Emily is such a fresh of breath air for movies today. I'm very happy for her and the amazing career she has. Sacario was amazing. Thanks for posting this.
Shes like another reese witherspoon. Pure natural and really balanced. Love her accent her demeanor and her talented acting abilities. Her and john make a great coupled
+Joe Smith While it is an incredible film, that doesn't really mean much. Cannes audiences are pretentious that always either boo a movie or give it a standing ovation
Her left eye is ever so slightly closed and looks at you in a very soothing and relaxed manner, whereas her right eye is almost fully wide open with this specific piercing look. Like, you want to stare but at the same time you don't want to stare, but you just do because it's a very captivating look.
What a surprise to hear her speaking with an English accent. I admired her work in Sicario and I never had any idea she was British. She mastered the American accent, with many Brit's never can.
The last 10 minutes of this interview are just heaven. She gives us a huge range of laughs, looks, and joy in general....The interviewer was the key too. I've just fell in love with Emily. Big time. LOL
How can you not like how real and down to earth she is; it gives her beauty a dimension that so many in entertainment just don't have. Looking forward to whatever more she does.
Absolute babe. A cracking performance in one of the best films of 2015. I love the fact that the bad elements of the media leaves her and her family alone because they are "boring". This is the difference between creating ripples and waves in public life that a lot of celebs could learn from.
I just love Emily Blunt ... a serious actress with an incredible range ... yet she manages to stay down to earth & keep a much needed sense of humor & perspective on herself and her craft ... plus, Emily's a Hottie who loves a challenge ... that's why she married John ...
Very well done interview. Very personal. I've never heard of DP/30, but I appreciate that this interviewer knows what questions to ask and how to have a real rapport with the guest. Excellent questions.
Brilliant interview with a brilliant actress. Emily Blunt has to be the worlds number 1 actress at the moment. Thanks for sharing. Learn much more from your interviews than any other, always very insightful. I second that about a Facebook page. Keep up the good work!
I had absolutely no chance, and now 10 years later I am still hurt, destroyed, damaged, in some meta world, in some bizzare half life state of being in a shadow land
Sandra Bullock is my favorite actress. She's one of the type of actresses who have received accolades because of actual performance and not for looks. I respect the acting ability of both women.
Hmmm, beauty and intelligence. She's SO GORGEOUS! Conventional wisdom might say I should be intimidated. But I'm not! She makes everyone feel at ease, her confidence is highly contagious. I love her!
Thank you for such an interesting interview! I'd love to hear how her opinions changed during the last 8 years. 21:00 I think she mentioned she's grown to like the red carpets in a recent press tour.
Loved sicario and indeed blade runner 2049 and arrival. All brilliant 4K makes a big difference when you’ve got such talent behind it. The writers (Taylor Sheridan) wild river, hell and high water all very good.
If people are wondering why she seems a little apprehensive (although not outwardly) after having been asked a question, it is because she is constantly being caught off her guard. Actors need to regulate what they say, when asked questions pertinent to the projects on which they've worked. Emily's beautiful and what I love about her, would be the fact that you can visualise her forming her sentences. In and out of her comfort zone. Lovely interview (y)
Now that the Psychopathic NRA trolls have left ( right ) / per American Sniper - Just want to say thanks , rarely comment but do love your chanel . IMO This was a great film and is absolutely worth rewatching for specific reasons.
She says that she doesn't watch some of the movies she's in because it might be bad or her performance might be bad. Why would you do a movie if you think it might be bad?
+avox n She seems to have changed in her interviews since she got that stupid backlash for a joke she made about being an American. Shame because she was very fun and open before.
I thought that Sicario is one of the best films I've ever seen; She and Julia Roberts both have this vein on their forehead that appears then disappears then appears even bigger
I think Blunt is a fabulous actor, but let me be "blunt." She was absolutely, totally miscast as the CIA recruit in this film. This role required a tough as nails professional killer who would do exactly what she was told. But instead all this character did was constantly bitch and moan, question her superiors motives, fail to take orders, and eventually compromise her entire crew's mission. This kind of behavior would have washed her out in the first five minutes, but still she persisted in this totally untenable behavior for the entire film. Blunt was more like a kindergarden teacher who suddenly found herself in drug cartel hit squad, and her next role should be as a governess to a wealthy family, not a hired gun chasing bad guys south of the border.
While I like nearly all of the characters she's played I didn't like her character in this film. She complained, cried, just didn't get it, wouldn't get on the program and didn't have a clue as to WHY they were trying to disrupt the drug dealers. When she was told NOT to go into the bank she acted like she knew what she was doing was the best way even though it was explained to her at least three times they needed to get to to the main jefe not one of the underlings. When her character was shot twice Alejandro for attempting to screw up the operation I wished he would have killed of her character instead of teaching her a lesson. In case you are not aware getting shot with a vest will still cause a great deal of pain. In her case not enough pain they going to tell everyone what they're doing made the situation worse. Her character could have been killed and easily blamed on the cartel and everyone would have been Ok with the report and sent it up the chain. Its hard to believe that she and her partner were totally clueless as to what is necessary to deal with the cartel. Since Matt has tactical command of the operation he should have made the decision to have her boss Jennings recall her back to standard FBI duties. She's not a team player. Her character could have been killed at least three times and once by Alejandro. She was a risk to the op from the very beginning. I have to say she played her part to a T. Of course this is a film and you can do anything you want in a film. In real life she never would have been offered the opportunity to volunteer. She doesn't have previous combat experience nor was she prior military. Prior military service guarantees a team member will FOLLOW orders without question.
What an accomplished and confident woman. She's never caught off guard and answers every question with care. She's at the top of her profession.
Emily is such a fresh of breath air for movies today. I'm very happy for her and the amazing career she has. Sacario was amazing. Thanks for posting this.
Sicario, not Sacario :-)
+KillerReviews 'Sacario' refers to a man who collects scrotums.
+jaye see Sounds like we have a sequel on our hands. The Ball Collector :-)
“A fresh of breath air”? Will Smith was in that, wasn’t he?
Everything about her is lovely. Krasinski is a lucky guy.
Emily Blunt is fantastic and Sicario is easily one of the best movies I've seen so far this year.
Blunt is amazing. Truly one of the most talented actresses working today.
die haben da mein Leben vernichtet, wohlwissend
Shes like another reese witherspoon. Pure natural and really balanced. Love her accent her demeanor and her talented acting abilities. Her and john make a great coupled
i wish you could get her back for another interview, I love her and love your interviews
Sicario received a 7 minute standing ovation at Cannes.
+Joe Smith While it is an incredible film, that doesn't really mean much. Cannes audiences are pretentious that always either boo a movie or give it a standing ovation
+roloug95 true. don't get your perception falsed by spontaneous receptions.
+Philippe Beauchamp hehe Timbuktu went 10 , that's a lot of clap clap . .
+Down Range Film pan's labyrinth got a 20 min. standing ovation back when it was presented at cannes.
+Joe Smith Yeah, the people who descend on Cannes are renowned for their honesty and sincerity.
Anyone else had to watch this multiple times because they kept losing themselves in Emily Blunt's eyes? Anyone?
Her left eye is ever so slightly closed and looks at you in a very soothing and relaxed manner, whereas her right eye is almost fully wide open with this specific piercing look.
Like, you want to stare but at the same time you don't want to stare, but you just do because it's a very captivating look.
Same with Emma Stone.
love this woman.
so down to earth
+moiraine_damodred Considering...
One of my favorite people ! Just adore her
What a surprise to hear her speaking with an English accent. I admired her work in Sicario and I never had any idea she was British. She mastered the American accent, with many Brit's never can.
Emily and Benicio did a really good job, Sicario is definitely one of the best movies of 2015
12:12 You made her blush, lol.
She IS very likable. What a contagious smile!
+E Liz It cost over $150.000.
She's freaking charming person
Everything about her is so captivating
Like her smile, she's cut. Great performance in Sicario too!!
The last 10 minutes of this interview are just heaven. She gives us a huge range of laughs, looks, and joy in general....The interviewer was the key too. I've just fell in love with Emily. Big time. LOL
She’s irritatingly charming isn’t she ? Ugh I love her 💙
"Open your eyes!" poor Benicio, hahahahahahaha ~ Loved Sicario, great movie, Emily was great in it.
How can you not like how real and down to earth she is; it gives her beauty a dimension that so many in entertainment just don't have. Looking forward to whatever more she does.
She's beautiful and authentic.
Absolute babe. A cracking performance in one of the best films of 2015.

