In this video, when Sterling is discussing end-of-life for the CO detector, he says that the device is to be replaced by 2011. What he meant was that it should be replaced by 2021, as indicated on the sticker, which comes on the device. Newer versions of the detector can actually indicate through the alarm panel when they reach their end-of-life.
+Brian Guillot Unfortunately, you won't be able to use that device with the LYNX Touch panel. While the system can control Z-Wave lights, locks and thermostats, it can only get alarm inputs in from Honeywell wireless RF sensors. If you want smoke and CO detection, you'll need a 5800CO and a 5808W3.
+Brian Guillot Yes, it's a common confusion. It has to do with Z-Wave class designations. Basically, the L5100-ZWAVE controller isn't listed for Z-Wave sensors (door/window contacts, motions, smokes, etc) and is only listed for Z-Wave control devices (lights, locks, thermostats, blinds, water valves, etc).

We want to renew our carbon detector but programing code on pannel 4112 doesn't work what should we do
How would you set up a first alert ZCOMBO smoke detector for the lynx touch 7000? I have looked everywhere and cant seem to find any information.

Thanks for the reply. I was confused because the devices say Z wave compatible.

Sterling one last question. Do they not sell a combination unit that works?
5800COMBO is the model number.
It's fairly new.

You said2011😂
Yep, he did say 2011, when he meant 2021. Glad to see you were paying attention! ;-). Thank you for pointing this out, we'll add a pinned note.
