11:05 - I disagree with the whole concept of not capturing enemies after you become a king. I made my first king of Calradia this way. It's a fairly dirty tactic, but it sure works - put your captives in prison and refuse ransom. You might lose a bit of honour, but the enemy can't really beat you if they have few commanders to fight you with. It's fun too, almost like a game of medieval Pokemon - gotta incarcerate them all. To make Rolf your Vassal you just select the option "would you be willing to hold a fief" all companions say yes for various different reasons, in Rolf's case due to him being part of an ancient and powerful house, an then you simply select the fief you wish to give them. Rolf will then raise his own army and fight for you.
Joe Owen-Hollows this might be dumb question but I'm kinda new so if Katrin had 7 inventory management would that even be helpful as a leader skill i know others like leadership and prison management are important but just wondering
+Pack of Storm those 7 points in inventory management is useless because it's a leader skill (meaning that you are the only one that the skill can affect)

I couldn't find him so I trained firentis instead and he saved my army against khergits. But by a mistake I conquered an old vaegir castle and now I'm at 2 sieges :/
before you try to become king you want a few city's and castles before you rebel against your lord so you get the most land if you want to rebel always accept castles because you get more towns with castles for your vassles this will help you even if you are not making enough money from the castles i was making 4000 a week with 3 cities 4 castles and 6 towns then when i split i gave every thing but my cities away and was making 30,000 a week because of less cost of up holding castles and amount loss due to tax inefficiency but if you start with more citys and castles you would start with more vassles or at least i started with like 10 then i started expanding. most important build up then rebel
Joshua Waltiere I feel that having 10vassals at the beginning is a downfall. The more vassals with that land, then you got to split it up and the amount of land or the current state effects their army size (for example a Lord with a village usually averages about 20-50 troops, a Lord with a castle 50-90, a Lord with a castle and village 100-120 and a Lord with a town and villages 100-130, a Lord with a town, castles and villages 120-150+ depending on their renown, money, and how successful they're (winning battles, saved up loads of money, but this can be effected by - low money, losing battles, or just surviving a battle and then being attacked again and losing - either escaping or getting captured can effect their army aswell (due to them having to pay a ransom) of any amount, according to their current state of affairs
TheGameLab /gaming absolutely especially if you helped take land so that way they will be spread thin and you know how they operate so it should fairly easy compared to attacking a faction blindly
I’m in the process of eliminating the Swadians. I’ve already conquered the nords and I have the rhodoks on my side helping me keep king harlaus at bay. While I fight the endless amount of lords the butterlord seems to have.
There's a Lord as a companion that at first thought I was a lowly nobles but I gave him armor similar to mine(winged helm, coat of plates) he grew respect quickly he runs my capital, Rivacheg I took it over very easily 106 v 376 (Rhodok sergeants are beastly against recruits and veterans)
i became king over all of calradia amd then indicted all the lords for treason was surreal to travel around in an empty map, only notable npcs being me, my wife and my companions
The first thing I do is claim all villages for myself and give castles to my first vassals. I give them a whole bunch right away since I dont plan to keep them. But the villages need to be in my control so I can build schools and get some nice revenue. Sometimes I give large cities away but I usually keep them for the money and to form large garrisons. I like to make someone a marshal right away as well. That way I can find a useful marshal right away. This leads to having a small amount of large armies roaming your lands so bandits will grow larger as well. But other countries will get real nervous about messing with you. I used the nords to conquer most of the world and then once I hit 2000 renown and 60 right to rule I broke out on my own and then accidentally incited the nords. So I took a bunch of their cities and forts while they were at war with the only remaining faction. They called peace and its been a long time. Ive had two villages ask the nords to take control of them and king Ragnar ignored it and lost face. Maybe because he still has a relationship of 55 with me haha.

