I have been searching for solutions for about 2 weeks now and Roku forums said the only solution was system update, which mine is all up to date, or to delete YT, reset Roku, then re-download YT...all of which didn't work. After watching your video, I found that my TV setting for YT somehow were automatically set at Zoom In instead of normal....which it never was before 🤦🏽♀️. My picture settings don’t have the screen size option just
Hey when I open the Astrik menu it only gives me accessibility settings and volume settings, And the picture settings is just non existent, How do I fix this?

I love how you're going to use the menu options while the roku is zoomed and you can't see the freaking menu options. Not to mention my roku doesn't have these options in it's menu. So far i've never seen a roku with the same menu options as mine on the internet. Seeing the fact that mine is stuck permanently and there's no way fix it I'm gonna smash it with a sledge hammer. I'll never buy roku again because every single one i've ever bought has gone bad In a few months to a year. The quality in their components are as cheapest they come. Unfortunately every other streaming service is also cheap asian made crap that's designed to break so you by another one also so we are screwed either way.

Thank you for posting however when I followed your directions when I press the Astrik button I do not get the menu you indicated all I have is a captioning & reader menu. And I cannot read most of the menu since it’s jammed all the way to the left. I would appreciate any help
The Astrid didn’t work for me either. I had to go to settings on the Home Screen. Then I selected display and it came up as 4k. I changed the selection to 1080 and it works fine now. I have no idea what 4k and 1080 mean I just chose something other then what it was defaulting too.
If no options for picture setting try rebooting cable box AND the tv it worked for me .

With a Roku tv is there an option to adjust to watch a small picture size? I had this option years ago and used it overnight. Trying to find a tv that will do this
Just have to press the Asterix button while on the UA-cam app to find the aspect ratio setting.
None of these work if you're on a gaming console that does not fit the whole screen. It's essentially a flaw on Roku's end.

They should allow you to customize the zoom amount. Because I am playing an old xbox game on my TV that had the 4:3 ratio but when I zoom in it's too much zoom. Cuts off important information. If I can only zoom slightly less I would have all the information I need.
I keep reading these posts about going into a settings area that we don't have on our Rokus. So, what else can you do. I have a Roku 4k streaming stick?

@@JonTheVGNerd But the Roku worked perfectly on my kitchen TV. My living room tv, older Sharp works well with Spectrum cable box and fills the whole screen, so don't dare change any tv settings. These peripheral devices do this occasionally, am sure it has something to do with how they interact with the tv!
Even them options dont make a difference even played a dvd through my xbox and film kept switchin from narrow to full screen. So dont know if its xbox as tried on a different tv and did same but the zoom options on this tcl tv are poor dont make one bit of difference

Cable TV image is too small and not HD, but the AppleTV image is perfect.

Does not work at all, as there's still black borders on top and on the sides when playing any and all games on the PS2. Roku really should include the "fit to screen" option just to get rid of the annoying black borders.

None of this is working. When i push the * button.... I only have two options. Volume mode & accessibility. I have been thru all tv settings all UA-cam settings all android settings all Roku settings. Argh!
It's a massive design flaw on Roku's end.
