Extremely unique, she sounds like a very familiar country singer we can all relate to, but at the same time she sounds like no one before or after, that makes her truly perfect.
Almost sounds like autotune to me.
This song is over 40 years old now. But I love this version. Lionel has fantastic longevity and Shania is gorgeous and talented.

Beautiful. Played at my wedding June 1984 💞 This is the first time I’ve seen or heard this rendition of it.
We would be celebrating our 33 year wedding anniversary but he passed away this past October 2021. I am going to spend the weekend at a Lodge with a room overlooking the lake to celebrate by myself. He is still with me just not physically. I always told him that if he passed away before I do to send me a sign that he is okay. About three weeks after he passed away, I received a quarter and a dime from 1989 in my change at the post office. That was the year we got married! Just last week when I was on hold with an insurance company the song "Get Ready" started to play. It played for a few seconds before a representative came on the line. That was the song that was playing when we met in 1988 when I asked him to dance! He has sent me many signs to let me know that he is still here with me. He was and always will be my ENDLESS LOVE. Our love is eternal. I will meet him again in heaven someday. You can see some of his videos on youtube. He was a local celebrity here in Nashville known as the NASHVILLE CLOGGER. I MISS HIM EVERYDAY BUT KNOW THAT HE IS IN HEAVEN WATCHING OUT FOR ME!
