it's a beautiful ending for a sad and "real" story. 10/10
The scenes with Eren and Armin talking as they get older are flashbacks that Eren told them they would remember once he dies so these are memorie that he erased.
That "oh no" at the end when they show the tree entrance was my same reaction.
But, oh yes, i believe is the same "tree of life" that reborn again on the tree that Eren head was buried.
I think Eren became life itself after being attached to that "life" thing, i mean Zeke was death and that form of life was separated from Eren and Eren was able not only to transform but transform into a colossal attack titan so definetly something changed in Eren, my guess is paths still exist, Ymir disappeared so the titans are gone but paths remains, Ymir created paths because she didn't wanted to die and was afraid and also to connect with others, so Ymir created paths and then continued making Titans, the titans of her daughters and so on, she remained a slave for countless years while in reality only happened 2000 years.
So once she is free, she stop making titans she doesn't need to build them anymore so the titans dissapear but paths remains.
Is just a theory because Eren was able to turn into a colossal attack titan even when that form of life was separated from him, so maybe that form of life made symbiosis with Eren and remained in him or maybe just a part, thats why at the end from the tree Eren head was buried, the same tree of life reborn, i like to think it reborn after 2000 years after the rumbling, it makes sense because the buildings and city at the end really seems futuristic.
Another thing im not seeing many people talking about is Eren and Mikasa spent 4 years together in paths, in paths time is different, Eren and Mikasa really lived the 4 years remaining of Eren in paths, this is why people don't understand why Eren broke and cried saying he doesn't want Mikasa to move on and love him only him, while he is dying and he knows he is dying in the same seconds he is living 4 years in paths with Mikasa and he is saying goodbye to Armin and his other friends even the warriors.
This is why Mikasa says see you later in the reality of paths, Eren died in peace in the cabin they build together and spent 4 years together but as Eren is dying Mikasa knows that reality will end because at that same moment she is killing him, thats why Mikasa was about to kiss Eren in paths and then we came back to reality and she kiss the head of Eren.
There is another theory that i think proves paths still exist, they released the new op and ending of this final episode in UA-cam, they didn't included it on episode so if you watch this last ending in UA-cam you will see an animation about Mikasa and it kind of implies that after dying Mikasa was able to reunite with Eren because it ends with Mikasa laying down on the grass and then she looks at her side and the last thing we see is a hand holding hers meaning they finally reunited again and well in the animation it shows an image of the paths tree too.
By the way loved the reaction, attack on titan it really is an amazing anime and is has been a hell of a ride and now is time to continuing moving forward.
Edit: the last ending of attack on titan is called "see you later" so again i will keep believing paths exist and Eren and Mikasa and everyone reunited.

