It isn't homophobic if you don't agree with some people, it is following your guide. The one who created us all, God. Wheather you want to follow Him or not, that's your decision, and they can call us whatever they want, but they cannot prevent us from being with God. If they want to go that path, sure, they can go, but I will always know what is right and what is wrong.

For instance what differentiates a catholic from a protestant Is catholics believe salvation is obtained when one comes to christ and is then baptized whereas protestants believe that salvation is obtained when you come to christ even before you are baptized, tho you should still get baptized if you do truly love the lord. Catholics believe that the eucharist is literally the body and blood of christ and goes through a metaphysical state change when we take it whereas protestants believe it is only spiritually the bread and blood of christ, in the end both still take the eucharist. Catholics believe that the church has authority as well as the Bible, protestants think the church should have authority but only when it's authority doesn't contradict what the Bible says. Realistically they're menial and what matters the most if you're Christian is a few central beliefs. If you adjust one of these central beliefs then you're not Christian, it's why no denomination claims Mormons to be actual Christians.

Love how many assume Christians are homophobic. I was a production manager for a traveling theatre singing group pretty much half the talent was gay but I never 'hated' or berated them. Quite the opposite. Even invited a few to church.

The whole postmodern narrative about oppression and power-dynamics has made people believe that diagreeing with someone means you want them dead. We have lost our fundemental values as a society, which like it or not are primarily Judeochristian values, and this has sadly led many people being confused and vulnerable to destructive ideologies and degeneracy. As a Greek, it is sad to see this happening in America and the UK, and I am afraid that many cultural shifts that are happening to your countries will later happen in Greece because of the internet and entertainment media. @@georgetsoukalas1409 I already wrote this once and I don't feel like writing it again, so I'm just gonna give you the short version: When I was younger, I had always had some level of attraction to boys as well as girls, even from a very young age, but just because people perceived me as a boy, they expected me to only be attracted to and seek out girls, so I just played along with that. At the very beginning of last year, I caught myself being attracted to a visual depiction of a male character and immediately started questioning my sexuality before realizing I was pansexual. I would have realized this sooner, but a traumatic intimate experience caused me to repress my attraction to anyone other than girls for nearly a decade, and that realization resulted in me to having to deconstruct that repression from start to finish. This was before I realized I was a girl all along, but I digress. You're right, there is no definitive proof that sexuality is genetic, but then why do so many people have the same experience of always knowing they weren't straight, even as a child? Furthermore, is being heterosexual genetic? How do straight people know that they were always straight? The number of LGBTQIA+ people in general has only "skyrocketed" because of a massive increase in awareness, making closeted people feel safe to openly come out. Look up "graph of left-handedness". On the infamous purple one, just before the clear plateau of around 11.5-12% (of the 'actual number' of left-handed people), do you see the little sharp divot right before the huge increase? That was the point where teachers started to quit punishing kids for writing with their left hand. Prior to that, they would hit kids' hands/wrists with rulers until they wouldn't write with their left hand. What was wrong with writing with your left hand? They perceived it as demonic or a work of the devil. _I wonder where I've seen that before...?_
@@CharityApple07 Reading your experience I can see how homosexuality can possibly be beyond just lived experience, at least in some cases. But I am also reminded of the completely different cases of two childhood friends of mine. One used to have a girlfriend in middleschool and seemed to actually be into her, and the second actually liked the same girl as I did when we were 13, and would not stop talking about her (he did not even know I liked her too, and you can guess that it was a bit akward for me). Both of them came out as gay when we were around 16-17, and though I lost contact with the latter, the first guy remains a friend to this day. What I noticed sadly though once we got into uni, and he had to move to Athens for his studies (where he met other gay students and made friends with them), was that the more time he spent there, the more sexually perverted he would become, and the more alternative his clothing and style would be. I noticed this sexual perversion (expressing very lude details about their sex life, describing their "toys", seeking more and more novelty in their sexual experiences rapidly etc) during my uni studies in the UK. I dont know if this has to do with homosexuality, but I have noticed that every single homosexual I have met (maybe except the childhood friend I mentioned, who I dont see anymore, so I wouldnt know) is obsessed with sex. Regarding the left-handed phenomenon you mentioned, I dont think it is very similar to what we are discussing. There was no active representation of lefthanded people in every form of entertainment like we see today with gay people, nor was there an attempt to infuse an ideology that victimises lefthanded people in academia. Instead thats what we see today with LGBT. Also I dont see how they would consider lefthanded people to be devilish, but who knows maybe some people were stupid enough to think that. However I do see why many people today connect the LGBT movement with evil, considering their focus on altering the minds and bodies of children with school indoctrination and experimental hormone "therapies". Sorry but I dont buy it for a second that this movement is about "awareness" or "equality". Rather I think it is carefully promoted suddenly by almost every big company, entertainment media, educational institutions, and celebrity, and it went from "let us kiss in public" to "let us get married, even in a church", and then to "let us corrupt your children" real quick. Im not stupid enough to hate a person because of who they want to sleep with, but this madness has moved passed that. I dont think that most gays want to corrupt children, dont get me wrong. But I do think that the movement as a whole, even if some members of it dont realise it and dont actively condone it, is evil.