12:14 Awwww look at her blushing. She's not the type of person who is expecting to be fed compliments.
Very well done interview. Very personal. I've never heard of DP/30, but I appreciate that this interviewer knows what questions to ask and how to have a real rapport with the guest. Excellent questions.
This was an amazing interview. The questions were very interesting and engaging. Great interviewer and wonderful actress and speaker Emily Blunt is.
This is such a great interview!
She's amazing.
Great actor!

Intelligece, warmth, humor, personability, vision, approachability; how can you not like her?
Sandra Bullock and Emily Blunt should do a movie together!
Sandra Bullock is my favorite actress. She's one of the type of actresses who have received accolades because of actual performance and not for looks. I respect the acting ability of both women.
you sir, are a great interviewer. thanks!
I'll just eat anti deroressants till my social mind turns
Another great interview!
Hmmm, beauty and intelligence. She's SO GORGEOUS! Conventional wisdom might say I should be intimidated. But I'm not! She makes everyone feel at ease, her confidence is highly contagious. I love her!

Edge of Tomorrow is the greatest action film in years. I would put it on par with Mad Max: Fury Road.

someone left the auto-exposure on...
I will never heal from this
13:47 Amen
Emily Blunt would make a good Trinity if they remade the Matrix.
YES!
YOU R THE NEW MERYL STREEP!! 💖💖💖💖
She says that she doesn't watch some of the movies she's in because it might be bad or her performance might be bad. Why would you do a movie if you think it might be bad?
Master when did she say that?
Is it me or was she a bit distracted here? Maybe just a bit tired. Lovely as ever though.
+avox n She seems to have changed in her interviews since she got that stupid backlash for a joke she made about being an American. Shame because she was very fun and open before.
+MrRandomTuber Pretty sure she's just tired. One can't make it in Hollywood if one is that self-conscious.
+avox n Fragrant?
avox n she was just a few weeks pregnant at the time.
wrbennett7 I was coming here to say this. In retrospect, knowing she was pregnant in ‘girl on the train’ made me wonder if she was pregnant here.
Well what is the Hollywood thing? :)
Funny how she doesn’t like praise
You should know I'm about to jump

i did not like when she said " it`s a shame when people judged a film based on its opening weekend"
be cool with fail Emily
dolce s it is a stupid way to judge a film. Some studios don’t promote a film for crap and it has to live on word of mouth.
Shes right about edge of tomorrow its was a great movie
I think she just means that just because something doesn’t smash the box office on the opening seeking it doesn’t mean it was a failure
