I own a Piper Saratoga and I'm based at Bridgeport. I happen to think our controllers are the best. It can get super busy because Long Island flight school students train at Bridgeport. Between the water (and the lack of ground references), and the intersecting runways at 24 and 29, it is easy to go off your downwind heading. I always set the bug for the downwind heading at Bridgeport just in case. Great video.
@@JoeRantCT Thanks for the comment. I was just thinking today, next time set that heading bug on 24 and turn the autopilot on 😎, next time. I stopped in to drop off donuts 🍩 to the tower this past Sunday. We talked for 30 minutes, super cool gentleman!
@@nicksantos7586 nice, I really appreciate the feedback. Have a Merry Christmas 🎄. You should ask for a tower tour. The ATC at KBDR are the best! I stopped in on Sunday to bring some donuts 🍩 to them and said hi to 3 wing. How many hours do you have?
This is Chat GPT's response: If you feel there’s a need for a higher altitude for safety (e.g., obstacles, turbulence, or visibility concerns), you can communicate this to ATC and request a climb, but it's their discretion to approve. Always verify local procedures and adhere to ATC instructions.

@@berniebrown9115 Thanks sir! Should I mail some snow ❄️ to Mad Props Aero?
@ wouldn’t mind a little here for Christmas but then it would get in the way of my golf
@ hey, have you gotten a chance to see my CT golf ⛳️ course flyover series. I believe there are 3 official videos dedicated to them.
@ no but I will check it out
Will the tower approve a higher altitude when extending downwind over water - would help the gliding distance.
