Commissioner Martin tours flood-affected Townsville to thank staff

Commissioner Peter Martin visited Townsville on Friday to pay tribute to the work of QCS officers in ensuring public safety.
Despite many of our officers being impacted by flooding, those who could make it to work ensured the safety and security of Townsville Correctional Centre, housing nearly 1000 prisoners, and offenders in the community were monitored as usual.
Custodial and community corrections staff joined up to lend a hand to their colleagues whose houses were inundated during the flood.
