Corrected ver: Burn my effigy, I will always stand on my two feet, And be unafraid. I love the way you hate me, Like lead in your lungs, Vilify my every single word. Do you believe everything you're told? I’ve got a feeling you’ve been selling me out. I never bought it! I never wanted for you to be so cynical. Your disposition is a foot in the grave. We're never honest! I never wanted for you to celebrate when you get led astray. Talk to me discretely, Keep your secrets close. There’s no one left to trust out here, When you need them the most. Do you believe everything you're told? Oh, a disciple, I was built to walk this earth alone, And learn how to forgive myself again. You won't win. With all your hate and all your lies, It will come as no surprise when you get lost, Among the weak. When you're falling out of reach, So tell me now. Do you know, What it is to fall, And get right back up every time? Do you know how to let go? Burn my effigy, I will always stand on my two feet, And be unafraid. I’ve got a feeling you’ve been selling me out. I never bought it! I never wanted for you to be so cynical. Your disposition is a foot in the grave. We're never honest! I never wanted for you to celebrate when you get led astray.
All of their Albums are actually on big story too! Would be worth going back to listen to the full story. All of the music is phenominal. We had to wait two extra years for this album!
Found out about Eidola just a couple days ago. Bought Eviscerate and loved it so much that I bought The Architect and um yeah they jumped into my top 5 favourite bands immediately.
throwing it back here... sometimes the vocals remind me of the album "guidebook for sinners turned saints" - those who know, know. - NONETHELESS - this is incredible man, incredible
This has a bit of that old school theatrical post-hardcore sound in the choruses. Reminds me a lot of Closure in Moscow in a few parts. Does anyone know who does the backing female vocals in the bridge?
Just found this band recently. This album absolutely FUCKS. Reminiscent of Hail the Sun, DGD, and Saosin. Killer guitar playing, excellent vocals, top notch production. Really good stuff.
These guys remind me of another band I absolutely enjoy called Artifex Pereo. Really glad to discover this. Seems a bit different for Rise as well, but I'm here for it. 🍻
“I was built to walk this earth alone, and learn how to forgive myself again” this hits so hard. Love it
Favorite song of the album so far, gritty yet groovy
It's almost absurd how this song is perfect, dear God
On god, if they played the chorus again after the second verse, it would legitimately be perfect

this and the one featuring Jon Mess are fav songs from this album for sure!!!
Those and Forgotten Tongues are easily the best
I'm so in love with Andrew's voice
Same here man….sigh😅
That chorus is definitely my favourite on the album
I haven't really heard these guys before - but I will definitely look out for them in the future! Brings me back to my teens
Check out their older stuff. Definitely worth it.
@@quietri0t Fully agree! To Speak, To Listen is one of my favorite albums.
All of their Albums are actually on big story too! Would be worth going back to listen to the full story. All of the music is phenominal. We had to wait two extra years for this album!
@@Stowens93 oh cool, thanks!
@@TheButterflyChaos I should actually clarify I think this one is apart of the story. I know the first three are definitely connected.
Best song on the album, hands down. But did AI transcribe the lyrics? The amount of typos are crazy for this coming straight from the label.
Finally… the best song ever created…
And here I thought nothing could be better than Counterfeit Shrines :D Love this track!
01:43 Amazing.
The best
I think this is easily my favorite Eidola track now
it's right up there!
Yeah, for me its Mutual Fear, Caustic Prayer, then Counterfit Shrines
Found out about Eidola just a couple days ago. Bought Eviscerate and loved it so much that I bought The Architect and um yeah they jumped into my top 5 favourite bands immediately.

Bruh.
This is everything I want to say to my ex-wife.
Its been 13 years. Thank you.
Emarosa vibes at the start. Song is 🔥
DOES ANYONE ELSE HEAR THE LITTLE TRIANLGE CHIME AT THE CHORUS AT 1:02?????
This song hits!! Also in the lyrics, I believe is stand on my two feet, not feel.
Getting some Johny Craig feels in this song.
the bridge is so fxxking catchy!!!
this song reminds me a lot of Dance Gavin Dance and I like it!
The vocalist is DGD's touring guitarist
I know, that's my point
Fantastic.
This is my favorite song off the new album!
This whole album smacks me horizontally sideways.
I got a feelin you've been sellin me ouuuuuut
This has a bit of that old school theatrical post-hardcore sound in the choruses. Reminds me a lot of Closure in Moscow in a few parts.
Does anyone know who does the backing female vocals in the bridge?
If I'm not mistaken it is Andrew's wife? There is also a segment around 2:45 on Empty Gardens where she has a spot as well
Yep, getting some real First Temple vibes from this track in particular.
Amazing song, fucking amazing album - I need to see them in concert ASAP
Soooo goood
This song is fucking underrated. Pure solid!!
This song is fucking spectacular. Hard to think of another song off the album that I like more
why is this album so good

aperion
Can we get a drum cover of this please
🔥🔥🔥
I really like this one 🔥
I swear it sounds like a Craig Owens feature on this one. Loving the album
I like it
Best Alternative
CRAZY
YOOOOOOOO
Wow a song that actually sounds fresh. Not more periphery wannabes
Sick
Someone please tell me what effects are used on the lead guitar part
No idea but just wanna say I can't stop listening it sounds like almost an accordion or something so sick
Sounds possibly like reverb on top of some kind of multivoicer. Or maybe a pitch shifter?
The soothe sayers have played their roles, it's time for us to follow suit. Proper opposition.
Fucking awesome song!

LVNDMARK brought me here
Why do i get Shrezzers vibe especially the verses and the bridge, anyone agree?
Who is dat female background vocalist or are my ears playing tricks on me???
If I'm not mistaken it is Andrew's wife? There is also a segment around 2:45 on Empty Gardens where she has a spot as well

4th uwu rawr
Fire the guy who wrote the lyrics in the bio 😂😭
This song is sick.
