Lvltc97, hope u take this in a positive way, not trying to be rude or nasty. THANK YOU for sharing video(2) of a cool parade. In the future, 2 suggestions: 1) dobt stand so close to the rigs when taping. Really can't see them so well, a few steps back would make a huge difference and improve the video. 2) if u do #1, at least part of this will be improved too. Being so close , the loudness of the sirens and horns overwhelmed the mic and u can hear the terrible distortion of sound . Being even a few feet further will make a huge difference. If it isn't enough on its own, use a tiny piece of scotch tape to PARTIALLY cover the Mic hole. Hope this helps :-)
Steve Barry, while appreciate your comments there are a few things that need to be noted. First this video was taken with an older digital camera that does not film in HD. Secondly, some of the distortion comes from UA-cam editing, when you look at the original version and the enhanced version you can tell the difference. This is something that happens to my videos on occasion, even more on my HD videos. Third, this video was taken by my son, who was 11 at the time and is learning how to photograph and video fire apparatus with me. He was unable to move back too far because you might notice the train tracks he was standing on. The main reason for having a UA-cam page was for my son and I to be able to look at that the videos we have taken, they are meant to be loud obnoxious. I would suggest that next time you want to comment, ask a few questions about the circumstances first.
