    I cannot tell you how much I loved this idea! This is something I'm going to start working on, STAT! And, I love that you mentioned masturbating as something to do just for yourself because it feels good. I think so many people gloss over self-pleasuring as a self-loving activity, even though it is, quite literally, as well as figuratively, lol. Seriously though, self-pleasuring can remove so much blocked up energy, and get you feeling so much better in your own skin. I wish people talked about it more! Especially for women... men seem to have no problem doing this when they want to, but for some reason women always feel uncomfortable talking about this idea as something useful, as well as pleasant.

      Haha I’ve been a proponent of masturbation forever! I totally agree, it’s good for us on so many levels! 😁👍

    Such a shame that you don't have your blog public anymore. I would've loved to check the activity list out since 78 activities is.... about 50 too much for me to come up with :')

    This is a brilliant idea! I do keep lists (like how to ground during dissociation) and then I forget the list exists. This sounds like something that might connect to more synapses in the brain and might be more accessible in those times or high anxiety times. I'm so glad you're doing this series. I'm going back to rewatch this week. Thanks, Katey. xx

    • @KateyFlowers
      @KateyFlowers  7 років тому

      I can sympathise with you in this! I struggle with dissociation, depersonalisation/derealisation, and it can be so hard to focus enough to think about what to do! I have my more intense mindfulness exercises (face in ice water! Bite on a lemon!) for when it gets bad, but for other times, I find this exercise so useful, so I hope you do too! ❤️

    This is a fantastic idea will definitely be doing my own list so thankyou :) for now, I chose a couple of cards (recently purchased the wild unknown, still getting to grips with it) anyway I used your list and got the emperor and the son (Knight) of Pentacles.... Which is interesting because I have to host an open pta meeting at my kids school tomorrow, I'm absolutely bricking it, feeling so disorganised and anxious but picking these cards in relation to your list just made me laugh! Thanks again, Katey, yet another ace video :) xxxx

    Ma carte du soir : le 1 d'épée. L'activité 'bienveillance' liée à cette carte : une méditation sur l'élément air, autrement dit, respirer!
    Eng : the ace of swords came tonight so my self-care activity will be a meditation about the element of air : some deep breathing.
    Clever ideas has usual & happy 3 of pentacles Katey ☺🙌

    Fantastic idea! The time put into thinking about all the activities for each card is well worth the payoff of not having to worry later.
    There was a Batman comic, which I forget the name of (Batman goes into Arkham Asylum to defeat the Joker, who has taken over), where the nurse gave Two-Face a pack of playing cards so that he had more options than the yes-no/black-white ruling of the double-headed coin. This activity reminded me of that... Not saying we’re loonies (though the Cheshire Cat reminds us that “we’re all mad here”), but the idea of a variety of choices to get us out of a fight-or-flight (breakdown) mentality is really useful, especially when we feel powerless.
    Thanks for another awesome video! 💖

    This is a great idea!
    In all honesty? I'm stuck when it comes to tarot. I have such a beautiful deck and worked with it for a while but I grew tired of the constant negativity I was pulling. They weren't uplifting or empowering. So I switched over to oracle cards and used them for daily reading. I use the Messenger Oracle that I found through your channel and I love love love them so much! I'm always mesmerised by the pictures and all the details. I would love to give my tarot deck a new chance and really open up to it but then again I pulled the "worst" cards. Is it the universe telling me something, or is it me who attracts the negativity?
    Any tips and help is really appreciated! I feel stuck when it comes to tarot. I would rather love to work with instead of abandoning them.

    • @KateyFlowers
      @KateyFlowers  7 років тому +2

      Ooh very interesting question there, Kristina! I’m not sure I know the answer, and perhaps there isn’t one. It sounds like your oracle cards are working for you, which is awesome. If you did really want to get back into your tarot cards, I suppose there are a few things you could try. The first is finding the empowered, proactive message of the negative cards. All cards can be read in so many ways, and some of my favourite cards are cards like the Ten of Swords! Another option could be using your tarot along side your oracle, which might help balance out those more negative cards and make them easier to digest and approach productively. Alternatively, you could try cleansing the deck. Many people believe the cards can absorb negative energy, so cleansing and clearing might help there. And of course, there are the possibilities that you mentioned of either to universe trying to tell you something or something similar, but that is hard for me to say. I suppose the only way to know is for you to really do some thinking about whether this is true for you or not. But give those other things a go as they feel appropriate, and see if that helps! Xx