@@FlexiejayAnime I know that feeling , since i readed the manga years ago when it ended i still haven't been able to process it lol!
Is just that at the ending it really become a bittersweet love tragedy because of war, for me Attack on titan is a story that show the consequences of war, war has been some of the ugliest side of humanity and this story shows how useless war is, by not being able to understand each other, by being drived by greed we make wars for any reason many times there is no reason just because we can.
And also is a story about the children that grow up in wars that dont belong to them but nonetheless they have to fight it, war and human greed steal this children future, i dont think im lying when i say most main characters in this story are just broken children even if they are adults already like Erwin, his flashbacks before dying were of his childhood, about him being a kid asking his father a question, and of course his father got killed wich make him even furious of not knowing why? Why his father had to die? And if his father was saying the truth, could humans still exist? I think by the end Erwin knew his father was saying the truth but Erwin just couldn't prove it, the evidence was in the basement, he knew humans existed since he knew the female titan was Annie, and then Ymir was a titan too, then Berthold and Reiner were the ones responsible of destroying the walls. They had to come from somewhere and in that somewhere there has to be other humans besides them, so those humans on the other side are enemies, humanity still exist beyond the walls and he would die without providing it because he wouldn't be able to reach the basement.
Humans still exist and just for that his father got killed.
So because of this war between Marley and the world against Paradis, Eren and most characters became soldiers since kids and they couldn't think of something as "love" because they can die at any moment, remember episode 5 of the first season, Mina Carolina, Tomas and many other characters that were just 15 years old "soldiers" and all of them killed in seconds, how Eren can think of feeling to Mikasa when all of this is happening, he even "died" that day as well. If it werent because his father was who he was, Eren would have died there without ever confessing to Mikasa or able to do anything, all his future and what he could have become gone because of war.
So after dying once and all of his comrades deaths, Eren just couldn't be thinking of doing silly things with a girl, whats the point of kissing and hugging when there is monsters outside that want you dead, a person should focus on survival, their own survival not wasting time thinking everything will be ok and there will be someone to save them at the end.
People choose to ignore their world issues all the time, because it makes life simplier, why think of the monsters outside the walls when you can be enjoying your life.
Eren couldn't simple enjoy his life, his eyes always have been opened, life is cruel, you need to fight, you need to be able to kill to survive on that world, he knew that since he was a 6 year old that killed to save someone, it really is disgusting how a person can steal everything from you without a single care and as a child Eren killed those monsters by becoming a monster himself the moment he killed, because thats what it takes to keep surviving. Armin said it many times mostly the first seasons, to fight monsters you have to be one, you have to be able to throw everything away to kill your enemy because your enemy CAN do it.
I think im writing a lot of text so apologies, all this text just to say that Eren showed his affection to Mikasa a considerable amount of times for a character like him, the scarf scene shows that in his own way he is corresponding her feelings, he may be a teenager but he isn't stupid, saying he will wrap her scarf forever as many times she want shows his commitment, this weren't just meaningless words, he always have speak what he FEELS.
Then another important scene only between them were when he asks what he is for her, at this moment he already knows it because of the founder, he already saw glimpses of not only that moment but everything that will come next, so he knows that she IS in love with him, as i said before he isn't stupid, he has been knowing it since they were teenagers.
some people may think Eren and Mikasa love feelings were rushed because Eren didn't showed many but now that we know the ending everything makes sense.
This are children that have been at war since most part of their life, they been soldiers that they're deployed all the time because any time a titan can destroy the walls again.
They lose their parents, they growed up to kill or be killed, there was no time for love but for me Eren showed enough love signs to Mikasa, not only they been together all the time since they were kids, again that moment in episode 12 of season 2, Eren said to her something like " i will wrap that scarf to you as many times you want, now and forever"
This is a very odd thing for Eren to say because he is been focusing on killing titans and avenging her mother all this time but still, in this very brief moment Eren remembered that Mikasa is still alive ands he needs to protect because he can he is ALIVE, he was crying and defeated after Hannes death, he already gave up at the situation, but Mikasa talking to him made him realize he shouldn't be giving up, his mom died, Hannes died, everyone around them are dying but he is alive and he CAN fight because only by fighting you can be alive in that world and as long as he is alive he will fight and it was Mikasa the one that encourage him...
Eren has been drived by vengeance yes, he did what he did because it is what he wanted to do, but ultimately same as Reiner and the warriors, Eren just wanted to stop all this madness, when war is as inevitable as here is, there is lots of ways to react and there is no right answers, the royal family just accepted their own genocide instead of defending defending themselves, Zeke thought of probably the best plan that would bring the less deaths, by not having children and having the rumbling as a shield people in Paradis would be able to grow up and die in peace but by making unable to bring new life into this world even if this wasn't what they wanted someone steal that from them.
Then we have Eren, trying to break the cycle of hatred by burying the hatred by burying humanity, his plan never was world peace, he could probably could be able to do it honestly, he could have killed the entire world, he could have been able to stop the warriors and Armin from transforming, he could have made his friends to be unable to move their own bodies, maybe just Mikasa and Levi could move because they are Ackerman's but by doing this, Eren friends would've stayed in Paradis and also Eren could have been able to change the way the eldian bodies and brain works, we saw this in Zeke memories when he talks to Ksaver, an eldian king once modified the body of eldians to make them unable to feel sick of a plague or something.
So Eren could be able to kill the entire world and then create an utopia inside the island and some day around the world, by modifying how eldians think and feel, he could be able to change them BUT by doing this, he is removing their freedom and Eren is against that.
Eren gave freedom to the world, the freedom to reunite in Marley to declare world war against them, Eren give the freedom for the people of Paradis to fight for what they believed, this caused the jaegerist against the alliance, Eren also gave the freedom for his friends to go and kill him to stop him because he also was free to keep advancing the rumbling, is twisted but he is protecting them otherwise they wouldn't been able to had the long lives they all lived.
And at the end Armin and the rest of them choose to be what humans should be supposed to be, to try and to understand each other instead of being monsters, at least for a couple of hundred of years Paradis got to live long and in peace by how the flashbacks showed us, by that time my guess is every country had nuclear bombs and the world didn't nuked Paradis but Paradis also nuked them or maybe they all nuked them who knows, one thing for sure, humans should not have this kind of destructive power but we do, we have enough nukes to destroy the world many times, why do we as humanity needs to have more than 5000+ nuclear bombs? Who knows but it is insane. All it takes is for one crazy person to push one single button and thats it.
Attack on titan is a manga and anime that i think it really deserves to be praised this much as one of the best stories out there, among the best with other books, tv shows, movies, comics and every other literary media.
A tragedy, tragedy of war and tragedy of love, is just a very human story.
so sad that its over. But it ended perfectly. I cant rewatch this without crying