They should make it where you can change the color of the names of the feifs you hold on the map I really wanna change the color. And if your still replying what happens when you take the continent will the game end or will you be able to continue?
If I remember correctly the game doesn't "end" but your list of things to do goes way down. there will be a few parties of lords who have no land but will still try to attack you. You could also still trade and upgrade your stuff but that's about it
I failed at being a king I grinded for 16 hours on the weekend then left my vassalage and conquered a castle and I sent out one of my companions and somehow randomly got 2 lords but after that everyone declared war on me 30 mins in so I took 4 castles then lost all but 1 and my lords got imprisoned and one of them had 40 of my nord huscarls i gave them for the military campaign i was about to do
Don't try to be a king with no right to rule. Be a vassal for a while and just take castles and demand to take them. If the king doesn't hate you he will pretty much give you all castles you solo.
Mrhiho damn I’m very late but this comment hits me in the feels, I’ve successfully became emperor (owned everything) once and after that I keep trying to speed up early game and getting shut down.
That guy, you can do it you just have to cheese. Basically exclusively swadian knights and if you get severely outnumbered (like 1:10 ratio outnumbered) then just turn down max unit numbers to the minimum (which is 30 in warband).
You say four thousand! Nah. I say I got over nine thousand!!! I mean it! for real ok! So also I tried not taking a vassal and have all of them to my name and dang I mistake clicked my strongest guy into a into a vassal so I went with it anyways but I surely just stocked every castle with thousands of armies and It took a lot of minutes also thousands of armies gives you more time to build up your army even more cause they have to match its amount before they attack you and all! Though I loved a good amount of prisoners filled castle 😊
Time to make videos again, Turya. How about this: Being a King Tutorial Part II: Dickplomacy, how to rule the world and have a wife in every town, becoming the Chad King of Virility. Addendum: Without getting raped by bandits while starting out.
Probably not, my computer is a little dated to be doing all that processing anymore. But you never know what the future holds, I still have all of my equipment
Turya Saurous I started to help the swadians a little to much and we almost have half of the realm controlled and ive tried leaving but couldnt take over any castles because they are all almost 500 full, i have 4 castles and then 3 large towns with crap ton of villaged and idk if its possible to keep them when i leave or if i need to start over
Okay, so it definitely sounds like you're in a bit of a pickle. I'll give some thoughts on your 2 biggest problems. 1. Swadia is now massive - I have a few thoughts on how to try and fix this. Unfortunately, the way you get to keep your land makes this much harder. So if your land is more important to you, sadly you'll have to deal with an oversized Swadia. If you'd rather weaken Swadia, I'd recommend temporarily joining a weaker faction. This way you can use their lords to take some of the Castle's away from Swadia and move them over to the weaker guys (who are also less of a threat since they're already weakened). 2. Keeping your land - If you decide that you'd rather keep your land and deal with Swadia being huge, I only know 1 way to do so. Basically you need to take castles. At some point you won't get the castle awarded to you and it will say something like, you have too much land already. You should see an option there to revolt. This let's you keep your land but will make Swadia angry so you'll need to be ready to defend it. Hopefully you find some of my thoughts useful. Feel free to ask more if you're stuck. P.S Don't forget to get very high right to rule or every faction will declare war on you
Turya Saurous so if i take 1 castle from lets say nords then i can revolt and keep all of my castles and towns, if so that would take them down to about half and half between me and them, i just checked and was rewarded 4 large towns/castles and 6 individual castles, i will try the second wat and let you know, thank you so much
Turya Saurous alright it worked, i kept 12 vilages, 4 large towns(Yalen, Halmar, Durquba, Ahmerrad). And six castles, i should now be able to defeat swadia, i have about 6,000 troops with all garrison combined, thanks again this helped out more than you know!!!
I had every kingdom go to war with me and i held them all off... too easy... I had 4 Cities a bunch of Castles and over 1500 men for my personal army, not to mention the 30 or more vassals I have and their armies lol.. I've won a battle in the open field with 120 men vs 880.... took about 30 mins or so
Well if Swadia is at roughly the starting size I'd say you're in trouble. To start I'd build the best ranged force you can to ensure you can keep that 1 castle while making them pay for the attempt. After that build a shock force troop (strongest cavalry you can get) and hammer them outside the towns. Eventually all the lords will have no army and you can start picking off weak castles to build up. Or you know, bid for peace
@@turyasaurous Also me and the nords are at war with them but we are not allies nor enemys and so they took over 1 city but they got a truce with them and now i am the main target for swadia 😓
@@officerbrandon21 You can capture the king but it doesn't do much besides keep him off the field of battle. If you are strong enough to take him I think there is an option to ask for peace if you talk to him. Might work but if your right to rule and what not is too low then some army or another will pretty much always be at war with you
I love Mount and Blade videos, and you did a great job on like 99% of this. One thing is killing me, man; it's "while" not "whilst". We're not in 16oo's London.
I am not and it seems they dont know a way to add them all in with controller limitations. You can try this one though (Hold) R1+R2+L1+L2 then (Tap) TouchPad. Supposed to give you cash
Welcome, I learned that if you do jobs for guild master it lowers mine is at 7k while I make 15k a week but right now few kingdom at war I'm only making 2k a week.
Wait wtf? You hate playing against the Nords, you think they're the hardest ones to beat... so you help them take over half the map and then declare war on them, ensuring you will be forced to fight them a lot? What sense does that make? Did you want to make it more challenging or what?
They're only really strong in castle sieges though, strong cavalry out in the open map are generally their weakness so I don't think they're that difficult as long as you can get knights/mamlukes or mercenary horsemen/cavalry I also think mamlukes sometimes have hammers which break the shields down? These types of units are also good at holding off huscarls without horses in seiges too if the strategy is right
Shoot, I'm not 100% but I want to say Perisno has that functionality. Mind you the whole reason this is implemented is that the mod itself is much harder than regular M&B. I don't think there is a stand alone mod that allows your vassals to recruit for you. Although it's a good idea
That's fair and they've made mods that kind of fix that issue. If you want to do that but within vanilla constricts I'd say recruiting from the taverns is really your best bet. It's slow and not always amazing but it does work
I like recruiting from my own towns. I get about 24 recruits and i have a trainer perk so leveling up is fast. Btw wouldn't it be kinda cool if you could recruit bandits. "I'll give you women and gold if you fight for me but otherwise i'll kill you all!!" .... that should be an option if you have high charisma