It sounds like your friend may have just been sex-obsessed, I hardly see any stories like this among gay people. Again, we're both going off of individual experiences, so actual statistics could be different between both of our own recollections. I can say for sure though that I was the same way in terms of childhood attractions versus adulthood experiences, many gay people are. I already pointed out how I used to think that I was just supposed to be a boy who exclusively likes girls, so I acted that way. For many other gay people, while their experiences can vary vastly, it usually can be boiled down to one of a few reasons: they intentionally hide their sexuality to keep themself safe, they don't realize their sexuality until adulthood/late adolescence after they've fully developed romantic and sexual attractions, or they just grow up and their sexuality shifts naturally. Again, though, personal anecdotal and observational data, so I could still be wrong. It's just what I myself most often see among gay people. Sure, there was no active representation of left-handed people as in intentional and blatant representation designed to show the lives of those people, but left-handed people are still in entertainment and media, you just may not notice because it's been normalized to be left-handed. Eventually, within the next, say, three decades, gay people will have the same amount of normalization and representation. I'd also argue that we see more representation for gay people in media at the current climate of demonization than the representation given for left-handed people around a similar time not only because media and entertainment are much more accessible and culturally-significant aspects of our modern society, but also because gay people are facing far more demonization, criminalization and dehumanization than left-handed people did. Gay people (and even just LGBTQIA+ people in general) are being murdered, criminalized, erased from history, invalidated, dehumanized, discouraged from their identity, etc., so much so that they were rounded up in camps in Nazi Germany. Left-handed people were slapped on the wrist or called weird, and at worst, accused of being possessed by a demon/a demon themselves. Well, they saw something that didn't fit their narrative of "the norm" and assumed religious reasons to scare people into being right-handed (despite it being impossible to rewire), much like a loud religious minority today that use accusations of the devil and demons to, well, demonize queer people and create a fear around their mere existence and just how they live their life peacefully (aka fear mongering). Okay, I don't know where you get your information from, but I'm gonna help deconstruct it all right now: • LGBTQIA+ people are not focused on "altering the minds and bodies of children with school indoctrination and experimental hormone 'therapies'," what benefit exists in that? ○ In school, children are merely taught that A) LGBTQIA+ people exist, and that B) _if_ they _happen_ to _end up_ being gay, bi, pan, ace, trans, enby, etc., that they then have support behind them and that it's okay to be whatever identity they _may end up_ being, i.e. that there's nothing "wrong" with them. ○ Children cannot receive hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as there are no active hormones to be replaced and no changes to take effect. The most medical treatment that children (moreso preteens and teenagers) are puberty blockers, which are completely harmless and fully reversible. They've been used for decades to treat diagnoses like precocious puberty, and in trans kids, they are used to temporarily pause puberty (hence their name) so that they may develop a better understanding of their identity _before_ they go through the permanent effects of puberty. After a certain amount of time and with the OK of every doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, endocrinologist and guardian involved (usually in later adolescence), they may then be provided with HRT and come off the puberty blockers to begin the opposite puberty, just at a later age than most of their peers. While HRT _is_ experimental, more data is soon to come as trans people are beginning to be able to live longer lives, on top of more people feeling comfortable to come out and consult their doctors to have access to the necessary healthcare like HRT or puberty blockers. • I can't tell if you are or aren't implying that pride or even the existence of queer people is a conspiracy thought up by multi-billion-dollar corporations, but I'll assume you're not. Companies 999 times out of 1000 only see vaguely-humanoid rainbow-painted bags of money when they look at queer people. They typically use pride as a protest and movement to act like they care about queer people in order to gain the validation of and karma points from the casual good person. It's all a marketing ploy for profit. That's not to say that pride itself or the LGBTQIA+ community have been shaped or influenced by those promotions. Hell, we actively condemn them. • Again, queer people don't want to "corrupt your children", what is to be had in somehow influencing children to, what, be a sexuality or gender identity they aren't? That's the last thing we want other people to go through, we understand the harm first-hand in not letting be who they really are or love who they really love. • I don't understand what you mean by "the movement as a whole, even if some members if it dont realize it and dont actively condone it", I've heard this sentiment a million times from homophobes and transphobes on Twitter (not saying you are one) and I've never understood it. Catholics believe that the eucharist is literally the body and blood of christ and goes through a metaphysical state change when we take it whereas protestants believe it is only spiritually the bread and blood of christ, in the end both still take the eucharist. Catholics believe that the church has authority as well as the Bible, protestants think the church should have authority but only when it's authority doesn't contradict what the Bible says. Realistically they're menial and what matters the most if you're Christian is a few central beliefs. If you adjust one of these central beliefs then you're not Christian, it's why no denomination claims Mormons to be actual Christians.

