20 years later, Kramer was right with places like Pieology, Pizza Rev, etc.
You aren't the one making it though. You don't touch the dough or put it into the oven.
lol. just saw an article in our local newspaper about a new restaurant where you make your own tacos. I instantly thought of this scene from Seinfield!
Melting Pot 🙄 where they charge you an arm and a leg to cook your own food!
Kramer looks like a totally different person without his long bushy side burns and longer hair.
Almost 20 years for me to realize they're talking about abortion at the end.
@@thepolice5542 It's a call back to an earlier scene where Elaine and Poppy have a heated discussion concerning abortion
I actually had a dream once that I opened my own make-your-own pizza parlour before watching Seinfeld. Watching this episode was surreal.
+Pat on UA-cam LOL...bet your eyes went POW when you first saw this episode....much like Poppy's when he first heard of Kramer's idea....surreal fo sho!! Cheers
Papi’s accent is the best! 😂
A crazy outlandish ahead of it's time idea in the early 90s.
A pretty normal, not even unique experience business idea in 2020s - Kramer was a visionary.
....and cucumbers.... no ! What are you doing ? ! LOL. There goes that idea.
Last thing anyone needs is kramer "supervising".
My wife & I met Michael Richards in person at a Natural / Health Food Store across the street from a coffeeshop where we first spotted him & his female friends on the morning of July 4th, 2010 in Lewisburg, West Virginia.
He is clumsy. He dropped the lid on a spice jar & said " You see, I really am clumsy in real life ".
GRT
The reason that they're arguing about the pizza is because this is supposed to be a metaphor for the debate on inception between people who are pro-life and pro-choice. Popi is mimicking the argument of a pro-lifer and Kramer a pro-choicer. At the end of the show, Elaine breaks up with the moving man, because he's pro-life and she's pro-choice. The creative storylines is one of the many things that made Seinfeld such a great show.
Personally, I think the pizza idea is brilliant.
It's not a pizza until it comes out of the oven!
It's a pizza the moment you put your fist in the dough!
Everybody knows someone like Kramer with crazy invention ideas lol
Very funny! Great show!
I love the abortion debate symbolism at the end. Seinfeld was such a clever and smart show apart from being groundbreaking and hilarious.
Coming this summer to Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. Build your own pizza during baseball games.
They made a store where you make your own teddybear.
dear friend brought this to my attention... restaurant idea in Island Park to open this Spring!
The funny thing is that this is a real restaurant now. Mario Batali has a restaurant where you go in and make your own pizza.
this is a thing where im from too, it works well for people who are dating, its a fun activity
thank god for you uploading all of these
Anyone noticed that Subway cashed in on Kramer's idea?
flyboyissac1 Even if he weren't a fictional character, there's three problems. It's obvious (therefore not patentable), it wasn't patented, and Subway makes sandwiches, not pizzas.
***** Kramer is a real person. Although I'm not sure if the real Kramer had this idea.
I do know that the real Kramer did file a lawsuit against a Seinfeld writer.
+Cole P Telling someone what to put in your sandwich is different from making it yourself though.
I like how Jerry and his couch are matching.
"One day you'll beg me to make your own pie" 😄
Kramer is a genius... enough said.
kramer looks so f-ing funny in that hat
Seems like a good idea.
I think this is a great idea Kramer had
We cannot give the people the right to choose any topping they want! On this issue there can be no debate!
Not a pizza until it comes out of the oven 🤣🤣
yeah it's the perfect analogy.
REALLY! cool!
wow your right.. Thats awsome.
kramer: what kind of a person ar you...?!
jerry: i dont know...
XD
We think this is an outstanding idea! And you won't burn your arms at our place. #piefive
now I want pizza!
Cramer is my third favorite all time character
Just worked for a pizza place with that same basic idea called Ipie in Denver, co. Kramer is waaaay ahead of our time.
I agree with Poppie. I have a friend who wanted to put ketchup on his pupusa one time. I was shocked.
uploaded in 2008? At this (high) quality? Like, HOW???
Ya wow… way back in 2008 all we had to work with was sticks and tiny pebbles.
why would they have cucumbers right there? haha... such a classic scene and the metaphor is brilliant
Kramer the man with the plan 😁
I agree with Kramer at the end
George and Kramer clothes were very different in the beginning...that pratfall wow
it kills me how Kramer plays golf with show biz people and starts all these business's but never had a job the whole time.