i became a crybaby after watching the finale. armin crying over eren hit me in the feels. erwin, the survery corps, and sasha showing up got me weeping, eren and armin's final words got me so hooked in, and the realisation that no matter how much pain eren causes or how much of humanity they save, history will always repeat itself, war will eventually come, life will eventually transform & evolve, so we just gotta accept the rules and let mother nature play its part. the finale taught me many things, it was a masterpiece. it's finally over.
I was also very emotional, the show hasn't left my thoughts yet.
Not when the manga ended, and not now either.
It was a great ending to an unbelievable show, I couldn't have wanted more.
AOT will forever be a part of me, I am so glad I got to experience it.
If you feel like you need some more AOT, I suggest watching the lost girls part 3 OVA, the one about mikasa.
There's some things that you might see differently now that you've watched the finale.

The question is when did Eren tell Mikasa where he is (in the mouth).
Maybe I think both live in the “Rode”(scene is wooden house), then he did.
And he had wanted to be killed by Mikasa so he recovered Mikasa’s memory only them.
Why he is not in the neck but the mouth is he already knows what would happen next (peak crashed his neck). All of them are my thoughts.

The reason the others didnt get on Falco before they all turned into titans, is because everyone already inhaled the gas so only the ppl that are immune to it should escape. If Gabi, Jean and Conny would have joined them, they would have turned and probably kill everyone close to them in the transformation.
Somewhere sad moments, anyone can cry who's have feelings much. But we have final episode for ten years watch.

Thank you for your hard work on AOT's long journey. You are a very mature and wise woman and your reaction video was amazing.
However, Eren achieved his goal and his beloved friends lived out their lives.
Although it is not certain, it seems that peace was maintained to a certain extent from several hundred years to 20,000 years later.
Also, this is just my personal opinion, but in the ending, the Taiki fast-forwards through seven seasons, and after seven years, Mikasa, Jean, and people who appear to be their baby come to visit the grave and report.
The reason I think so is that Eren died wishing for the happiness of Mikasa and his friends, so what is happiness for Jean?
Of course, his goal is to marry Mikasa, who he fell in love with at first sight, and start a happy family (which he also dreamed of in the episode).
Mikasa's love for Eren remains unchanged, as evidenced by the fact that she wears a scarf even in her later years, but she also wears a wedding ring on her finger.
I believe that, as Eren said, after 10 years, Mikasa bonded with Jean in order to fulfill Eren's wish for Mikasa to live a long and happy life.
Oh, and let me tell you three important things. Reiner's mother has very good eyesight, Reiner knows professional wrestling techniques and is a master class, and at the end, Falco hugs Gabi, but Falco uses Reiner's suplex technique and throws Gabi away. It will be done.

@@FlexiejayAnime no problem hope you loved the ending as much as I did :) I read since 2010 almost near when it started .. you were correct about the tree btw Erens head became the seed for the hallucigenia spine Titan entity all over again further emphasizing the war theme .. it’s a cycle (Eren did give his friends mostly a peaceful life but he can’t stop humanity from being stupid) gotta enjoy the “precious” things in the meanwhile of course :)
In case you were wondering what mikasa did it’s that she killed Eren even though she loved him so much (she did what Ymir could not do to fritz .. that’s why they showed that scene of Ymir holding her children with the spear in him instead of her.. it’s what she should have done and it was her last thought before passing on finally)
Eren only knew that the final outcome would be a world without titans and that mikasa would bring it about , he knew this half when he kissed historias hand and then more so when he essentially became a god by gaining the power of the founder.. its a little muddy and even isayama doesn’t understand it all himself but I like to think Eren was more or less the writer of his own story .. he was able to go back and influence certain moments in time to get to the end goal (like when he killed mikasas parents killer at the beginning (you can see the dead look of future Eren in his eyes ) but I don’t think Eren had any control over when he did these things .. it was all set in stone .. slave to freedom and all

@@jaynadiah5498 Jean has had a long crush on Mikasa since Episode 3. It's been shown repeatedly that he likes her. We even see Mikasa as his partner and mother of their child in his vision of his ideal life.
It's implied that Mikasa and Jean are together at the end. Isayama drew the guy to look just like Jean from behind.
Did you even watch the previous seasons? You seem so confused to me. It is like you don't remember the story or something. That's how I felt watching this reaction.
