Beautiful snake. Just leave it alone and no problem at all.
Stay safe!!! Hike on!!!
These videos of your trail adventures are epic. Pure entertainment
Dang, if you had asked the ranger at Lake Tiorati about the re-route it was posted same day and even before the re-route there are many ways to get around it with minimal additional miles. The reroute they posted however was insane. But better routes were available, for example, the Nurian Trail which is 1.5 from the closure on Orange Tpk. Or when he first drove you guys into the park on RT106 he also could have let you off right away and you'd only have had a 1.2mi dirt road walk to the north side of the bridge at lake stahahe. The road closure on the other side "Local traffic only" at 2:17 wouldnt have stopped you because they let people drive to the parking lot which is directly on the north side of the bridge from the opposite direction, but the Uber driver wouldnt have known. There's a free map of the park out there just google. Good part is when you finish up your initial gap from the surgery you can return to do this and visit NYC again....and it's nice section of the park worth seeing and important because this section is the first blazed section of the AT in 1923. You could combine it with another few trails to get over to bear mountain
So many greats!!! Love your tramily! You are an awesome team. And the snake bit had me howling. Sunshine is awesome. Thank you Kelly. Love your journey. ❤️❤️❤️
Huge Rattler! Yikes!😱
Congrats on 1400, safe travels!!
Wow! That was a big snake. Thanks for sharing. Stay well and be safe.
Your videos are so entertaining I'm going to watch all of them
again in the middle of the winter cuz it'll make me look forward
to summer. You should have gone to meteorological school and
become a local TV weather person. You have a big enough
personality and you certainly have the looks that you would
excel in a job like that.
Stephanie looks great, and appears to be happy. I'll take 'Sunshine ' when I can get it. Just like that smile of yours. Thanks for sharing ✌
Gotta luv a bit of trail magic🤩
The section you missed was just down Arden Valley Road (which you took uphill from the Tiorati traffic circle), which leads back to that bridge at Elk Pen. Very nice section, Island Pond, Lemon Squeezer…
Guaranteed bear encounter Between Fingerboard shelter to Lake Tiorati overnight
OMG that rattle snake!!!!
Loved the dogs wrestling! 😊 RU sure that was a stealth site? That fire ring looked pretty permanent.
We built the fire ring lol
Good video, with some good views, good job on the miles ,some wild turkeys, that was a big black rattlesnake, so let's keep on hiking ⛰ 🚶♀️ 😀
My hero ❤
Morning Kelly! Welcome to mile 1400! Sure was an adventure getting back to the north side of the bridge. At least you got some beach time in while you figured it out. What did you end up doing? Skipping the miles or figuring out how to get to the bridge? I would have doubled back and done the section twice but that’s my hiking life right now. Tell Popeye that some day hikers are living their best life too and to be more kind! You never know when a day hiker or section hiker could save your life! Im guessing you are damn close to Katahdin since this was 50 or so days ago. I am so excited to see the videos from my states❤️ I hope you loved it up here! 🙏 Thanks for bringing us along today. I hope tomorrow’s miles are kind. Keep truckin’ and be well. #giveashit

❤️💙🌹💀🌹💙❤️
The rattlesnake was a bet much. I would have been leaving there. Happy hiking 🏔⛺️🥾
That was a Monster Rattlesnake!!!!
You probably hiked 7 miles going back and forth from the buffet at the hotel lol so now you’re even in mileage
Thats What i was thinking, haha...Plus, they've Cleeeearly made up those miles on other detours....My question is, How deep was the River and too bad you couldn't find a fisherman to take you across? Dixie would've ;) yukyukyuk....Im just joshin.
