Freddie would always show his backside to the audience at their concerts, it was his way of saying to their former manager Norman Sheffield “Kiss my Arse!” The band owed money to their crew and lighting guys while Sheffield was swanning around in a brand new Rolls Royce and building a swimming pool. Freddie was not happy. Never piss off Freddie. Another diss track about the same manager is Flick of the Wrist. I suggest you do the lyric video for that one too. It’s just as cutting
They were signed to a production company. When one showed up with a new rolls royce and they were living in squaller Freddie was like here you go! If this album hadnt worked Queen would have probably broke up they were in debt. They got a proper manager and the rest..history
Lil, I think you meant to write squalor?....Norman Sheffield was the name of that manager.he’s not mentioned by name in the song, but he knew it as about him...he tried to sue them ....but he got his arse hand to him n court🤣😂🤣
When Norman Sheffield died in June of 2014, Queen's official UA-cam page released the song on their channel of September of 2014. Brian May and Roger Taylor most likely did this as the last middle finger to rub salt in the wound. That was 100% intentionally done on purpose.
So many of my friends only know the Queen songs played on the radio. None of those Queen songs are in my TOP 10. Death on two Legs is classic Queen--so incredible
Thanks, G&T - yep - one piece of advice back in the day would have been "don't piss off Freddie" - lol -- before this one, they had a song called "Flick of the Wrist" -- check this one: ua-cam.com/video/mrApaXj5QmA/v-deo.html
Brian was concerned about how vicious the song was, but the rule within Queen is, who writes the song gets their way. But Brian was pretty concerned about it for a while until he got used to the idea.
Later Queen took full control over themselves, they incorporated Queen, they controlled the production of their music, they controlled how their music was mixed, all they needed was a engineer. Queen members were very intelligent, all college graduates. John Deacon (bassist) over saw the money, every dime spent had to go through him. Freddie in concerts made sure he gave the old managers and press his kiss my a** salute. Lol
They never took profits if ever made from concerts, all the money was put in to the next tour, it wasn't until the A Kind Of Magic tour did the turn a big touring profit.
The Dreamers Ball, live in Paris. Did you know Brian Brian May and his father made his guitar when he was a teen. From an old mantle,a tabletop, a bar from an old backpack, and things from his mother’s sewing box. The members of the band all had degrees. Roger Taylor went to school for dentistry, then biology. John Deacon had a top level electric engineer. Freddie had a degree in graphic design. Dr Brian May is a astrophysicist. And has associated with NASA. So these guys worked hard in all they did. John designed a special sound speaker, which is still associated and well known as John Deacon s design. Check out one of Rogers pices about Freddie’s passing. It’s called (say it’s not truer) I believe. Look under Rogers list
The intro to this song is iconic … similar to a movie mystery!! Starts off kinda happy & normal then the music veers off-key suggesting that there’s something not normal going on! 😬 “Was the fin on your back part of the deal? SHARK”. So awesome!! 🦈🦈
I don't know why but I really like your emotion on this song. When I first heard it, I was 14 or something and the guitar sounded out of this world and liked it very much, even though it was about the hatred towards one person and I could not understand the lyrics at all at that stage.
I just reacted to three songs in one and the middle song was "flick of the wrist". So much respect for standing up for themselves in an industry made to be used.
man, you did a hot reaction, you're hot as hot as the song's lyrics, nor shy neither doubt to say "mf" anyway, you're pure and original, just like most people do in the same situation, I like it, indeed
Freddie said it: "I was changing lyrics every day, trying to get it as vicious as possible. I was a demon for a few days."

Sewer rat decaying in a cess pool of pride.
Best lyric ever

@@josephinemonahan915 I was voice texting so that's how it ended up LOL
Who else now has "I go off to work on Monday morning" in their head?
A strong diss song by Freddie. Brian thought the song was too much, but Freddie did it.
Don`t never piss Freddie! Thanks for that!

Haha savages
@@GTReactions saying that, Brian May did say their was no hard feelings between them after he found out that he had died
And Brian said that after a few years, he didn’t want to play this bc of the lyrics

My personal favourite is its late

They had a ton of great songs. Quite a variety. Welcome to the fan club.
One of my favorite bands ..love it love everything about them...Rip Freddie ...amazing reaction happy Sunday lovely much love and God bless x
The reason Freddie slaps his backside at a lot of concerts came from this song to their bloodsucking EX manager.
Never piss off Freddie 😂

Great reaction to what has always been one of my favourite Queen tracks ❤
still one of my most favourite intros to any song
This song is a wild ride from start to finish.
Queen good band Mercury best voice rock
Great Reaction ...loved it!

Freddie could really write those lyrics.
It’s said that every time Freddy mooned the audience he was really saying kiss my a$$ to his former manager Norman Sheffield.
A Night at the Opera. Best album ever by Queen in my opinion!
In the mid-70s, Queen hooked up with John Reid (Elton John's manager at the time). The one they are singing about was before this period.
Moral: Don't piss Freddie off!!!
Flick of the wrist is similar on the sheer heart attack album.
But slightly toned down (and a bit more obscure) as it was released while under the management it was aimed at.

I always imagine the Pterodactyls starting to zoom around looking for rats at 1:41!
Diss track!
I think "flick of the wrist" was a forerunner to this ..its to the Sheffield brothers their rich managers
I just reacted to three songs in one and the middle song was "flick of the wrist". So much respect for standing up for themselves in an industry made to be used.
@@GTReactions I was very lucky ...I saw them 4 times good memories thanks 😊
Wow! I love this music! I never hear this!😊😍✌
An early DIs track ;)

A little witty ditty. Yep, Queen has quite a repertoire of songs that surprise folks.
Watch it live
Please do DEAD ON TIME by Queen (speed metal) ⚡️⚡️⚡️
This is to the management company who were screwed the group they had hits and were still living on nothing
I would like to dedicate this song to Joe Biden!
😆👍
You would enjoy Queen LIVE
It’s so much better❤️
