facts. ive been playing for 7 years, on and off due to how intense the grind is, and my most advanced are germany (8.0) and usa (5.0), both ground, with 0 golden eagles, and only 1.4 million silver lions lmao
I don't think this would solve the core issue, being the grind, I think the snail should make the grind easier, I've been playing for 2 years and I'm still only about 80% done.
I think infantry would be an interesting ideas. What if some TDs, SPAA, and later APCs and IFVs had access to a small squad of infantry that could either be anti air specialists, engineers, anti infantry soldiers, or anti tank soldiers. They would count as crew members of a vehicle and can be killed like any other crew member, but can’t drive the vehicle themselves. If you crew dies, they will have to get out and make a last stand.
I think maybe some light anti tank guns for infantry, but make them like really bad and if you dont move quickly it may kill you and the transition from friendly soldiers to enemy soldiers should be something like the enemy soldiers come and defeat the friendly soldiers when the point is taken over or something.
That actually will be a good option for spawm camping problem. Bad accuracy gun or limit engagement range for spawm protection, enough for discourage steam roll or just add a surrender butten
Stuff like the ratel 90 and 20 are apc's, so they could drop stuff like anti-Tank units around the map, giving you asists or protecting your rear flank.
I always thought of utility planes, like a cargo plane that can drop ammo, med kits and all that (if they added PLAYABLE infantry, but they could also just add paratroopers)
I would love to see something like this added. They could also serve as desturctable Ai units that have to be defended or escorted by each team. You could finally give a purpose to napalm, flamethrowers and all the other anti infantry munitions already in the game. They could introduce so many new game modes around them too like a base defense or a convoy escort mode. They could also be actual artillery positions spawning randomly around the map that could be destroyed to deny the enemy from using their artillery strike modification. There is already a bunch of different At guns, howitzers, mgs and so on in the game. It would probably not be too difficult to introduce them to tank battles.
Supposedly there is no infantry in order to keep a low violence rating. The same reason the crew only ever get "knocked out" or fall "unconscious" from the 75mm HEAT that just detonated directly on their helmet lol
I've been saying for years that having AI infantry in the form of anti-tank or anti-air teams would be a great addon for APC's and IFV's at higher tiers; you could use them as a consumable like the newly-added ammo resupply crates for tank destroyers and SPAA's, deploying them to lock down strategic locations or set up ambushes, and after they fire a preset number of shots they would despawn. Some helicopters could also use this; making them more like how they were used IRL with choppers like the Hind and Huey being able to drop off AI infantry teams before taking off again and resuming their role as close air support. I recall a few years ago there was a game called "Heliborne" which used this as a mechanic; you had utility helicopters that could act as both troop transports and gunships, the infantry holding capture points on the ground and setting up anti-air defenses to repel enemy choppers. Overall I think this would make those vehicles more versatile and add some variety to gameplay.

My ideal uinfantry updated would be: when a point is captured lets say A point, a convoy of truck should spawn at a nearby spawn point and deliver infantry to the battlefield and if the enemy team is able to destroy them before reaching the point, then the infantry should be out of the round. But if the infantry does make it, then they are able to entrench the first point and if the team captures the next point, atleast 1 or 2 trucks spawn again to deliver infantry until the last point, with the last point that is near the enemy should only be defended by 2 squads for balance purposes.
Now they have added ammo boxes i keep thinking about what other deployables tanks could build, such as tank traps, mines, barbed wire, trenches, sand bags, scouts, etc
I remember playing a game of war thunder and they had these guys on anti tank guns protecting a town that be fun to need to clear a town or support a group of guys like how we have the helicopter battles and air battles
if you test fly the p-59 on the runway next to some bombers there are working soldier models with animations such as running, crouching, prone and d3ad. you just got to shoot at them and they'll start running around. this was a while ago so they could've changed the test fly map cause i know they did not too long ago but they're in the game Edit: yeah it looks like they've changed all the test flight maps but it was there at one point
honestly i think they should be required to capture the points where tanks themselves out side of ifv's but tanks should be required to escort or have infantry off of spawn and either have the infantry ride on them or have more follow behind the tank maybe double then that of riding and the tank can bring non but they wouldn't be able to capture a bases directly, but they would be able to reinforce a base reinforcing a base would make the troops on the base have some kind of damage resistance, the infantry would be able to launch assaults on other bases without tanks and if you killed someone on the base they would have a capture time reduction of enemy or natural bases. and troops would steadily flow from the spawn point without any players actively spawning in with them. the soldiers can have little fighting animations like titan fall grunts do, and should in my opinion fortify a point that has been captured for a longer time requiring armored support to break through the defenses. i would like an ec tank mode that has more than 15 bases for this idea in my head
Would be cancerous, like CAS but you gotta find out what building the guy with the RPG or NLAW is in. But yea would be interesting to see APCs, IFVs, and the such have infantry to support it.

I've had this idea for a while that they should probably add APC to the game which can carry infantry that you can control like the UAV on light tanks so for example lets say M113 APC with .50 cal turret on roof and can carry an infantry squad with rifles and anti tank rockets AT-4 probably so im gonna put this at battle rating 6.7+ so yeah and it can cap points too

to improve player experience they should change some of the mechanics for example hesh. How many times do you get oneshot in centurion avre? its frustrating to aim for years and getting 'hit' with no damage all though round have over 20kg of explosive so it should kill almost everytime and enywere.

Would love if they fired at you. No Anti-Tank just basic small arms. It'd add an extra layer of thinking for open tanks
