Quality looks good, the design is good but retail is very watered down compared to years past. Fun to rip but rip with caution if you want to make a little bit of your money back. I just don't see the value again from Topps retail in Chrome. Nice looking inserts and cards but for $35 a blaster, it's just not a good value compared to $20 blasters in the past that had a much better chance at autos and parallels. Awesome job as always!!
I agree. The "Value Box" Seems like potentially the weakest format.

Ya these blaster prices have got to go back down… I’ve literally quit buying anything panini cause of it… almost twice the price, with less than half the hits… trash qc… just uhhggggg…..

Although these aren’t the best, at least from what I’ve opened, these are MUCH better compared to the 2022 blasters in terms of odds for autos and numbered cards.
Topps have done it with this product man. This box and their Platinum as well. My first box of this I hit a Rookie Auto, a Yellow Wave rookie, Wander Franco Pink (unfortunate) and a numbered card to 199, I believe it was. And lots of great rookies.
So Topps has my full attention

There's a lot of negativity surrounding this release (people upset about new parallels like the tacofractor). I love Topps chrome and I think this looks like an awesome release. I honestly think people take this too seriously, the new parallels seem cool to me! Thanks as always Stryker!🔥

I know this video is 3 weeks old but I’m a new member. It’s weird that u bought 10 boxes and didn’t get any numbered cards. I’m a pretty unlucky card puller and I got 2 numbered cards out of my first 2 blasters, then another in my 4th. I’m seeing a good pull rate from this release I’m happy with it. I love that you’re doing a Pc video, good to see breakers who are collectors as well. Great video!

I prefer the same images on chrome as flagship. There are lots of other images across other products but flagship and chrome share a photo usually.

Judging by your opening the QC looks alot better than last year! Pinks look vivid and clean vs last years as well!
Looks like they printed the hell out of it this year if no numbered cards out of 10 boxes and only 1 $5 auto. Guess I’ll stick to hobby and jumbo. Good to see the quality is better this year though.
I opened two blasters and I got 2 autos. Not the best players but this product has been a blast for me

Stryker, i preordered a jumbo chrome and im awaiting its arrival, there is a raw Bowman Platinum sterling trout auto of 25 with nice little patch for 600 at my lcs. Would you trade the jumbo chrome and see if he can lower the price? Im asking your 2 cents

This video put my luck into perspective, opened 2 blasters and got a buxton auto /50. Being from Minnesota I’ll take it.
Ouch. I thought there would be a lot more numbered cards in that many boxes at $35 a pop. Sepia's and Pink's are just a tick above a base card. Please let hobby stuff be better!
Pulling numbered cards out of chrome has always been pretty tough.

Striker, you’re great at doing this and being entertaining. I also appreciate the first look…because now I can skip this because of the lack of numbered cards just like I did with series 1. I don’t know why they decided retail has to have terrible iterations of the major runs but that’s fine I guess. I don’t have to buy it. I wish others would lay off so Topps might make this worth buying again.

Well from what I see, great cards. But 10 boxes 1 auto no numbered cards. Tells me that's why they took odds off packs too keep it more hidden away out of mind out of sight. I'm betting there is lime 60 million blasters out there
I love your hat, bro.. I'm sold with this product.. I'm so disappointed with Topps series 2, they are trash.. Only thing is good is that they got Alot of chase Card's. But, what good are they, if the Card's are trash. I'm calling Topps, Monday and see if I can trade my Topps series 2, for Topps chrome.. Because it makes no sense too me. They got licenses and Card's are trash. Donruss doesn't, and there Card's are better quality. It just doesn't make sense.
But, the product you just opened, is fire 🔥 too me.

I'd like to make a counter argument to the making your money spent on the $350 if I could. You hit an Adley Sepia which is great but how many boxes will have a card thats even worth the risk of grading? I've sent perfect cards in the past into PSA and gotten 7,8, and 9s. Chris Sewall aka Baseball Card Collector Investor Dealer just did a video where an Arenado 2013 Chrome Auto got a PSA 6 1st sub, a PSA 5 second sub then he sent to Beckett and it got a 9.5 GEM with a 10 auto grade. It's no longer economically feasible to play the mind games PSA plays imo. I will buy some Chrome to stash and some to open but I sure won't risk grading with the blatant POP report manipulation going on.
This is my issue with card grading…. It is left up to a human and humans are emotional and fallable… until it’s taken out of our meek hands I just can’t get behind it…

pretty messed up that these were shipped before street date. That isn't fair IMO, allows buyer to get a jump on sales of cards and set a price before product is even released.
Curious what you meant by sending the trout refractor to the upgrade shop?
He refers to getting cards graded as the "upgrade shop."

Ran into my local flea market card store owner and had a chat. Hes in his 60s and is disappointed in the whole idea of breakers. He explained to me how these guys just care about the money, not the enjoyment of collecting and pack opening...and its ruining the spprts card market lol. This was all after i suggested he start a youtube channel since he told me he had to resort to flipping pokeman cards to keep his shop running 😅
Ironic that the guy who owns a card shop and literally makes a living selling cards has a problem with people selling cards trying to make a living. I guess only HE gets to sell cards in a way HE sees fit eh?
I do like the look this year. I'm liking the insets. Hoping hobby boxes don't skyrocket if the blasters don't have the value.
Will be interesting to see the odds, since hobby boxes are currently only about 4 blasters and have the guarantied hits.

Cards look great, but def a set I will just watch people break. $35 for a blaster is too much for me when you just are not guaranteed anything. The parrallels look super nice though.
I have collected Bowman and Topps chrome for years - This year they want $60CDN for a blaster? I can't justify that! I'll wait until they end up in the bargain bins!
