I dont care how other shippers see this scene. For me it is clear that my ship is cannon :') Sherlolly is my life!

I just watched this series recently, and this scene “i love you”, I can’t get it out of my head. You can see the genuine feelings of Sherlock Holmes to Molly Hooper through that word “I love You”. It was really burst me into tears. Great video editing. Amazing.

That's right! When John wasn't giving him attention, he just simply employed a strategy to get him to pay attention. When John's life was in danger, he definitely didn't beg. He just outsmarted Moriarty twice. Yes this is the first time he begged like that.

This was brilliant. The best part has to be the dialogues chosen. And each one of them fitted the premise of the scene absolutely. The intensity and the layers of emotions the scene depicted is a lot. And the video takes it up beautifully. Great job with the editing.

I was reading a FanFiction and it pointed out something I hadn’t noticed. The plaque on “Molly’s” coffin. Mycroft read it as “someone who loves Sherlock” but they pointed out that the deceased don’t decide what’s on the plaque or epitaph.
Those they leave behind so. It’s not someone who loves Sherlock it’s someone Sherlock loves.

To be honest I think Sherlock really doesn’t love Molly for a sec, just think of her as an important friend, he only said that cause they were running out of time. Proof is after that he smashed the casket as a way to say that he couldn’t reply her love and he knew it would break her heart even if that was to save her from Eurus

When I saw this episode, especially this part, my heart could not contain the melancholy. I am sure the second time he confessed 'I love you, the first one was just a blurt out. And my heart was ripped to pieces when he smashes the coffin in rage. The first moment ever of the naked truth that he, too, is a human after all.

If he truly is not becoming deeply attached to her what is the point of his conversations with her in his own Mind Palace in TAB? Why is he ALWAYS humble and respectful of her in his MP? And why is she pretty and even seen dressed as a bride? Why have conversations with MP and real John about relationships?
Sherlock's actions are in line with the evolution of his emotions. He did not treat Molly with respect, but after he'd asked for Molly's help to fake his death, he came to respect her as she deserved to be. So since then he treats her with humility and respect. Nothing fairer, since Molly was always there for him, but did the sense of respect evolve into love? I think not. His mental palace, Sherlock's subconscious, his most intimate part, tells no different story. In fact, almost no story at all. Here Molly appears twice when Sherlock is shot, and also appears in 'The Abominable Bride'. Unlike the real Molly, Sherlock portrays her here in her MP as a person not at all loving but always cold and relentless. She looks more like Sally Donovam than the impassioned Molly Hooper. Because? And you see, he barely talks to her in his palace of mind, so I'm not sure what 'point' you're referring to when you mention Molly in this episode of TAB which, in my view is where Sherlock most has a distant image of Molly from the whole story of the show. I do not remember the scene you're referring to Molly being seen dressed as a bride. Was it in the scene in TAB that Molly appears, jumping the window dressed as a bride? But Janine is also seen dressed as a bride and I believe that this has no meaning. Why would Molly have anything different? But what to me has a lot of meaning is that in this scene, Sherlock says, "The women to whom I ... (Sherlock referred to himself, and then changed to 'we') lie, betray. we ignored, despise. " The first two words, lie and betrayal, appears Janine. And the other words to the figure of Molly ... No, nothing remotely romantic, but 'ignore and despise.' Is not it true that Sherlock treated them like that? And yes, Sherlock talked about feelings and relationships with John, but why not talk about? But it's good to remember that Sherlock here in TAB only shares his attention when it comes to John and Irene. Irene, when, just in the talk about 'relationships', it is revealed that he holds a picture of her in a watch. And about John ... well frankly, if we talk about every scene and phrase in TAB in which Sherlock addresses his blogger doctor, the commentary will be immense. So, Me Val, from the data you gave me yourself, (and that's just in TAB) I think I can understand why I was so adamant in saying that 'I love you' for Molly is a scam. Sherlock has spent four long seasons and one more special episode barely talking to Molly (including his MP) and suddenly, in just one scene of blackmail, do you want me to believe he 'discovered' that he loved her? Geez, it's pushing the imagination too hard.
