(Edited from the original because of what's up top) When the Knights are summoned; they would form a circle around the current battlefield; each ally would have their normal attack command replaced with an attack from a knight chosen in a random order and whence the twelfth knight that surrounds the table, King Arthur appears behind the other thirteen and he cuts the battleground in half in a way similar to the finale of the original materia summon.

I liked Jenova giving Ifrit, was as if she either had it all along or jacked it from Shinra on her escape. Shiva from the little girl you save, guessing she found it playing with the wildlife at the beach beneath Junon. Bahamut being rewarded was always a little odd, a Red Dragon dropping it....but where you got it was respectful, the king of dragons should be close to the Ancients for everyone's protection. Leviathan, hell there's a whole mini quest basically destroyed now, probably the worse one to change out of them all personally...
Bahamut was actually more impressive in PS1. Not entirely sure but I remember that humongous badass dragon flying across space like WOOOOOOSSHH!! And fucking up the planet like WREEEAAACK!! Now the visuals are cool and all but its just an average dragon that fits in a room...
@@vinceunknown1935 You never know. Bahamut Sin was a special case because of who summoned him. I mean...it was obtained by someone in the party between FF7 ending and AC beginning. Anything can happen at this point.
i would be mad if it was in the game as far as ff7 goes you should be no more than lvl 16 to 20 by the time you leave midgar so it would make no sense to have kotr in this game even bahamut and leviathan are out of place as you dont get them till late in the original game and nowhere near midgar but they had to add content so i can forgive them.

it may be a while before it comes to pc as its a ps4 exlusive it will get a port but if i had to guess it may be a year or 2 before it happens i hear you though it will play way better on pc as consoles just cant handle a fast paced game like this as well as a good pc can.
I feel like FFXV summons are better because you feel their Strength or Power even with just a cutscene it feels rewarding and satisfying while summons here are fast to show and fast to go away it's hard to catch up and take it all in of what's happening and appreciate them more.
The summoning system actually looks a lot like FFXII, where the summon stays on the battle fighting alongside the characters until their timer rans out, in which they'll cast their finisher. I have to admit that the finishers in this game lacks the impact of older summon sequence, but I feel that the speedy finishers were meant to maintain the quick tempo of the action-ey battle.
@@maidenlessnerdz5558 Yes they do but at the same time it keeps you distracted by the moment to fully appreciate them. It's great that they get to stay with you long enough but idk, it's cool but I can't feel the weight of having them at most times when I engage in battles unlike FFXV when they show up. Hard to explain.

Not even close. Ff15 summons are just eye candy and that's it. ff7 remake summons not only loook amazing but do fight alongside you for a period of time. You get to enjoy their imposing presence in all of its glory. Also, bahamut in that game looks like shit.
@ I prefer XV way more. These summons feels like they don't do shit in the game, unless you use your own ATB to command them which I would rather use to use my spells or cure/items. Also the final attacks are lackluster in the remake besides ifrit and bahamut. I mean compare the attack of leviathan and shiva in the remake to XV, 15 looks way better. Though I prefer the mechanics in 7R more, 15 was random.

And while i do agree that they trump most of the summons in terms of ultimate attacks, ff7 remake summons are waaay waaay more useful than some random in game cutscene attacks. Also ifrit in this game makes that joke of ff15 look like some gay ass unfed goat man. Shiva's ultimate attack in this remake is literally the same as her counterpart in ffX which was adored by fans. And bahamut looks exactly how it's supposed to look, the freaking king of dragons not some gigantic saint seiya character.

XV summons are cool and op but that's the problem, it's too OP and it's really a very desperate move that it doesn't add any strategy value it's literally, press the button if you want to win well except for adamantoise if i remember correctly

Summons in this game are absolute trash. I just had the Type-0 Behemoth fight and wasn't able to use any of my summons. Wtf is this trash? Two steps forward, one step back.

Shaun Dewey IKR?! Even that really rewarding feeling once you get your first summon materia (Shiva), after a very hard battle in Junon is gone.
Pretty sure some dude gives them to you. But you have to fight them first.
They have completely overhauled the game and agree with you it's not as good as the original.
