If I use a wordpress website for my front end and whmcs for my back end and do not change my whmcs template and connect the two through links does that reduce clients trust in the business?
It will only impact the most demanding of clients. Also, you may not want to host this subset of clients given the extreme effort required in trying to satisfy this subset without ever accomplishing it.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and advice, im just starting out myself but mainly use wordpress for clients, as for my hosting site its coming challenging and using whmcs. I have no understanding of CSS. (some html) so its making my limitations of creating a look/feel for the platform. Did you automate your business from the start? or did people call you to get setup manually? etc?
Thanks for your question Gareth. When JixHost first started, we manually setup everything as we wanted to scale costs according to growth. As time went on, we needed automation and did so accordingly as our budget allowed. The idea is to never spend more then you profit so scaling is paramount. If you start with a handful clients, you do not need any automation nor will you have a budget to do so.
JixHost Thank you for replying, how did you manage your payment plans in the beginning? As now I like the idea of whmcs for auto billing etc so I don’t have to worry once its setup.
@@garethslade1229 In the very beginning we only used "PayPal Subscribe" buttons on our website. If we would get an email from PayPal for a new subscription or a cancellation, we would manually create or suspend an account at the end of its billing cycle. It was a super manual but super cheap and effective way. Since it was a low client count, it was not that difficult to do.
JixHost Tank you for replying to my questions. Huge help and now planning on using just whmcs stand-alone it offers more as a platform instead of a Wordpress and keeping them separate.

Hello, Great video! Thank you for all the tips. I have gone to various web hosting sites and they sell hosting for shared, VPS, & wordpress. Is it good to start with that variety of options?
Hi @JixHost, I stumbled upon your channel through youtube search looking to hear out opinions on starting a web hosting business. I would like to ask you why do you think small-to-medium web hosting businesses will prevail when we have cloud computing giants like AWS, Google Cloud, Rackspace, Microsoft Azure, etc. I mean is there a possibility that, given these players having rich and sophisticated automation tools and hundreds of services, the client would prefer on-demand/metered/pay-as-you-go type of hosting plans as opposed to a static, monthly rental servers.
Hi, yes the advantage going with a small to medium host is that you would recieve personal service, often customized solutions for your clients. That is something the big players are not willing to do. Understand that many clients do not know completely what hosting is and can offer them and would want someone who can help them so that they are comfortable.
@@WebsitePlex great I really want to get started asap. I have the skills but no direction to start. Can you please give me just a starting point of how to actually start the business?
First open a reseller account and register a domain with a web hosting provider such as JixHost, then start on your website using one of many free templates of your choice. Then open a PayPal account so you can accept payments. You're up and running now, this was our first setup years ago.
Thanks for the video, it's super helpful. I like the idea of building slowly. I would have to use forums as the way to sell hosting but I'm based in the UK. Should I concentrate on UK customers with a UK brand or is international better?
John, I'm glad you found my video helpful, thank you. I feel you should target internationally. If you host with JixHost, you could activate the included cloudflare and basically resolve from over 155 locations globally thus making location based hosting obsolete.
Why you recommend jixHost like is it your hosting company or someone else if it is someone else then why do not you recommend your company to us to open reseller account. i like you video and seriously the way you explained you nailed it .
I have been considering starting a web host business but was unsure with there being so many already if they was any more room in the market for another one. What's your opinion on this?
Hello Matthew, clients tend to be quite transient and host hop until they find one the resonates to their specific needs. By simply posting in web hosting forums you'll be sure to get clients. Just be smart and scale your costs, meaning start small and grow as needed this way theres no risk for you and always remain profitable.
Hello, I came across your videos while I was just surfing through youtube and was wondering if you could give me some advice on where or how to learn about this business as I have no knowledge what so ever on this. It's very interesting, thanks so much for any advice
I need your advice master. Actually, I am new in web platform I am working right now as a freelancer. Recently I have started to work on web development. I had started with one guy and my client is growing day by day. I don't want my clients to go for other web hosting companies. I have only right now 7 clients. Can I provide hosting to my clients? Thank you.
Hello Harsh Yes, you can. You can also offer to provide free support to your web customers IF they host with you only. This will give them a strong incentive to stay with you.