The whole postmodern narrative about oppression and power-dynamics has made people believe that diagreeing with someone means you want them dead. Its a trait they have accumulated because of either their family environment, their exposure to social media, their romantic experiences etc. There is no definitive proof that it is a genetically defined trait, and the fact that the numbers of homosexuals, especially among teens and young adults, has skyrocketed in the past 8 years show to show that it is probably a phsychological epidemic.

When I was younger, I had always had some level of attraction to boys as well as girls, even from a very young age, but just because people perceived me as a boy, they expected me to only be attracted to and seek out girls, so I just played along with that.
At the very beginning of last year, I caught myself being attracted to a visual depiction of a male character and immediately started questioning my sexuality before realizing I was pansexual. I would have realized this sooner, but a traumatic intimate experience caused me to repress my attraction to anyone other than girls for nearly a decade, and that realization resulted in me to having to deconstruct that repression from start to finish. This was before I realized I was a girl all along, but I digress.
You're right, there is no definitive proof that sexuality is genetic, but then why do so many people have the same experience of always knowing they weren't straight, even as a child? Furthermore, is being heterosexual genetic? How do straight people know that they were always straight?
The number of LGBTQIA+ people in general has only "skyrocketed" because of a massive increase in awareness, making closeted people feel safe to openly come out. Look up "graph of left-handedness". On the infamous purple one, just before the clear plateau of around 11.5-12% (of the 'actual number' of left-handed people), do you see the little sharp divot right before the huge increase? That was the point where teachers started to quit punishing kids for writing with their left hand. Prior to that, they would hit kids' hands/wrists with rulers until they wouldn't write with their left hand. What was wrong with writing with your left hand? They perceived it as demonic or a work of the devil. _I wonder where I've seen that before...?_
@@CharityApple07 Reading your experience I can see how homosexuality can possibly be beyond just lived experience, at least in some cases. But I am also reminded of the completely different cases of two childhood friends of mine. One used to have a girlfriend in middleschool and seemed to actually be into her, and the second actually liked the same girl as I did when we were 13, and would not stop talking about her (he did not even know I liked her too, and you can guess that it was a bit akward for me). Both of them came out as gay when we were around 16-17, and though I lost contact with the latter, the first guy remains a friend to this day. What I noticed sadly though once we got into uni, and he had to move to Athens for his studies (where he met other gay students and made friends with them), was that the more time he spent there, the more sexually perverted he would become, and the more alternative his clothing and style would be. I noticed this sexual perversion (expressing very lude details about their sex life, describing their "toys", seeking more and more novelty in their sexual experiences rapidly etc) during my uni studies in the UK. I dont know if this has to do with homosexuality, but I have noticed that every single homosexual I have met (maybe except the childhood friend I mentioned, who I dont see anymore, so I wouldnt know) is obsessed with sex.
Regarding the left-handed phenomenon you mentioned, I dont think it is very similar to what we are discussing. There was no active representation of lefthanded people in every form of entertainment like we see today with gay people, nor was there an attempt to infuse an ideology that victimises lefthanded people in academia. Instead thats what we see today with LGBT.
Also I dont see how they would consider lefthanded people to be devilish, but who knows maybe some people were stupid enough to think that. However I do see why many people today connect the LGBT movement with evil, considering their focus on altering the minds and bodies of children with school indoctrination and experimental hormone "therapies".
Sorry but I dont buy it for a second that this movement is about "awareness" or "equality". Rather I think it is carefully promoted suddenly by almost every big company, entertainment media, educational institutions, and celebrity, and it went from "let us kiss in public" to "let us get married, even in a church", and then to "let us corrupt your children" real quick.
Im not stupid enough to hate a person because of who they want to sleep with, but this madness has moved passed that.
I dont think that most gays want to corrupt children, dont get me wrong. But I do think that the movement as a whole, even if some members of it dont realise it and dont actively condone it, is evil.

