CBS network Joker's Wild retired players who won one Joker's Jackpot(three games), and later retired players who hit $25K, as that was the network limit at the time(1972-75). Joker aired on WCBS from Sep 1981-Sep 1984. Tic Tac Dough was also on WCBS NYC in 1983-84, and they too had to tell a few players that season who won over $50K than they could only keep $50K, but they didn't retire any champions.

And because of this, Jack Barry started to shop TJW (and Tic Tac Dough) to NBC, which didn't have a cap on winnings at that time (and of which, "Hot Potato" became the first Barry & Enright on the NBC Television Network since the Quiz Show Scandals in the 1950s).
I to love this show growing up little did I know that the Host Jack Berry was the guy who host a show called 21- years before .21 was the game show that was involved in a national scandal where it was revealed that game shows are fixed RED Flag but I liked watching game shows cause they tested my wits Jokers Wild was one of them.
