I live here. A couple corrections and commentary: Yes, you can water ski / tube on Loch Lomand, but you can also ski on Windsor and Lake Ann as they are also wake lakes, though not as big as Lomand. Windsor is big enough to go on longer ski runs. Only Lake Brittany is stocked with Trout. Commentary: There are a lot of houses being bought here and flipped into STRs (short term rentals). This is a big point of contention for residents. The city has introduced some new permitting and regulation guidelines and are seeking to cap the number of STRs in the city limits to 600. Whether you are for it or not, you should know that Bella Vista is turning into a bit of tourist town at the moment (some say it's always been that way, but BV has a complicated history). If you seek to move here as a resident, know that you neighbor (or many of your neighbors) could be AirBnbs with random strangers coming in and out of your street at all times of the day and night, especially if you live on or near a lake or near one of the trail systems. Also, there is no HOA, but there is an ACC, meaning there are strict HOA-style rules about what you can and cannot do to and have on your property, including white fences, restrictions on house paint colors, parking RVs and boats on unimproved lots or on your improved property that is not tucked out of view behind a fence.
We are older parents with 10 and 8 year old; we are trying to combine retirement lol with raising kids (our fault); we are just trying to understand if this is a location that kids will appreciate at all-growing up here-or are we better off in bentonville closer to the schools etc. please any opinion on that would be appreciated!! We need to know fast as we are closing on our house and are determining which location is best to raise kids!
Really informative video as we are considering relocating to the area/state for retirement. Two addition subjects of interest would be tax rates and utilities. Thanks
5 is a lot. BV has like 5 courses, they're not PGA but very nice. Super reasonable though, it's like $2200 a year for a gol membership with a cart! Unlimited, where else can you get that?
