It also works with Aphelion's super nova mod, allowing for spam 8k+ damage nukes in boss fights, which can 2-4 shot bosses
The hot shot is a very cool mod that you can craft very early in the game. Also there is a fire ring that you can purchase that provides an extra 10% damage from Reggie. Very strong way to get going early on.
There's also a couple rings in the starting palace area that Increases damage numbers on status effect builds that synergize with it really well too
the acid bullets are significantly better as they grant 15% crit, combined with a mutator like momentum(+crit +crit dmg) the dps numbers are nutty

An alternative to the Spirit Stone Ring is Burden of the Follower; it lowers your fire rate by 15% but gives you 50% mod power generation.
Where do you get the Burden of the follower ring? I'd like to grab it if it's in my run.
@@marcusbuckley4668 to be honest I don’t quite remember. I believe it was in a permutation of Endaira’s End, Yaesha that didn’t have the Wind Chime puzzle. There were these alcoves that had pots in them where if you broke them you’d find a hole where you could drop down. There were two of these and one of them I think had the ring in them. Apologies if this turns out to be wrong

i have that ring, didn't think it would work like this so never tried it on but it would be insane with the enigma pistol.
Yeah that’s the build I use. Put on the shock boosting ring and amulet with that one and alumni ring that boosts elemental attack. Pair those with the bonesaw and overflow (basically shock version of hot shot) and it melts
Enigma smg is very dope aswell, It locks down close range better than anything, but too bad can’t carry most boss fight.
Tested it with enigma and works like a charm. No cooldown basically, can throw out 2x flame tornados
A lot of people don't mention but kinetic shield exchanger is the same 15% additional mod gen without being a damage type specific. You need a shield up though, so i use rerouting band that gives shield anytime you use stamina, aka always.
There’s a “Sun Talisman” necklace that buffs fire damage by 25% and burning damage by 50% (numbers might be a little off) that would work great with this

Me and my friends tested Golden Ribbons mod power dmg which does more then Sun Talisman as mod power affects the ranged damage modifier + you get haste and it affects other mods that aren't specifically flame based.

I just watched this video on Oct 25 and immediately used this build for my grind of the day. Then the next day, the patch came in and nerfed the Stone of Malevolence. I just tried it, weapon with the elemental mods doesn’t load the mod power of the weapon in use. Tried this with Overflow, Hot Shot, and Corrosive Rounds. I literally only had less than a day enjoying this build. I used to equip my long gun with Overload and mid fight with the mod activated, the power is already fully charged and I’ll use the mod again. You really had infinite mods with enough damage. Damn
There is also Faerin's Sigil that does same thing but for weakspot and critical hits, good with Gambler Ring and Nightfall
It has the same text but it doesn't do the same thing as the Stone of Mal which makes me think one its not an intended mechanic as you can see how strong having infinite Hotshot up is.

The infinite mod build I'm trying to build up is a medic/summoner that gains mod power on health recovery, and I use the ruined heart, which also gives regen and mod power, then medic restocks my relic. :3 oh also summoner self damages for summons so, more mod power.
I've been using that ring with enigma, typically in boss fights I shoot out the 7 stickies and then go to my main gun and the sticky shockers are just helping me generate more mod power. the main gun part of Enigma also generates a massive amount when fighting groups of mobs but for bosses I use the stickies.
Yup, I put the Harmonizer or Feedback Mutator on the Enigma as well, and use the same strategy w/'stickies' on bosses generating mod power for one or both guns while I use the mod on long gun (e.g. Bonesaw or Typewriter). And, I'm using shock on long gun (so my build is shock based rather than fire) so I can use elemental specific buffs like Shock Device Amulet or Grounding Stone ring for extra dmg.
If u wanna spam any mod like say firing off flaming tornadoes like a mini gun then use “stone of malevolence” “feedback mutator” “burden of the follower” & archon” & with that you’ve got +170% mod generation along with the trait

There were builds like this in the first one . I used a build where I had turrets and skull summons up at all times mod power came back almost immediately. The summons also heard me through most damage
That was also with the labyrinth armor from the previous game. Set gave you so much mod generation and power
I'm guessing the mod generation while hot shot is active may be a bug though. I'm guessing there will be other ways to essentially have mods up at all times
I hope they don’t nerf somethings because for some bosses I need the damage I get form Hunter and gunslinger especially on the harder difficulties
@@thegamewin100 I don't really remember them nerfing a whole lot in the first game. I coulbe be wrong it's been a bit since I played but I remember my build staying very usable the whole time
Pair that with Stasis Beam on the other gun and I guess you can infinitely freeze any non-boss.
Would this also work with detonation trigger amulet?
If so, it might go nicely with helix

Also works with the fire tornado mod. And the shock hand cannon is super good with the ring.
I do something similar with firestorm and witch fire. It's not as infinite but they come back really quick in heavy combat. That plus using the fire turret from engineer class also helps with the generation
If you wanted a little survivability slap on the Encrypted ring and have unlimited health regen when you use a mod.
I have that ring but i didn't think much of it, and i didn't realise you could get mod charge for Hot Shot while actually using Hot Shot. Now im going to experiment thanks for the video.
If you use this with the Nebula handgun it is really strong too. Base fire for the Nebula applies corrosive which activates Malevolence. I've basically walked through areas as the Nanoswarm mod on Nebula kills everything and only requires me to stop occasionally to top it back off with some regular shots. Add the Archon archetype and mods are just stupid strong.