It sounds like your friend may have just been sex-obsessed, I hardly see any stories like this among gay people. Again, we're both going off of individual experiences, so actual statistics could be different between both of our own recollections. I can say for sure though that I was the same way in terms of childhood attractions versus adulthood experiences, many gay people are. I already pointed out how I used to think that I was just supposed to be a boy who exclusively likes girls, so I acted that way. For many other gay people, while their experiences can vary vastly, it usually can be boiled down to one of a few reasons: they intentionally hide their sexuality to keep themself safe, they don't realize their sexuality until adulthood/late adolescence after they've fully developed romantic and sexual attractions, or they just grow up and their sexuality shifts naturally. Again, though, personal anecdotal and observational data, so I could still be wrong. It's just what I myself most often see among gay people.
Sure, there was no active representation of left-handed people as in intentional and blatant representation designed to show the lives of those people, but left-handed people are still in entertainment and media, you just may not notice because it's been normalized to be left-handed. Eventually, within the next, say, three decades, gay people will have the same amount of normalization and representation. I'd also argue that we see more representation for gay people in media at the current climate of demonization than the representation given for left-handed people around a similar time not only because media and entertainment are much more accessible and culturally-significant aspects of our modern society, but also because gay people are facing far more demonization, criminalization and dehumanization than left-handed people did. Gay people (and even just LGBTQIA+ people in general) are being murdered, criminalized, erased from history, invalidated, dehumanized, discouraged from their identity, etc., so much so that they were rounded up in camps in Nazi Germany. Left-handed people were slapped on the wrist or called weird, and at worst, accused of being possessed by a demon/a demon themselves.
Well, they saw something that didn't fit their narrative of "the norm" and assumed religious reasons to scare people into being right-handed (despite it being impossible to rewire), much like a loud religious minority today that use accusations of the devil and demons to, well, demonize queer people and create a fear around their mere existence and just how they live their life peacefully (aka fear mongering).
Okay, I don't know where you get your information from, but I'm gonna help deconstruct it all right now:
• LGBTQIA+ people are not focused on "altering the minds and bodies of children with school indoctrination and experimental hormone 'therapies'," what benefit exists in that?
○ In school, children are merely taught that A) LGBTQIA+ people exist, and that B) _if_ they _happen_ to _end up_ being gay, bi, pan, ace, trans, enby, etc., that they then have support behind them and that it's okay to be whatever identity they _may end up_ being, i.e. that there's nothing "wrong" with them.
○ Children cannot receive hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as there are no active hormones to be replaced and no changes to take effect. The most medical treatment that children (moreso preteens and teenagers) are puberty blockers, which are completely harmless and fully reversible. They've been used for decades to treat diagnoses like precocious puberty, and in trans kids, they are used to temporarily pause puberty (hence their name) so that they may develop a better understanding of their identity _before_ they go through the permanent effects of puberty. After a certain amount of time and with the OK of every doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, endocrinologist and guardian involved (usually in later adolescence), they may then be provided with HRT and come off the puberty blockers to begin the opposite puberty, just at a later age than most of their peers. While HRT _is_ experimental, more data is soon to come as trans people are beginning to be able to live longer lives, on top of more people feeling comfortable to come out and consult their doctors to have access to the necessary healthcare like HRT or puberty blockers.
• I can't tell if you are or aren't implying that pride or even the existence of queer people is a conspiracy thought up by multi-billion-dollar corporations, but I'll assume you're not. Companies 999 times out of 1000 only see vaguely-humanoid rainbow-painted bags of money when they look at queer people. They typically use pride as a protest and movement to act like they care about queer people in order to gain the validation of and karma points from the casual good person. It's all a marketing ploy for profit. That's not to say that pride itself or the LGBTQIA+ community have been shaped or influenced by those promotions. Hell, we actively condemn them.
• Again, queer people don't want to "corrupt your children", what is to be had in somehow influencing children to, what, be a sexuality or gender identity they aren't? That's the last thing we want other people to go through, we understand the harm first-hand in not letting be who they really are or love who they really love.
• I don't understand what you mean by "the movement as a whole, even if some members if it dont realize it and dont actively condone it", I've heard this sentiment a million times from homophobes and transphobes on Twitter (not saying you are one) and I've never understood it. I've gone online and looked into all the content they seem to fall into and it's all either videos and photos that are edited or taken out of context, or it's cishet people commentating on a community they aren't a part of, and instead are just fueling the hatred already given.
