New Holland disc mower conditioners deliver fast, efficient forage

New Holland says it will redefine the disc mower conditioner with the introduction of its new Discbine PLUS Series.
The discbines made their first appearance earlier this year at the 2022 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa. The mower conditioner improves productivity, optimizes quality and preserves valuable feed nutrients, says Jordan Milewski, conventional hay tools marketing manager for New Holland.
The new machines also look the part, adds Milewski: “The Discbine PLUS models have bold, new styling and yellow accents to signify commercial-grade performance. They’re built with the same DNA, durability and superior quality that customers know and expect, but we’ve focused on enhanced cutting and swath controls for greater overall performance."
A key feature fuelling New Holland's enthusiasm is the machine's maneuverable centre-pivot tongue and standard swivel gearbox hitch that permit confident, fast operation and easy, trouble-free headland turns. “When it’s your crop on the line, it’s about easier harvesting, better yields and improved feed quality. These Discbines help customers check all three boxes,” Milewski says.
In this video, Milewski reviews the Discbine PLUS's key features, including a redesigned cutterbar for clean cutting and durability. Equipped with longer knives, the slimmer cutterbar also delivers a 30 percent lower cutting height, producing less down and tangled crops. For cleaner cutting in light or late-season crops, the reshaped rock guards enhance crop-to-knife engagement.
The Discbine PLUS Series features four different models with a range of cutting capacities and transport widths.
