P.S. the pure panic, acceptance of death and small hope of surviving was like some guy doing a face plant and writing his will at the same time. Edit: Did some of the Yggy calls sync with the music? You really like doing that and I’m more then happy when you do it. It is just perfection.
You kinda need to treat it like Awakening in Persona, but instead of saving your resources to push them as far into Awakening as you can, it's kill him entirely to bypass dealing with this. Much harder in a game where most characters don't get that much midscreen, but also do 70% or more of of a CH anti-air hit, or any CH in the corner. And since you only use meter for supers, Lowain can just sit on all of that meter until he's at 30% health.

Probably back dashing or rolling/spot dodging at the right time, all of her moves are telegraphed to the point that blocking or dodging isn't a huge issue. Problem is that with delay from playing online, you usually won't be able to do that.
I almost want that fight your Lowain now. I was able to beat out Iggdrasyl before so I'd like to see if I can survive someone whose hand more experience with this character.
I labbed it a little bit so if you have enough HP, just block all 3 & only try to spot dodge react to the lava to counter iggy. Run toward iggy around when its SSBA is over & you get to punish it (only if they dont use the rock move last) it takes practice

He's actually bottom 1. Even a character like vira (her only strength is dmg and can't crossup because her air movement speed sucks and she has no mix because her lows and overheads have the worst frame data in the game so she's low tier) can body a lowain.

Well, yeah, since you're going to be linking a lot of normals in this game, you can't mash, because mashing will give you autocombo. For example, you have to input stuff as 5M, 5M > Special. Not 5MM. 5MM will give you autocombo. It's not frame perfect, and as far as I know, there isn't anything frame perfect in this game. It just takes some getting used to and some self control to stop mashing on the buttons. I do agree that even if you know how to deal with Yggy, it's still annoying. It takes way too much time and you're going to see it almost every round.

If you're coming from something like BB, P4U, or BBTAG, it's gonna take a bit to get used to this game, but don't give up! Eventually you will learn the timing for getting links to connect. These games take mad time. It took me ~2,000 matches of my first fighting game (P4U/P4A) before I was doing real combos and real pressure, understanding neutral, and the flow of the game in general. I've been playing Persona since 2013 and I still learning something new almost every time I play. Now I'm feeling that with Granblue. It's very different, more like Street Fighter than a typical ArcSys game. GBVS has depth but also has a lot of problems. There's a patch coming sometime this month that will hopefully address some of the issues.
I actually hate that they put a character that essentially has a free win button as long as the player is half decent, into this otherwise great fighting game.
Don't worry, Lowain is actually really bad and no one will lose to this if they bother to training mode against it for a few minutes. Unless it's really laggy like a lot of the matches in this video. That shit is impossible to dodge in delay.
