Oh about those stockpile ur talking about, yes they can store away items like 25mm, 30mm, 35 mm ammo for their RWS, 76mm shells, .50 cal rounds for M2 MGs.,extra torpedos for their triple tube launchers, etc. But those munitions inside their VLS, (if applicable) oh they have to head back to home port for reloading.

This is why the 6 HHI OPVs all need torpedo launchers to accompany the frigates. PN needs more AW-159s. Damen might be a good choice, but ISL’s SA’AR S-80 in a heavy corvette configuration is the best bang for the buck

Procuring arms and weapons is an expensive and very complicated endeavor. Let's just Keep It Simple and Systematic but not costly in solving the problem on WPS. Diplomatically invite all Allied Countries like the U.S., Canada, Japan, Israel, South Korea, India, France, Germany, Sweden and others to be involved in oil exploration to our own EEZ with 60-40 sharing in favor of the Philippines. In this manner these allies of ours will protect their interest further more in WPS not just solely for their freedom of navigation but also their valuable investments and assets. Through this therefore, at their own expense the Philippines will be consequently be protected indirectly. It's just like putting our first line of defense against China because this will make more difficult for China to proceed with their own selfish plans and intention but perhaps will rather join in the exploration in the end. It's a strategic move that'll favor our country defensively as well as economically. It's a win win situation for everybody and no blood shed. This is just my opinion. 😊

Let's study some numbers, the PLAN (People's Liberation Army Navy) has more than 150+Surface Ships, from Destroyers, Frigates, Corvettes & Missile Boats, although their Destroyers can carry more than 10 AShM's per destroyer, and their Missile boats carry about 8 AShMs, let's just assume that the average number of AShMs carried by a single Chinese warship is 8. You multiply 8 by 150 = 1,200 AShM. So you have an "assumed" 1,200 Anti- ship Missiles the Chinese Navy has.(Actual figure is much higher) * The Chinese Naval doctrine incorporates naval aviation or naval airpower which also includes their Air Force's land based Fighter jets, Fighter bombers, Strategic Bombers, They currently have 1,200+ Fighter Jets, 80+ Fighter bombers & 150+ Strategic Bombers. Here again let's assume their Air Force has about 200 to 300 AShM's.(air launched) 1,200 (Ship launched AShM) +. 200 (Aircraft launched AShM) _____________________________ =. 1,400 Anti-ship Missiles * This list does not include the DF-21 Hypersonic Ballistic Missiles+ the other Hypersonic Ballistic Missiles that China has in it's arsenal. They number about 1,200+ in total. Should a war erupt within the region, the Chinese Navy plans to use them against US Aircraft Carriers and other ships! CHINESE SUBMARINE FLEET: China has less than 10 Kilo Class submarines in their fleet, their total submarines number to about 70 to 80 subs. Submarine torpedos have a limited range, they can't be fired from very long distances and expect to hit their targets while their target ships are moving fast in water. So in my view our PN should acquire more AAW(Anti-air Warfare) ships than ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) ships coz of the fact that Surface Ships & Aerial threats pose more greater danger for our Navy than Submarines do. For their next Frigate/Corvette acquisition they could go for 1 x AAW ship & 1 x ASW ship. That way they'll be able to cover both bases.