If I remember correctly the game doesn't "end" but your list of things to do goes way down. there will be a few parties of lords who have no land but will still try to attack you. You could also still trade and upgrade your stuff but that's about it
I failed at being a king I grinded for 16 hours on the weekend then left my vassalage and conquered a castle and I sent out one of my companions and somehow randomly got 2 lords but after that everyone declared war on me 30 mins in so I took 4 castles then lost all but 1 and my lords got imprisoned and one of them had 40 of my nord huscarls i gave them for the military campaign i was about to do
Reality hits you hard :D
Aidan Anderson I’m trying not to cheese maybe, but my problem is I can never get a second batch of troops to like tier 3 or higher.
Great video series, thanks for making it.
Cheers!
How about this:
Being a King Tutorial Part II: Dickplomacy, how to rule the world and have a wife in every town, becoming the Chad King of Virility.
Addendum: Without getting raped by bandits while starting out.
Start in swadia. They have the easiest bandits
When bannerlord comes out will you start making videos again??
Probably not, my computer is a little dated to be doing all that processing anymore. But you never know what the future holds, I still have all of my equipment
If anyone can help me at all i need some advice or info on becoming a king
Is there any particular part you're struggling with? Being/becoming a king is a big thing and might be hard to go over in full in a comment
I've won a battle in the open field with 120 men vs 880.... took about 30 mins or so
nobody cares bro
@@aarontarkington7150 Why you on here then little Bitch noob
Colhoun Clan to make u mad lol
Lets talk to Rolf and see if he becomes a vassal? Jesus Christ, you have no idea what you're talking about xD
Please explain
I am at war with swadia and i only have 1 castle and 1 vassel any tips?
Well if Swadia is at roughly the starting size I'd say you're in trouble. To start I'd build the best ranged force you can to ensure you can keep that 1 castle while making them pay for the attempt. After that build a shock force troop (strongest cavalry you can get) and hammer them outside the towns. Eventually all the lords will have no army and you can start picking off weak castles to build up. Or you know, bid for peace
@@turyasaurous Is there a way to capture the king and force him into submission or do i have to keep on pressuring him with attacks?
@@turyasaurous Also me and the nords are at war with them but we are not allies nor enemys and so they took over 1 city but they got a truce with them and now i am the main target for swadia 😓
@@officerbrandon21 You can capture the king but it doesn't do much besides keep him off the field of battle. If you are strong enough to take him I think there is an option to ask for peace if you talk to him. Might work but if your right to rule and what not is too low then some army or another will pretty much always be at war with you
@@turyasaurous Okay ty for the help

You should start at the beginning and lead all the way up to becoming king of all caladria

I love Mount and Blade videos, and you did a great job on like 99% of this. One thing is killing me, man; it's "while" not "whilst". We're not in 16oo's London.
Jake Alexander but I like the 1600s :(
Turya Saurous You monster.
(Seriously though great video)
Thanks man and I'll keep the time period in mind if I ever make another video lol

I am not and it seems they dont know a way to add them all in with controller limitations. You can try this one though (Hold) R1+R2+L1+L2 then (Tap) TouchPad. Supposed to give you cash
@@turyasaurous babe
Wow swadians just disappeared from the map xD how that possible Swadian knights are so strong
It's the same in my gameplay too, anyway basically whichever faction you choose will always be stronger that everyone else for some reason
I played Rhodoks and swadians are no more, they only has 1 castle... We took all that they previously had...
The last vid ever
Cwrig Anime maybe, maybe not. Never know what the future holds
Turya Saurous it holds BANNER LORD my dire sir.....if it ever comes out
Is there a way to fix tax inefficiency?
Greathope gaming Do jobs for the guild master to fix tax.
@@aaronaguilar3126 Thank you very much it's like negitive 20k
Welcome, I learned that if you do jobs for guild master it lowers mine is at 7k while I make 15k a week but right now few kingdom at war I'm only making 2k a week.
make the towns like you more by doing quests for guild master
This game is better whit cheats
you got no clue mate
These types of units are also good at holding off huscarls without horses in seiges too if the strategy is right
i love you
I am the thousands like
I know it is late but I NEED THAT MOD i need my vessels to recruit people WHAT MOD IS IT
Shoot, I'm not 100% but I want to say Perisno has that functionality. Mind you the whole reason this is implemented is that the mod itself is much harder than regular M&B. I don't think there is a stand alone mod that allows your vassals to recruit for you. Although it's a good idea
Your still on yt?
I didn’t know
Uhm sort of...I still use this account but I don't really make videos since life keeps me busy. But, I try to answer comments whenever I can
I think you should keep uploading love your channel but sense it’s dead there is no point in subbing
It annoys me that i can't just buy my army... i have about 1 500 000 coins in the game and i would just buy a big ass army
@Klaani K you can recruit bandits if they are captured by you in camping screen but it won't work every time