Great video and great insight. I was womdering do you think that it's still possible to make a living at web host reselling. I have a nice budget of working capital to get started, but didn't want to waste time nor money if this business model is overly saturated already. Your thoughts and insight would be appreciated. Thanks again for your time.
Yes, you can still make a living doing it as I do. As for working capitol, you don't need it. Theres no need to be in the red, even initially so keep your money in your bank and use the money your clients pay you to scale from a $6 reseller plan. I have another video on this channel on how I scaled JixHost with less then $100. Thank you for your question.
thanx for your all infromations . i want to know how you promote your company in forums?? . as you know lot of forums now they dont accept affiliate link . thanx

Now, I am also planning to start a web hosting as a side business so that I can refer my own hosting to my upcoming clients and I can earn a better profit too. How can I start? Please suggest. Thanks
Nowadays, advertisements with video tutorials on UA-cam has become a mean to attract a large number of users for hosting companies. Every big company has put 100s of video tutorials with their brand logo on UA-cam. I know a small sized company who bought video tutorials from demotiger and use it in it's knowledgebase and also on UA-cam. There are millions of viewers of tutorials on UA-cam.
How do you handle support regarding hosting ,means problems like site down ,or virus attack or hacking . Can a single person handles such problem's of 100000 clients . How many times such type of problem's could occur in 100000 clients .
Go with a cloud reseller account like what JixHost offers then scale to a dedicated server when and if needed. This way you can start without investing / risking alot of money on a dedicated server.
Hey i have just started my business last month but unable to get clients, am running Facebook ads also can you guide how can i get clients in the start?
Great video but please fix your whmcs, its either not running your crons, your server creds are not correct, or you have auto activation turned off. I just purchased a subscription from you but my account is still pending. You advertise instant activation so.....
We had temporarily turned off auto activation as we were receiving orders using fraudulent payments which were surpassing the automated checks. Your account has been approved/activated and the manual approval process we are now doing takes about 4 - 6 hours. Thank you for your patience.
Great video and great insight. I am from Malaysia and is interested in starting web hosting business. Is it possible for us to collaborate? I am very tight on budget especially on the Covid19 pandemic. This pandemic has open my eyes to venture into online business which will still go on despite the lockdown anywhere. However I had very limited understanding or knowledge on this subject and since you had the idea of do's and don't of the business, it would be great that we can work together and I dont have to reinvent the wheel.
Typically you should profit about 30 percent of all revenue. As with support, you have to be clear with your clients whats the scope of hosting support you'll provide. Many will assume because you're the host, you'll also be the webmaster as well.
What about domain names hosting and domain websites which GoDaddy was the leader at one time are you into this? Who offers the best domains resell package?
No satellite service is needed. It's a subscription based business, such like customers pay their cell phone provider mo they fornserveice they would also pay their webhosting bill monthly for their webhosting bill. If customers have or want a website, they will need webhosting service.
Thanks for the video, I have a small server at the moment and I'm curious how or if I can connect it to the rest of the internet to host my client's websites by myself on my own server for next to no cost. Edit: is this possible and if so how?
Hi, yes it is possable to do this if your internet service provider allows it, most dont. It's best to ask them about any restrictions they may impose before attempting it. Other then that dont expect great performance as the out bound data speeds are usually much slower then inbound for consumer internet packages.
Yes, but it's very expensive. It will e cheaper for you to lease a server from any datacenter that includes the bandwidth as they purchase data in large volumes with contracts so the per user pricing is substantially cheaper.
I hope you are aware that this means that your server will need to be online 99.9% of the time. You cannot go offline because of a blackout or you are moving house or the hard disk has crashed etc. It is not a simple task.
Good question Myra, In my experience Facebook did bring us several clients but was not the most effective platform. Remember, potential clients want to see stability and availability so everything helps together synergistically.
I think, that could be a good idea if -- you open an account just for the web hosting business -- - a place specifically where ppl can go, and customers can go as well. Maybe you can setup with paypal on there so existing customers can pay right from there ..... Like I said, it has possibilities .... Oh- - that is my opinion

@@WebsitePlex great I really want to get started asap. I have the skills but no direction to start. Can you please give me just a starting point of how to actually start the business?
@@WebsitePlex Thanks for replying!!