Kramer's idea has become a reality! Sorrento's restaurant on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas cruise ship has a make your own pizza bar!
This reminds me of a real restaurant in Bellevue WA back in the 70's called The Flame. You go in & cook your own steak that they give you. It went down in flames - probably arson bc it wasn't doing so well.
Yeah, back in HS on a field trip we went to a restaurant like that in Colorado. It was my first time ever cooking a steak, lol.
Putting restrictions on toppings defeats the entire purpose of making your own pie. Ha ha.
"One day, you'll beg me to make your own pie"
I think the make your own pizza place is actually a good idea. I bet it would do well as a different kind of place you can take a date to, or as something fun "for the family."
Well even 10 years ago when you wrote the comment, I'm not sure how different it really was. Because when you ordered a pizza, couldn't you select the toppings? And over time they allowed you to modify all sorts of things. The type of sauce, the type of cheese, the type of dough...so really Kramer's idea is pretty much already out there and being used for many deliveries
That couch looked like it was nothing but air in it
You should all try papa murphys, its basically this. But kinda mixed with subway, you tell them the ingredients, then they put it together. Then you take it home and cook it in your own oven
Reminds me of Mel's Char Palace from the early days of SNL.
I went to a place in Texas that let people prepare their own pizzas. Very fun
Odd flannel shirt---- I guess Michael hadn't quite figured out Kramer's wardrobe yet.
I'm too hungry to do this lmao
I agree with Kramer 😁
then you're missing out on something big my friend. something life CHANGING.
I make my own pizza all the time, I wouldnt go to some place for that though!
of course pizza places like this idea, its less work for them, fewer employees, more money, and people can`t complain if the pie they make sucks, whats not to like? XD
Lol hhhhhhhhay I love Kramer🤣
And then came MOD Pizza. The compromise
I don't think people want to have to mess around with dough, I certainly don't, but putting the toppings on maybe. Better still if you have a push button machine for doing it.
My money is tied up in change...
MAKE A PLAYLIST!!!
3:33 Kramer speaking Italian
OMG🤣😆😍
Kramer making a pizza reminds me of Conan in the pizza place
his hair is significantly lower and less frizzy in this episode haha
Kramer, Nostradamus of the now "Pie-ology" make your own pizza🍕 👁🍕
atlascomesnow, yes it's 2 episodes, in Male Unbonding season1 Kramer comes out with the idea and in the Couch, season 6 he is making his own pie
Someone
Dear god, make a remix of that argument
Sloppy Poppy is right. Cucumber on a pizza would taste awful. BTW the best sitcom of all time begins and ends with Seinfeld!!
My money's tied up in change
I've taught a lot of pizza cooks how to throw the dough - and, NO, you can't make your own pizza.
First ever shark tank
Anyone get the it’s a pizza, it’s not a pizza debate at the end? They were comparing when it’s a pizza to when a fetus is a person.
In today’s world, Elaine would not be eating the duck, and I’m certain she would be vegan
Busted by the Board of Health. So now.
Kramer predicted Piology lol
Wow, Kramer almost broke his arm there.
Pizza-abortion comparison near the end?
I
I have to say something
with
with all due respect
I
I just never
I can't imagine anyone
in any walk of life
under any circumstance
wanting to make their own pizza pie
but that's me
Is Jerry wearing the same shirt in both scenes?
Did Elaine get anywhere with the moving guy?
LMFAO @ 2:26 classic kramer XD
Somehow I can't imagine Kramer spending enough to buy quality ingredients.
New Yorkers crack me up calling a pizza a "pie"/Nobody where I am (Boston area) calls it a pie.
Lebron James must have watched this before he bought into Blaze Pizza.
It's a pizza from the point of inception. Adoption, not rejection. Care for pizza. You can drop off unwanted pizzas at any Police station or Fire Department. No questions asked.
It's funny how Easterners call it "pizza pie." Out west we just call it "pizza."
The abortion bit is genius.
is one of the movers Harmon Rab from JAG? the tall guy?
@macarion haha I never noticed that
IT'S ALL SUPERVISED!!
+1 often forgotten line, but a great one
Oh well 💁
🤣😭🤣😭🤣😭🤣😭