if you get the archon class you can generate mod power faster too with the Prime Perk

The corrosive shot reloads the gun so u could have invite mod trigger and never need to reload
And this was before the Archon class was found. This build is gonna go crazy.
Can confirm it works with enigma. Which is waaayyyy faster if it bounces to enemies
it would be cool if they had a similar ring that was for bleed builds
There is a ring somewhere thats just like a general +10% mod power gen so you could use that for bleeds and probably get pretty good uptime
It is in Losom. I found it near where the grandma NPC is on a dead civilian glowing purple

The shock shot… I think blasts fire shot away. When it procs the shock in enemies, which takes like a shot, maybe 3 they instantly just lose 3/4 health in a shock explosion
Yeah I've been doing this as well on my burn build. It's insane how fast bosses die with the firestorm + witchfire spam lol, going for nearly 3k DPS from just burn alone, don't even need to aim.
i mean it's only 15% more mod generation... you would do more dps by not using the ring
@@frottery yes but 15% flat mod increase per tick from the burn is VERY VERY VERY noticeable vs not having it...meaning you'll lose a significant amount of DPS not having it. Yes the damage per tick will do slightly more with a damage ring, but DPS wise it's going to be less.
I am using this ring with Enigma and the Archon archetype since a few days. The level 10 Archon ability plus all the mod modifiers are crazy.
This is another build where Enigma can be influential, as ANY elemental damage generates mod power. So naturally the chain lightning gun can generate power like crazy just doing what it does naturally. Which also synergizes well with the ring that gives 10% over 10s as you will never not have a mod ready to use.
Enigma with a plasma rifle with shock shot and big mod power with shock amulets and shock rings/ archon. You melt folks
The acid SMG is going to be frigging nuts with this as well......
I don't have the White Pawn Stamp or Cataloger's Jewel yet but I already have the other two. Would the Shiny Hog Lure be a good alternative in any way? What other rings or amulets would help with Mod generation?
Is cube gun shoot elemental damage ? I wanna use it for this build.

The AR-47 benefits better from Overflow imo. Pair it with Enigma and you got tons of shock damage. Slap on the ring of malevolence and the shock device amulet for 20% shock damage and 50% overloaded damage (overloaded is so nice cause it almost always applies with shock damage)
This works amazing with Hot Shot on secondary weapon and Nightfall as primary. You can just spam between hotshot rounds and Dreadwalker.
enigma is a better secondary with nightfall than hot shot for its multi target

@@marcuswilliamsominuusambie8968 im using it and one mag of enigma loads up nightfall mod - the nightfall mod is ridiculous. pair it with the gunslinger skill and you have insane dps with lifesteal

I found the ring in Morrow Parish randomly so im guessing it have chance to drop while in that region
I was kinda hoping they would add an item that reduces mod generation and/or increases skill cooldowns but allows them to charge while active
Why? We already can charge mods while they're active.

This is even better with the Archon class, main perk generates 3 mod per second and adds 100% mod dmg at lvl 10, for even faster generation and dmg

Holy shit, I didn't realize you could still generate mod power while the mod was still active! This changes everything lol! Def slapping that ring on to replace my 200% MP from healing ring.
I also run the "Energized Neck Coil" amulet which just makes this absolutely nutty.

Can't wait till we eventually find out how to open that red labyrinth door and get the archon archetype(mod power class) so many mod rings and I feel like I don't want to use them yet

So I got this ring in Lossom as well, but I think it might be a random drop (just started my first run in the palace area of Lossom, don't know what the end boss of that one is.
I've always wanted to make the acid gun mod infinite, this could probably do it hopefully
yep the ring drop in lossom ans yes its a random drop
I think this might be some kind of bug. Because it doesnt work on every weapon (Bolt Driver for example) and I doubt that its intentional to have a mod up before its exhausted. I might be wrong and I hope so because it feels great to play. Nice find!
Thats interesting. I wonder how well this would work with the tentacle mod + the buff which gives you bullvark for each summon you have. Dont know if that buff was from an archetype or a ring/amulett though, sorry :/
It does, is from a ring, i also use the harmony mutator
Yeah a ring with a max of 3 stacks fun fact the Engineer turret Is also a summon when placed (not carried)

I imagine it probably will get patched though because normaly you are not supposed to charge one mod in the background while it is still in effect
the archon deals 50% more mod damage from its first passive, when you use it as a main archetype it has 100% mod generation on mod use, it's pretty broken tbh

You should use the lmg or the Chicago typewriter. Both have a higher rpm which In my opinion helps with dps I’m hitting Atleast 1500 dps with my lmg build and that’s on a challenger-sentinel build
I also tried that little trick/bug yesterday, but it only works at the Shooting Range 😢 Not in the Dungeons

Nice!!! I wanted to make an LMG build with infused bullets or a powershot sniper build. Eventually I went with toxic dmg because of +15% Crit.Change. I do not know which classes combo very well for that. Seen Gunslinger+Hunter or Engineer+Gunslinger. Anyone got different proposals?
alchemist and Medic. both have damage increases which applies to all damage