First open a reseller account and register a domain with a web hosting provider such as JixHost, then start on your website using one of many free templates of your choice. Then open a PayPal account so you can accept payments. You're up and running now, this was our first setup years ago.
@@WebsitePlex Appreciate it!
I take it that I'll find clients in forums and fb groups, possibly LinkedIn?
Thanks for the video, it's super helpful. I like the idea of building slowly. I would have to use forums as the way to sell hosting but I'm based in the UK. Should I concentrate on UK customers with a UK brand or is international better?
John, I'm glad you found my video helpful, thank you. I feel you should target internationally. If you host with JixHost, you could activate the included cloudflare and basically resolve from over 155 locations globally thus making location based hosting obsolete.
@@WebsitePlex Thanks. Another question for you - how do offer customer service for the periods when I am on holiday and cannot take calls?
@@johnhiggins2780 You would only do ticketing. Phone and chat support will help you get more sales, but are not mandatory.
I am interested in starting a website design and host reseller business. Do you believe the industry is over saturated?
I think it's still lucrative. You should offer your own website clients hosting. Both businesses will help one another synergistically.
did you use blesta or whmcs? because blesta seems almost useless.
I use WHMCS
If i want to buy reseller from you of 20gb space. How much can jt cost ?
Hi, $14.99/month
Why you recommend jixHost like is it your hosting company or someone else if it is someone else then why do not you recommend your company to us to open reseller account. i like you video and seriously the way you explained you nailed it .
Hi, I do own JixHost. If there's anything else I can help with or clarify please let me know.
Hi Joshua, I have a few videos on this channel on how to get started and what is needed to begin, continue and grow.
Hi sir
Could you please help me how can we market our websites to get mote clients
Hi, I have a few videos about that on our channel.
@@WebsitePlex thank you very much
I need your advice master.
Thank you for your question.
thanx for your all infromations . i want to know how you promote your company in forums?? . as you know lot of forums now they dont accept affiliate link . thanx
You promote on forums by making quality postings and responses. You're allowed a signature for each posting which includes your website link.
@@WebsitePlex im thinking to be a webhosting resseler and i have learn lot of things from you thanx for you. i have just one question how much can i post every day in forums to get clients??
You can post as much as you'd like, as long as it's not spammy. You should add value to your posts so people want you to be their host.
@@WebsitePlex thanx you very much
Hi sir,
I am truly impressed with the way you shared your experience. I have been developing websites from last 4-5 years and have 300+ worldwide clients. Now, I am also planning to start a web hosting as a side business so that I can refer my own hosting to my upcoming clients and I can earn a better profit too. How can I start? Please suggest. Thanks
I suggest you open a reseller account with Jixhost for about $19 a month. This is how we started.
Hi very detailed advice, but am interested in web hosting can you put me through?
If you like this channel and it's content, then you will like JixHost as your web hosting provider.
Hello sir, i need your help i want to know start hosting business need to create company first or not
We did not initially incorporate, however when we had established ourselves we proceeded to incorporate.
sir starting a web hosting business in 2021 is it worth it ?
Yes
Hi, a single person can not support 100000 clients. It's reasonable to say one person can support a few hundred though.
How many people are there at your company ?
I want to start my own web hosting business , so which one you recommend to choose VPS or dedicated server or linux cloud
Go with a cloud reseller account like what JixHost offers then scale to a dedicated server when and if needed. This way you can start without investing / risking alot of money on a dedicated server.
@@NN-cw1eu So which service you recommend and i will use namehero reseller Corporate WHMCS do you recommend me to use this plan or ?
@@WebsitePlex Thanks for the advice , please do you recommend me to use namehero reseller Corporate WHMCS do you recommend me to use this plan or ?
@@sondosa.9051 Use Jixhost and have your own whmcs, always have your billing software separate from the host.

Do you allow adult sites in the reseller program?
Yes, legal adult content is permitted.
Hey i have just started my business last month but unable to get clients, am running Facebook ads also can you guide how can i get clients in the start?
Hi, I have a few videos on this channel that will show you how without spending any money.
Do you think I can start a business now in server hosing?
are I am to late???
Yes, you can you're not too late. The hosting business evolves but the need is still there.
Is it possible I can call you and have a talk about this?
