Went to my first IPSC style match at my range today. Wasn't official, just a practice. Don't have my black badge course yet though. I had no safety or procedural violations, didn't hit any no shoots and didn't have any misses. Was shooting classic major, my 1911. Super fun!!
For IPSC can you run a mid ride holster platform? I normally run a safariland mid ride shroud at about the same length down as the holster set up you have in this video. Though mine does have the inner leg strap as well.
No they must be at hip level, and in certain divisions like production, they must be set back at the hip bones at the very least. In Open Division you can have them anywhere on the belt that you like.
I have my RPal and would love to get into this sport but the way Trudeau is going after our guns I don’t know if it’s even worth it nowadays because it sounds like hand guns will be banned soon 🤷🏼♂️
@@FreeWhiteNorth your video has helped me gain some knowledge as I’d like to get started in IPSC. I got my RPAL a week before the handgun freeze and I bought my first two handguns a couple days before the freeze as well. I’m buying my gear right now and I can’t wait to take my black badge course:) great content!
Thanks for the info! This is why I moved from Canada to Texas.

Nice video :) Very helpful for a beginner like me. How many magazine holders you would recommend to start with? 4? Or do i need 6?

Can mags be carries on a chest rig?

Hopefully not! Do it while you can, get a cheap gun for a few hundred and get started.
This is what they are hoping for. Buy lots of guns and never relinquish your freedom to the deranged mob. Even if they are just "following orders".

As an American, find it insane that there is a class to learn to draw from a holster... good lord
Some countries like to make sure that people are capable of being safe before letting them walk around with loaded guns on their hips.
@@iamme625 I can understand that, but lump drawing for a holster in with handgun 101 or something
I guess you can't do IPSC with a revolver eh?
Absolutely you can, just a different division that I participate in. Most people compete in Production, at least as a starting point
I feel bad for ppl in Canada with their stupid hun laws
