Hi Emma, I just wanted to say I’ve watched so many of your videos recently. My head hasn’t been functioning properly and I’ve been battling my mental health. Your videos have been a ray of sunshine when I was hanging over a dark hole. Thank you Emma I think you saved me from months of misery 🧡🧡

☺️☺️ so glad I’ve helped. I suffer from anxiety myself and making these videos give me the purpose and strength I need to overcome it (most of the time!). So lovely to know I’m helping others too, so thank you for your comment. It means so much to me 🥰💕💕

Plot is looking great, well done. I’ve just won best local allotment in my village in Somerset, so chuffed. I, like you, really enjoy the physical work at the plot.

Hi Emma , i love watching your videos it makes me feel much better to know there are female plot holders out there. At my allotment,im the only woman there and inexperienced and have 2 small kids. Sometimes i feel like give up because all i do is weeding. But i feel good when im there and see some of my plant doing its own thing. Like you said you have plans for you compost area for next year which is the same idea to me that i could do better than this year with the plan for the next season. Looking forward to see more of your videos

Emma, thanks for informing me about Brussel sprouts. Your sunflower…Don’t call him deformed 🌻 he’s special. No frogs yet 🐸 next year then. Your corn is sweet. You have such a variety of plants. You make me want to expand. Thanks for sharing your garden with me! Take care ❤!

Hi, I put a bunch of watercress from the supermarket in my pond, it has grown well and has white flowers, I think it helps keep the water clear.

The plot is looking fab! Will you show us where the boundaries are at the back and the side, and let us know if you have any plans to cultivate the remainder? X

I have a dead bed, everything I planted in it dies, so I put a Perspex greenhouse I was given over it, and grow things in pots which is working. I think your sunflower is a miracle one, it’s done so well.
It would be good also to link each years months videos together so you and us can see the difference. Your plot is amazing I love it, I’m trying to base mine on yours not there yet but I love my plot too xx

That little robin is so sweet! I had a kookaburra dive bomb for a worm when I was bent over while digging the other day - it came so close to me that I felt and heard the whooshing of its wings and it landed about 2 feet away from me. Let's just say I nearly produced some unexpected fertiliser LOL! They've got a pretty scary looking beak but are actually very gentle and quite relaxed around people. Lovely tour Emma, and yes, I have my ugly beds too. Cheers from Sydney!!

I leave self sown borage all over my plot. Bees & other pollinators love it. And calendula too only pull it up if it’s in the way. Always plenty. So so pretty Good to compost too

It is best to wait until your rhubarb plant is well established before forcing as the process takes a lot of energy from the plant that needs a bit of time to recover from

I love porridge but I never knew you could grow it in your garden and it's so expensive in the shops. I noticed you're quite heavy handed Emma, It's like 'oh look here's my rhubarb it's doing so well, hang on while I just snap the stem while I'm checking it out!' 😅

My plot looks a lot like yours Emma. I think I have more weeds though 😂😂 I've had a pond for 3 years, nothing at all in it, then suddenly this Spring my daughter and I were looking at the pond flowers and we spotted a newt. Couldn't believe it. Don't give up hope or get some spawn from another pond on your site next Spring.

Im in SE Northumberland 3 miles from the east coast. Had so much rain in July beans are growing well. Too many slugs tbh but I just put em on my compost heap - put them to work No blight on toms or potatoes so that’s a bonus got cabbage swede but pumpkins and squash seem real small. Uchiki kuri squash will do okay cos they’re fast small little darlings 🤞

Hi Emma, Your plot's producing well this year. Why don't you ask around for some tadpoles next spring? Your parsnips look promising, as does your rhubarb. Keep the rhubarb well weeded, it doesn't like sharing space. Well done you.

It all looks beautiful! 😍 Everything is starting to look a lot more tired here now! I really want to learn what I can plant this month as things start to finish and the beds all begin to empty! Will keep an eye out to see what/if anything you are planting in the coming months! Sprouts and parsnips for Christmas dinner will be amazing! 🎄🎊
