I've taken UX courses (Design) from CareerFoundry and got my Google UX Certification last year but I support myself by being a content writer-mostly with tech clients. UX writing seems like a natural transition so I'm thinking of taking this course.

Is being a non-native English speaker a limiting factor when applying for UX writing jobs? I'm Spanish, with a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpreting, now working and living in English for the past 4-5 years. I'm looking into transitioning to UX writing, but I don't see myself coming back to Spain to work there. Thanks a lot for all the insightful content you post :)
Hey Bob, great question. The answer is yes, but I would wait until we release our UX writing certification in a couple of months. It's much more aligned. Both will help you tremendously on the job as there's a lot of overlap.

Figma is the most important tool. You'll spend a significant amount of time collaborating with designers.