I am from Europe ( The Netherlands )
Great video but please fix your whmcs, its either not running your crons, your server creds are not correct, or you have auto activation turned off. I just purchased a subscription from you but my account is still pending. You advertise instant activation so.....
We had temporarily turned off auto activation as we were receiving orders using fraudulent payments which were surpassing the automated checks. Your account has been approved/activated and the manual approval process we are now doing takes about 4 - 6 hours. Thank you for your patience.
Keep the info coming
Thanks for the video!
If you have questions, feel free to post them in the comments area so we could all learn from them.
Do you have time to speak in person about this I’m trying to start my own web hosting and game server hosting business
It's best to ask or discuss in the comment section below so others can learn from our discussion as well.
i am from India . How many employees are there for you Now.? Good Info
Hi how much you made a month now ? How many people out there to handle 100000 website problem's .
Typically you should profit about 30 percent of all revenue. As with support, you have to be clear with your clients whats the scope of hosting support you'll provide. Many will assume because you're the host, you'll also be the webmaster as well.
your website is on wordpress ???
No, it's not wp
Thoughts on Godaddy Reseller?
It's better to go with a hosting provider like JixHost. As for Go Daddy, I would only use them for domain registration, not hosting.
What about domain names hosting and domain websites which GoDaddy was the leader at one time are you into this? Who offers the best domains resell package?
It depends who you want to give you support. GoDaddy is dine first domains but you'll get more complete support if you vuy them from your host.
How do those servers work?
Does those servers need satellite for higher data broadcasting?
And how do you earn money from clients data usage?
No satellite service is needed. It's a subscription based business, such like customers pay their cell phone provider mo they fornserveice they would also pay their webhosting bill monthly for their webhosting bill. If customers have or want a website, they will need webhosting service.
Whats your income from the website now?
I can't publically discuss its earnings as I may consider to sell the business.
Hello Sir, i like your videos, pls how can i reach you, i need to ask some questions.
How can I help you?
Thanks for the video, I have a small server at the moment and I'm curious how or if I can connect it to the rest of the internet to host my client's websites by myself on my own server for next to no cost.
Edit: is this possible and if so how?
Hi, yes it is possable to do this if your internet service provider allows it, most dont. It's best to ask them about any restrictions they may impose before attempting it. Other then that dont expect great performance as the out bound data speeds are usually much slower then inbound for consumer internet packages.
@@WebsitePlex ok, thanks, in that case, do you know of any ISPs that do allow it?
Yes, but it's very expensive. It will e cheaper for you to lease a server from any datacenter that includes the bandwidth as they purchase data in large volumes with contracts so the per user pricing is substantially cheaper.
Ok thanks! I'll keep doing research to find all of the budget options I have.
I hope you are aware that this means that your server will need to be online 99.9% of the time. You cannot go offline because of a blackout or you are moving house or the hard disk has crashed etc. It is not a simple task.
Is facebook marketing a good idea for web hosting business. Can we get clients out of it? Please advise
Good question Myra, In my experience Facebook did bring us several clients but was not the most effective platform. Remember, potential clients want to see stability and availability so everything helps together synergistically.
@@WebsitePlex Thanks alot
I think, that could be a good idea if -- you open an account just for the web hosting business -- - a place specifically where ppl can go, and customers can go as well. Maybe you can setup with paypal on there so existing customers can pay right from there ..... Like I said, it has possibilities .... Oh- - that is my opinion
@@Impulse_Photography I would agree.

@Jixhost thanks for such an informative video. I want to start hosting my customers websites by becoming a hosting reseller. But honestly what puts me off is not knowing how to integrate WHMCS, my website and the payment gateway/merchant account. I really get lost into what's is first. I could really do with a step-by-step tutorial in how to go about all this. Do you have any videos with such information? Thank you
@@juliocastilloz Hi Julio. Its not as complicated as you may think, you would add the cart links from whmcs to your websites check out buttons and add the payment gateway of your choice including PayPal to the admin section of your whmcs. If you want to do what I did, which includes a decent website and integrates whmcs nicely for you for around $100, this can be found here -> www.zomex.com/clients/aff.php?aff=827
I am thinking of joining GoDaddy reseller has anyone made any money from GoDaddy
My opinion is that it's not a good choice as it will be hard to compete given their higher prices.
Better join smaller/ medium level of hosting companies.
