We start ours from slips as well. We ordered them in the past years, but they've been damaged in transit this past year. I'm glad to see we're not the only ones doing it the hard way.
Hey Dom... just got back upstairs and here's something pleasant to view...I had never seen red sweet potatoes until this past year... they probably had them before... just never paid attention... you know I'm thinking maybe I can put glass around my top deck in the back to start my hand at growing things... anyway it's down the road a bit...got a few things ahead of that... glad the appointment with your daughter went well 🙏... it's in the 40s here in Pa... but it's going to be cold next week... so I'll be going out tomorrow to get a new things and pick up all the stuff my granddaughter likes... see you next time...
Hey Don. I pray Nielle feels better soon ❤. Thank you for sharing starting sweet potato slips. I definitely need to start some. I setup my growing rack today and will be dropping my seeds tomorrow. Happy gardening ❤😊
Great video thank you for sharing the tip on lavender I never had success growing it before but now I know why I didn’t even cross my mind to put lavender seeds in the fridge 💚
We are in the same zone I grew eggplant last year be careful of aphids and those tiny little black jumping beetles they love eggplant leaves and they will leave 1 million holes in your leaves if you are OK with spraying with BT at night it helps.
I was just looking up how to start slips when your video appeared. Normally I buy them but I’m looking at cutting cost. Thank you for sharing 😊. Happy gardening 👨🏿🌾 😊💚👊🏾
Im using soil .I purchased some organic sweet potatoes a while back and im only using one potatoe to sprout. I not into sweet potatoes but i like seeing what i can grow. I have tried it before and got a few potatoes. I have a sprout leaf on mine.I dont have much room to grow them anyway so its growing in a LARGE grow bag.
I had a sweet potato that had started sprouting so I spared its life - well, that end it any🎉way. It is in water like a avocado seed and the sprouts look happy so far. Never grew sweet potatoes - we are too far north for them. (Central Illinois and now western Washington state) but we have dry summers and usually late falls so who knows.
I hope baby girl is ok, she may be already taking one BUT if not try her on a daily powdered probiotic. The one I use for my daughter is the Culturelle brand. You’ll want to get the kids one that comes in packets. Put it in her morning drink and her evening drink. Helps with stomach issues, nausea, regulating bm, and all good bacteria in their little stomach. My daughter had a spell of vomiting and I did that along with removing dairy from her diet. It stopped. She is 3. Hope this info helps you😊
amzn.to/41I1T90 I used this journal from Cas over @semojo homestead. It is from last year but I didn't use it much last year so I'm using it this year... Also, I'm not sure if she's making one for this year
Dom thank you for your videos. They are a blessing.

Glad I could help!
Hello Dom. I successfully grew ground cherries last year and I saved them (also snacking on some) and made jam. It is soooo good
I wanna make some jam this year!!

They should give you a great amount in a large bag!
@@faithfamilyhomestead ok Thanks 😊
While sprouting using water worked for me, the soil method was much faster.

Worth a shot!

Thank you! She did get some samples of Culturelle from the doctor and has been on it for about a month.
@@faithfamilyhomestead perfect then it may be as simple as something that has to be eliminated from her diet.
Hi Dom
Hey
❤
Do you have a link for the log you use to map and journal?
amzn.to/41I1T90
I used this journal from Cas over @semojo homestead. It is from last year but I didn't use it much last year so I'm using it this year... Also, I'm not sure if she's making one for this year
Thank you. I use a binder now.
