Also the term snitches get stitches has evolved from a criminal generally trying to protect their criminal organization by intimidating any sort of witnesses into not talking meaning if you tell any law enforcement about my criminal doings you're going to be killed by one of my gang members or myself and it has evolved into any act of informing is now bad. It could literally be Hey I know that a friend of mine is getting cheated on by another friend of mine in a relationship I shouldn't tell my friend that they're being cheated on because that snitching and that's bad. I hate how this term that used to have originally formed from criminal origins of criminals trying to intimidate either witnesses or even fellow criminals into not snitching about certain goings on in their criminal organization to now it's just any active informing is seen as bad.
