Thank you Eric Musgrove, and everyone at the library, for all the time and effort you have put into doing these presentations. I find these really interesting and have been wanting to make it one in person, but have not had the chance yet. This is definitely the next best thing. At around the 38:00 mark (ua-cam.com/video/b9cZWdzuR6g/v-deo.htmlsi=i--IGCCc1d9BlAU3&t=2281) you are talking about the Ghost Town of Columbus. I live right near there and I was just wondering if you could clarify... is this Ellaville? Or is this the other side of the river and was actually considered another town? I do have a fascination with Ellaville and have since we moved here 20 years ago. Our property had an old logging trail through it when we purchased it and we have found a lot of things on the property over the years that indicate that there was some kind of settlement/homestead set up here at one time. Now that I am learning about this town named Columbus in the same area as Ellaville, I am even more curious. The timeframe you mention for Columbus is around the same timeframe that Ellaville was active as well, if I remember correctly. Thanks to your presentation, I now have another town I want to research. Can you also tell me of any other towns that were in this area in past? Thank you so much for your time and keep up all the great work. I am so happy that I found these videos.