Awesome 😎 Ken NC
@9:10....i've said this before...you Never wanna mess when they are around. The longest i've harvested was 78" in Gulf Hammock, Fla...I get chills thinkn about him 'tagging' my GOKEY snake boots. When i was a 16, we were quail hunting in the Palmetto bushes and one 'tagged' one of our dogs, on a Sunday afternoon, 2 hrs. from Town : / Nothing we could do...when my Papa said, "Sport, i need you to go back to the Jeep....but why Papa"....sadly, he had to put our dog down....I never thought i'd see my grandfather cry like that since he'd raised 'Floyd' our dog as a pup : /.......Be careful!! ***MEGA Kudo's for getting him Off the Trail....that's a $125,000 visit to the ER.
Girl, you had me convinced that you wouldn’t make Katahdin in time, until I joined Instagram just to find out where you really are. Looks like you crossed into New Hampshire on Sep 6. Sounds like you’re getting close.
THE ONLY Way Kelly won't get to KATAHDIN is if Michael Jordan offered her a Job in Charlotte to start Immediately =)
Please what happens on Instagram stays on instagram. Let Kelly tell her own story here. No spoilers.
I hate rattlesnakes so much!!! Sucks that you couldn't do 7 ish miles of the AT.
That snake is HUGE!!
Beautiful creature. Every animal has its purpose. 🙌 Be one with nature in all forms on trail.
Are you still on track to finish before October 15th?
THATS A FREAKING HUGE SNAKE 🐍
That is one huge rattle snake! Gosh!!!
Hey now! Don't be hatin' on "Day-hikers"...
That is one loooonnnnngggggg snake!
How many miles did you hike on this day?
Excellent footage of a venomous nope rope
Kelly is so damn cute in every way. I feel the people who run into her on the trail are lucky to be around someone ao special
Dang! That’s one big snake
not long after u passed there they opened it back up to foot traffic
That was one huge snake! Yikes!
Holy snap that was a big rattler.. good eye on that dudes part!
I have a feeling PopEye and his Bud are gonna become 'Rattlesnake Wranglers' after this is over...there is Great money in collecting the Venom for Anti-venom, jus sayn.
Great snakes
Keep walking in the Spirit of God most high, or keep hiking in it in your case.
Trek on !=8)
Biggest timber rattlesnake I've ever seen, it's best to leave them alone,
get bit game over.
My Brow raised when he Keeeept coming out of that Brush, almost 7'?....he would Def raise your Deductible on your Insurance plan.
What state are we in that we're still seeing rattlesnakes 🐍?
🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍 ...she passes out
Keep your eyes out for Brian Laundrie!
Don’t like snakes
You seen Brian Laundrie? 😒 🤔
That snake would give a nasty bite.
Thanks for the beautiful Vistas. And I totally agree he is awful
I hate big ass black rattle snakes! (I actually have never seen a black rattler like that)!
Your turkey calls need a little work
Be careful out there guys! Keep your eyes peeled for a lone hiker (male) im sure you've heard about it...
Dog the Bounty Hunter is on it!
Not a nasty creature. That creature has as much right,if not more, to be there. The snake is not in your space, you are in the snake’s space. Besides, if you were feeling a bit tired, I bet that encounter got your adrenaline going and perked you up.
But does he/she/it/they have a right to inherently Bite/Tag you as you gently walk by and inflict near death and a 125K ER bill? That is the question....
Snake space lol
@S M / We can agree to disagree =)
@@go-dog-go I've walked past many timber rattlesnakes in harriman. Often I get a kind "rattle-tattle," or a noisy bzzzzzz of a scared one. Stop, observe, just walk by if you have space and they arent in defense mode, give them space and in time they'll leave, they will never attack unless provoked, which could be accidentally.
@S M / Ok...now you've Touched a nerve, hah....i've had Little fear in harvesting over 100 Gators, Wild Boar and even a few CottonMouths/Rattlesnakes.....but i Cannot stand Spiders.....i have to vacumn them up. Facts! It's late here currently, and im going to have to watch 30 minutes of SpongeBob so i won't have nightmares now.... Cheers Mate =)|
you should have eaten that snake!
