@VanitasxAura You will learn more as you grow and with the years. 15 or 10 years ago, I never would have known what I know today, but that is due to my constant desire to find/discover new information about Perón and Evita. Just when a person thinks that everything that can possibly learned is learned or that anything that can be discovered is discovered, is when something turn up. I will never leave my post as guard to continue seeking more about Evita as I raise her name up to victory.
@VanitasxAura It was due to many factores; however, I believe her declining health was ultimate factor that forced her to decline the honor of being the vice-president of the country. She also faced constant opposition of the oligarchy, but mainly, the military. I think the military was the second most influential factor after she came to terms with her health. All in all, quite a tragic story for someone who wanted nothing more than to GIVE to the people and to work to make their lives better.
@stealth1692 Evita is buried with her father's family in the mausoleum, "Familia Duarte", in La Recoleta Cemetery in the Buenos Aires district of Recoleta. She rests far, far below a marble floor, which contains a trapdoor that leads to two coffins, and beneath this area is another trapdoor that goes to another compartment and that is where her coffin lies 27 feet underground. It is covered by layers of cement and steel to stop any would be vandals.
@VanitasxAura Yes, the men of the armed forces were COWARDS. But remember this and remember it well, Evita WAS and ALWAYS IS revolution. The title of "Vice-President" would have looked awesome in the history books, but our Evita still achieved much more than anyone could have thought at the time. The interesting and fascinating part is that Evita did it WITHOUT the title. She did more in the short time granted to her than the majority of vice-presidents ever did, combined. She IS revolution!
@TheNaomiengland Anti-Peronists have unceasingly tried to connect Evita with ties to being a Nazi sympathizer and even gone so far as to say that she was the one who distracted the world while Juan Perón collaborated with & fought for the Nazi movement. The TRUTH is that Perón's government was the very first to welcome the Argentine Jewish community of Argentina and even the first to permit and welcome Jewish citizens to freely run for and hold public office withing the Argentine government.
What a beautiful voice
Thank you for posting.
You are welcome! It is worth the work and effort when I receive positive comments like yours. ¡VIVA PERON Y VIVA EVITA!
Seriously one of my all time heroes just to hear her voice!
Amazing work! thank you so much!!!
Gracias!!!!!!!!!!!!!♥
@Clarimaria Gracias! Un gran abrazo!
@stealth1692 The song is "At Rest" by Kevin MacLeod. It is also added to the ending of the video after Evita speaks her last words.
